Love the cold air intake, dang could have been ram air. Plastic intake manifolds seem to still be a mainstay with Ford...those plastic pieces crack over time, wish they were polished aluminum..
The digital instrument cluster gives you the gear your are in, even though this a manual. I wished I had that feature on my 2018 Mustang GT with manual transmission...
I really like it. I wish a classy subtle retro round clock was over the passenger console, to the right of the Bullitt badge. Just my kink there. (It would match the other 2 round center gauges. SWEET!)
Andy Hernandez Do your research Andy. You have 4 piston brakes up front unless you ha e a PP1 or PP2 period. Get on the Ford.com site and try to get 6 piston brakes on anything but a Shelby or a PP. I’ll wait for your apology.
I would try and chrome the plastic splitters and try and put a chrome ring around the black rear deck and lights etc, match it a little closer to the original. Glad they've brought it to the UK but it's a little heavy price wise in comparison to the normal GT's
I would get that Bullitt badge for the back because it looks so cool but i wouldn't want to look like i'm faking a bullitt. it just looks so much better than the basic GT badge
People are looking back at what turned out to be collectible 50 years ago... and thinking this will as well. They should consult with anybody from the 80's that thought the same thing about a Grand National
Depends on what you consider overpriced. Could you make a Bullitt out of 5.0 GT for less? If so, then it's overpriced. If not, then it's all what people like. There are good margins to be made in lots of luxury goods. If you're frugal, you'll just drive a used Corolla and shop at Walmart.

The transmission is what concerns me. Cast aluminum forks in the transmission are breaking, there is a backlog to get replacement parts and you are without a car for 2 to 3 months. Has anything changed? I love Mustangs but not the new downgraded transmission.
I wish the electronic gauge number font was the same as the new edge bullitt font that would of been nice. Since the new edge gauges font was different than all other new edge models. And it looked retro like the original
John, I lied. It's been so long since I've owned that 01 Bullitt I had to Google for pics of the 01. It did come with the running horse in the grill. Also, I "think" my production number started with 27xx. Memory, the first thing to get fuzzy with age, LOL!
I have a 2017 gt350 I bought from Trishler. I love that car. Except for the fact hood is on crooked and some underwood screws been off which makes me wonder if they fixed it and didn't disclose it or if the Ford quality is that poor. Still car is awesome and beautiful. In fairness I have never brought up problem plus I paid 3000 premium over sticker just to get the car. At that time were hard to get.
Still think it should have came with the rear window slats like the original fast back. Also hate the huge rear Bullitt emblem. Just think that it could have been more then an Mustang GT with a Bullitt emblem.

Ian Robertson I was thinking about a Shelby steering wheel ( like the original Bullitt had ) and maybe a retro faux gas cap from a 60’s or 70’s GT to replace the badge on the back.
I have a 2017 GT PP with an after market tune(which included a throttle body and cold air intake). It's plenty of car for me but I'm old (having owned at about the time of the original a 60's Sunbeam Tiger Mark II). A GT350 is out of my price range but I would consider the Bullitt. I like the Chevy and it does look aggressive (performance-wise it's great) but it's not really my personality. To each his own.
Do you think when you were revving it up and all the different modes maybe you could have taking a couple of seconds to get out so we could have actually heard it and heard the difference while it's sat there and idle for a second.
These newer performance cars are great no doubt but as the hood is open I can't see how the heck the owner would know we're to begin to work on it themselves crazy , also all these new supercharged cars etc the price tag to fix it ??????

Not sure if this was already said in the comments (because I'm not going to read all 293 comments (at this time), but the reviewer failed to mention there is no Mustang running horse logo on the grill. Worth talking about because every Mustang since 1965 has had a running horse in the grill except the Bullitt(s). The Bullitt movie director didn't like it, thought it was a distraction from the scenes where they shot the Mustang showing the front. I bought a new Bullitt in 2001, number 2939 Black (I hate green!) paid $27,xxx. Sold it six years later with 19,xxx miles on her for $16,xxx that's more than half of what I paid new. You would have never got that kind of resale value out of any other (stock) 2001 GT Mustang. Used the money to help buy a low mile Terminator. Still have that 19,xxx mile Terminator today!
There are many year models of Mustang GT500's with no Mustang running horse emblem on the grill. The '13 and '14 model year GT500's don't even have a grill. They do have cobras to the side though.
Those are SHELBYS, a specialty Mustang (not considered regular production, limited runs.) My 03 SVT Cobra doesn't have a grill, just a running horse (once again, not considered regular production, limited runs.)As we all know, both Carroll Shelby and Ford have built Shelby's. Weather it was in the 1960s or currently. I'll give you credit, the 1979-1980s Fox platform Mustangs only had the blue oval up-front. I believe the running horse came back with the SN-95 platform in the 1990s.

You could take your GT500 to Shelby if you were looking for something special and have them do a Super Snake conversion. Those I would agree are specialty (non-production) cars.

Do not like where they've gone with the body styling..when they got it so right in the 2005 and later body style. The classic Mustang style has always been squared off with a solid stance, and a high rear end..sorry I got rid of my 2005, wouldn't get a new one.

6 Piston Brembos are NOT standard on the Mustang GT. They’re included in the PP1 and 2 options. GT comes with 4 Piston brakes.

the standard grey brakes are not 6 pistons and are not brembos, the only brembos are the black ones that comes with the perf pack.

GT comes with 14”. 4 piston front brakes per Ford.com! Only PP cars get the 6 piston Brembos.

Ford finally has decent factory wheels for the mustang. The last time they were nice were the gray 5 star pony on the 80's lx's

Why does the bullit get to have the GT350 open air intake? Can we please make the new GT with 200 mph on dash and open air intake?
This car should at least have rear brembos. I felt like my 2016 Preformace pack should of had them too. All sports cars in that price range all have them
I can't disagree. It wouldn't be that hard to put a set of 4 piston matching Brembos on there like the GT350

A fancy cluster with a plethora of options is the last thing that should've been included in vid for a car of this performance level.. Ford trucks have the same thing mayne! Where's the stats? HP and torque numbers, transmission and clutch feel, steering feedback, handling etc? Forgot your gopro and only got it up to 15mph.. I still gave you a like tho

Do not like where they've gone with the body styling..when they got it so right in the 2005 and later body style. The classic Mustang style has always been squared off with a solid stance, and a high rear end..sorry I got rid of my 2005, wouldn't get a new one.
Truly expected more. Such a let down, its basically a standard Mustang painted green with tacky badging, tires and rims. And only for $50K.
So what does the Bullitt offer over a Mustang GT loaded with the same stuff except all the badges, chrome trim, 20 extra hp and hyped up price?
