Congrats on your new toy! It's spectacular and if it were my type of car, I wouldn't have changed a single thing. The color is eye popping insane. It's perfection all the way around. I always turn my head when I see the new GT but this one is the "creme dela creme".

Cool to see the Bullitt more in depth Matt! A guy who lives down the street from me has a 2008 Mustang Bullitt, I always like seeing it whenever I pass by since you definitely don't see them often. I'm a huge fan of the movie, I think more people who don't understand why we're so into this car need to see the movie and that car chase! Ford really got this car right if you ask me, I love how discrete it is.

5 years late here, you nailed it , very few people review the bullitt as accurately as you did.
its a beauty ! cant wait to hear a full on review once its broken in...the bulitt looks Soooo damn tasteful ,clean and understated in its looks...whoever designed it deserves a pat on the back
Does it reduce exhaust sound back to normal note like from sport to normal on 6th gear? I had a 2016 Mustang Shelby GT350 and would use it on sport mode and sounded sweet but after shifting to 6th gear the noise went back to normal and quiet.
Im looking to get a camaro zl1 or the new gt500 ( when it comes out ) but I can’t choose .. any suggestions?

Hi Matt, what's this break in period you are doing for your car? Do you do this for all performance style cars? What does the break in involve? Thanks.
I'm just following the owner's manual. Every car's procedure is different. For the Mustang it says "try not to drive too fast for the first 1,000 miles and change up through the gears early. Avoid keeping the car at a constant speed and don't labor the engine." So basically, no redlining and no cruise control.

Hi Matt. I think I remember you saying you're in western PA. What do you do with your mustang in the winter? I'm in eastern Ohio and am considering a mustang but don't know if I need a winter beater for snow or if snow tires on the mustang will suffice. Thanks!
With my past Mustangs I've ran snow tires and been fine as long as I wasn't going up steep hills covered in snow. For the Bullitt, I won't be driving it unless it's over 40 degrees. I get press cars pretty often and will drive those during the winter along with sharing the wife's car.
The Ricaro seats beside the issues electrical and heated or cool option. Would you guys get them or not for 6"1" Hight and 210 weight??

Well done Matt, I had ordered my Bullitt soon after you had. Still have it, still love it. I appreciate your pointing out all of the differences, especially the subtle ones.
Your are the only one in my research who pointed out the Standard Seats as being unique. Also the speedometer reaching 180 ( that I didn’t even notice ). I have 30K miles so far, exhaust is even throatier than it was 10,000 miles ago. As far as mods are concerned: I put in Ford Performance Springs, which lowered 1 inch. (Looks Great). Ford performance hood struts for convenience. Cleanable air filter. Had the headliner done in Black Alcantara with Green Stitching. Floor mats with The Car # & GT embroidered with green. Tires are now Firestone Indy 500’s . All these mods can be reversed to Stock. BTW, You run a nice clean channel. All the best

Noticed you had something plugged in with the cord going from the center stack to the passenger side front corner dash.....radar detector? Gopro?

Hey Matt, thanks for the insight into differences, very interesting. I'm old enough to have seen the movie "Bullitt" at theaters when it came out. Well. as much as I like the original Stang, I like yours better. FYI, I left a comment in Sofyan's page asking both of you to make a video testing out each other's new cars. Would be fun.
I don't understand why Ford doesn't offer Recaros with power and comfort options. My CTS-V came with the $1,600 optional 16-way Recaros which are heated and cooled. There is NO reason Ford can't offer something similar.

Recaros = RACE CAR VROOOM. Weight saving man.
Cause original racing seats arent power ajustable.
I wonder if the green interior stitching comes with the shadow black bulitt mustangs.

Do u know for sure if they fixed the shift fork issue in the 19s?? I watched a tuner from Lund racing and on a spirited driving trip the forks broke at 600 miles
I don't know 100% yet but I'm pretty sure they improved them for the 19s.
Can you do a video on the Performance Shift Indicator? Show all the different modes setup etc. there’s nothing out there that I can find! Thanks!!
ill be buying a 16-17 GT350 from an auction crashed, do you know if a V6 or a V8 mustang has the same shell and reinforcement as a GT350 shell? im thinking might be easier to swap everything from GT350 onto a V6 non crashed shell?
Pretty sure the whole front end of the GT350 is unique from the a-pillar forward. I think they lowered the reinforcements and pulled them out a tad. Hood, fenders, bumpers are all lower too.
That will be quite difficult. you’re probably better off buying a 5.2 block from ford racing to put in a wrecked GT
Matt Maran Motoring yea the exterior is obvious I was thinking about shell and reinforcement and subframe etc... will prob just try getting one not badly damaged to have less headaches when rebuilding lol
Travis James yea but also trans and all the drivetrain and suspension is different, I was thinking if but rolled GT350 and slightly hit V6 and swap it all

My dealer has one marked up from 51k to 61k. If I wait a few months will the mark up on these cars go down? Also well i even be able to get one.

Beautiful car man, very hapoy you finally got it. Ive been watching your channel for a while and i love what you do, keep up the amazing work my friend. Oh and also, I kinda wish Dodge would get some licensing rights to the Bullitt movie too. Then they could make a Bullitt edition Charger. I think it would be quite interesting to see and they would look handsome paired up together.

How would you compare the Guard green colour with that of Dark Highland Green, Matt?
Guard had more gray in it, this has more green and a little blue.
Matt Maran Motoring Thanks Matt. I have a Guard green myself and have seen the new Bullitt in the flesh but only on a dull day where things start to all verge towards a dark grey. I reckon seeing them both in bright sunlight would help the differences pop out.

LOVE that car, I am not super fond of the S550, although they still are cool cars, but that one is sexy af. I wish they would have made some later model S197 Bullitt after the 2008 one. Keep up the content, thanks Matt!

Love the BULLITT, would you ever try widening the rear tire a little? I know it’ll never be as wide as the PP2 for the GT’s but I’m caught in the middle of PP2 GT or your car they’re both beautiful.
I like wheelspin and a more playful back end so I plan to keep the stock tire width.

Matt you should dyno the bullitt & get a base line, I’m curious to see what the difference is with the 3rd gen coyote & gt350 mani over the stock 18gt mani.
The exhaust note is it different when compared to a regular GT Mustang as the Bullitt did in previous generations
Yes, a little deeper thanks to the different tuning and intake components.

I’ve seen a lot of hate on TH-cam but this is insane. Everyone is on Matt for is purchase for no reason he wanted the car he got it. He has stated clearly he didn’t want the gt350 leave him alone with his money. Be glad he can afford something he genuinely wanted. Most of the people sayin what he should do with his money don’t even have the money to afford what they are recommending for him. Do you and respect his choice and commend him for the hard work it took him to get him this. Good job Matt keep up the good work.

I'm keeping it all stock. The chrome is one of the unique things. Deleting it makes the Bullitt less unique.
The chrome looks good imo. Too many cars now are chrome deleted. #BringBackTheChrome

No it's the same pony symbol as other Premium trim Mustangs.

Love the physical E brake! Sadly, the last 3 manuals I have purchased, all have the button. Golf R. Chevy SS. Cayman GT4.
Just a guess, but the gt350 intake may be causing that crackle and pop. When I installed a gt350 intake on my gt, I noticed more crackle and pop.

So did your dealer charge you an "ADM" Additional Dealer Markup? I was going to buy a 2019 Bullitt today, until the sale department called me up a few hours before my sales appt. to say they wanted to make sure i was aware of the $20000 ADM they wanted to charge on top of the $50500 MSRP sticker. FORD website also doesn't include that ADM markup in the payment calculator either. Ended that purchase before it even began. So, why is the Bullitt @ $70K+ better than a Lvl 2 GT Premium which costs less?
Wow I can't believe a dealer is crazy enough to try and get a markup on a Bullitt still. I didn't pay an ADM and I had one of the first Bullitts sold back in 2018. If you search AutoTrader you'll see dozens of Bullitts with huge discounts now, it might just require a little travel to a decent dealership. I drove 4 hours to get mine out of state. Good luck in your search, don't be discouraged by the dumb dealerships!

Amazing car Matt!! The only thing that dissapointed me is that they green stitched the freakin' floormats but didn't do the steering wheel or e-brake boot. Seems kinda odd and lazy to me, the steering wheel is the main piece of the interior, it would look so good in green stitch. Good choice getting the non - Recaro seats as well! Can't wait for the full review and first redline pull :D
Hey Matt, given the 2018's were underrated (dynoing around 480-490), I bet the Bullitt may be close to or over 500hp. Hope you dyno it after break in! Edit: $51K for all that goodness is a great deal. Anyone who says otherwise, doesn't understand the power and coolness per dollar!

They make 490 with simple bolt on mods lol. Not out the box. The bullit night with the gt350 mani and tune though
51k is a shit ton of money for a paint and 2 different badges. You can get the GT with everything the bullitt edition has with the PP. might as well get the GT500 for a little more.
