    Wow, that’s an amazing transformation. After the baseline I said to myself “Ventus black” and sure enough 😁 Maybe I’ve been watching too much of your channel and TXG 🤷‍♂️ I didn’t see the thumbnail until after.
    That thing is a weapon now. Reminds me of Matt’s ‘freaky deaky’ driver on TXG.

    That was incredibly helpful! I feel like I am this customer of yours. I have ball speeds in the 170s and one time touched 177. But I feel like my shaft and probably the club too aren’t the best fit for me. I’m not even carrying 285.

    • @SwingFit
      @SwingFit  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you are touching 170’ then I can safely say your ball flight is far from optimal, something is definitely going on and if I were to guess I might venture to say that your spin may be to high for your speed… getting fit would likely be the only way to know for sure, or at the minimum getting on a launch monitor to find out where your numbers are now would be 2nd best thing.

    This is me! I’ve been playing a 10.5 G400MAX, for the last almost 4 years. Went and got fitted and found the G425MAX beat my stick, but on the course, I just don’t see it and have gone back to my G400MAX. Both shafts are the Ping Tour 65S. Not sure why, just not as constant at all…might try to retro both to see who wins!

    Hit the Trono 65x next to my 6.5 RDX black. The trono felt so much better and allowed me to get the face closed. Are there any other shaft similar to the trono that are not $400? Keep up the great content.

    • @SwingFit
      @SwingFit  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Unfortunately not what truly allows these shafts to be as stable as they are comes down to the type of materials that they are using in the higher end shafts. Mitsubishi just dropped a new one and it too is reporting unmatched stability but it also will have a pretty hefty price tag as well.thanks for the support and question.

      @@robertogarcia2006 you need to work on your attack angle and path. txg also did a good vid on can a new driver fix your slice. They even hit with negative AA. Still fixed the problem. You need a draw head though. To retrofit your existing driver you probably need aftermarket weights (only 2 or 4g in the front is stock i think with 16g in the rear. Possibly you can grab different weights somewhere online to lower your ball flight and spin by moving to a heavier front weight. Hosel set to draw. Best bet is to fix your slice though. Flatten out your lead arm on the backswing so its more across your chest. Make sure you square your shoulders off the start (95% of slicers have open shoulders at address). Slight tilt back of your spine at address. Problem solved

    Surprised you didn’t try the Ventus Blue 6X for him?

    • @SwingFit
      @SwingFit  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It truly came down to his speed and load, the blue likely would have lagged behind just a bit in the tip section. But great thought though.

  • @daniel80111
    @daniel80111 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    How often do you tip shafts? Is it done only when the customer requests it or do you ever suggest it yourself? Thanks!

    • @SwingFit
      @SwingFit  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’ll suggest if it say if the strike pattern is tight in one location but not necessarily on top of one another, and I have found that can be the difference to tighten up the grouping a little better.

  • @wallstreetoneil
    @wallstreetoneil 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    That sub-zero head was the bomber driver for sure - but basically ungameable - I think a few tour guys at the time were using 8/8 weights to make it more forgiving and put it in the right spin-window. I was wondering about his handicap until those final 4 drives - it should be a lesson for everyone that chasing a too low spin driver is almost never a good thing

    • @SwingFit
      @SwingFit  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Couldn’t agree with you more, and having clubs that can be tailored by moving the weights around to fine tune the CG is so crucial and is almost a necessity for any ClubFitter. A driver without adjustability is nothing more then a one truck pony that might fit 10% of the population, well at least from my perspective. Thanks for sharing.

  • @nacksr
    @nacksr 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    So essentially what happens to someone who doesn’t swing fast enough for a x flex compared to a stiff flex? Do you lose yards? Spin up or down? Questioning my current setup now lol

    • @SwingFit
      @SwingFit  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good question I have seen flex do exactly what you just said, sometimes it can improve speed and sometimes it can slow it down, and the explanation is with how the shaft is loading and unloading, if the shaft feels like it is bending or kicking to much then perhaps going a flex stiffer in the same profile can help, but generally I’ll fit for flex or tipping based on what I’m seeing with the strike point towards the end of the session, if I need to tighten it up more I’ll either tip or bump up in flex.

    • @nacksr
      @nacksr 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@SwingFit I have multiple shafts one x flex Ventus velocore 6x and one stiff riptide I was hoping to get on with the x flex and seeing similar ball flights and ball speed but just didn’t think I possessed the raw swing speed for the 6x Ventus

    • @SwingFit
      @SwingFit  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Was not considered the only one I would even consider at this speed would be maybe 7x. But I just don’t think it is still stiff in the handle enough to accommodate the loading demands of a 118mph swing speed. Great thought and observation.

    Dude. This was insane!! I’m a new subscriber, and I’m seriously considering coming your way this winter to do a fit. That Trono is pretty amazing, from everything I’ve seen and heard.
    Question I have though is this - is the Trono true to flex? TXG made is sound as though it’s significantly stiffer. Weird thing is, I ran into a used Radspeed XB with a regular flex Trono in it. Naturally had to swing a few times, and it felt about as a whippy as anything I’ve used. I play a S+ typically and have been considering this in my new PXG Gen 4 X.

    • @SwingFit
      @SwingFit  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      So from a measurement perspective it is stiffer then the Ventus, but It doesn’t play or feel like it it’s a really good product. And we would love to have you come through so we can get you dialed in just let us know when..

      The yardage indicator is for visual representations and is calculating total distance only. This is why we show the averages and data charts in between each series of shots. So sorry to disappoint but just accurate results and data points on our channel.😀
