Watch the Hong Kong lights come alive in this sundown session as we go through career, business, money, personal development, and life lessons with specific examples that have helped me succeed from signing a $40 student loan for college tuition to becoming a self-made millionaire Vice President living in a hotel in one of the most expensive cities in the world.

Thank you, Teenah ❤️ yes never too late, my mother got her real estate appraiser license at age 55. We can move at our own pace as long as we keep moving 💕

Fellow Filipina here. I grew up middle class but a lot of times, my family had financial problems. Also graduated from state university because my parents couldn't sustain private schooling. I agree with everything you said here and I'm glad I found a fellow Filipina who has grit and tenacity to overcome hardships

Thank you, Anne, for the support and for sharing your story as well. I can relate also to financial problems around family, maybe i’ll share my experience on that in future videos. Thanks for the kind words ❤️

Hi! I do love learning finance and minimalism. Thank you for the tips that were explained so well.
As a 20-yr. old finance savvy, this is such a helpful content - I am also leaning onto financial freedom and I agree with all that you said! ❤

Thank you, Rhyah!❤️ I admire that at your age you already have that goal. I started late so it’s one of the things that I wish I did sooner. You’re on the right track, keep it up 💕

I’m an auditor working at PwC in Taiwan for the past year. Thank you for sharing this video!

Thank you for watching ❤️ my first job was in audit! Did it for almost 2 years. It taught me so much, it’s where I started to realize I needed to improve my communication and interpersonal skills, because I had to face audit clients and speak to them a lot.

As a Hong Kong born girl I just moved to another country after years of high intensity work in Hong Kong. Sometimes I miss the old tough days there :) And I love the Hermes ring too, it is so comfy wearing it’s also my everyday ring. Nice videos

Thank you for this video. I’m Filipino as well but grew up in the states and am still finding my way through the accounting industry. I really appreciate the advice you listed here

Thank you for watching. And thank you for suggesting this topic last time 🙂 how long have you been in the industry? I started in external audit (as most accountants in PH usually do) then after 2 years moved to a company that gave me the opportunity to experience financial reporting, regulatory reporting, management reporting, financial planning and analysis, and business strategy throughout the years. Finance is so vast but one skill that has helped me through all the changes (voluntary and involuntary) in my roles was adaptability, change is inevitable whether you seek it or not.

Wow. Thank you so much for such an inspirational video! I am in my late 20s and still trying to figure out my life. Hearing from someone who is successful is very helpful especially when that person tells you their story in details, not like all those vague fancy quotes and yet empty words that anyone can just easily steal from a well-written book. Stories always touch your heart when it's coming from true experiences. English is not my first language either and I would say my biggest investment I've worked on myself is this language. It certainly has benefited me from my past jobs and it really opens up so many options for me. I'm trying to learn other languages like Mandarin as well!
I have a couple of questions after watching your video! Is your current job (VP) accounting related? I stopped my university after I finished my junior year in Chemical engineering because I figured this major did not suit me. I chose this major because, like other Asians, I was good at math and science. However, I realized this major is not what I wanted, and took a break by working at other companies to figure out what I truly like. I am now trying to go back to university after being 5 years away from school but this time, to a different major like accounting. What advice would you give out to a person who's trying to pursue accounting major? if I'm not trying to go for a CPA or CMA?

@@haileyk1843 thank you for watching, Hailey, and thank you for sharing your story also. 💕
My current job is about financial forecasting and analysis, it’s more forward looking rather than the usual accounting/auditing that deals with past events, and it’s also about business and product knowledge. CPA/CMA license is generally helpful as a qualification when you are looking for a job, but it actually becomes less relevant once you are in the job already, as long as you are willing to learn and can easily adapt (i’ve changed my responsibilities/scope so many times within my current role, very dynamic, so I have to learn new stuff almost everyday). It’s really the soft skills that have helped me more (at least in my experience). Also, in my current role, not everyone is a CPA, some have Economics background, and my previous teammate was in fact an actual Engineer who just shifted to Finance jobs :)
If you do decide to pursue Mandarin, you will love it because it’s a very logical language, and you’re good at math 😉

Hi Ate, I’m glad I found your channel. Your story is very inspiring to me and my husband. I totally agree with the mindset you have, and you truly deserve a wonderful life. 🙌 Please make more of these videos! I think your place looks awesome, too-could you do a little tour? Also, what’s your advice on investing in luxury items? 😊🩷

Thank you very much, Vanessa ❤️ I’ve watched your Gentle Monster Her 01 unboxing video long time ago!! I remember I was searching for reviews about it because I needed one and after watching your video I bought it. It looked so good on you and you’ve convinced me to buy it 😊 it’s the only sunglasses I have, and i’ve had it for 2-3yrs already. Which i think also says something about how I invest in luxury items, i go for quality and use them so much so my cost per wear is low. I’ve also adopted minimalism since i moved to HK so I don’t have so much stuff - quality over quantity. So yeah thank you also for that video, really helped 💕
