Yeah. Well here I go again. Texas chili doesn't have beans, traditionally. It's also made with cubes of beef, not ground beef. There was a time when you'd be disqualified at a chili cook-off for using beans, and you'd never get a prize if you used ground beef. Times have changed. By the way, beef is not expensive when one of the cattle dies for some reason like old age and the meat needs to be used or wasted. Those days are mostly gone, too. Now it's dog food, I guess.

I can NOT thank you enough for this recipe! I made it exactly how you said to and even added a little Corona in at the end! I made it for my elderly dad who is pretty picky. He ABSOLUTELY loved it. I absolutely LOVE this recipe! And my man does as well! I’ve cooked it before and was missing a couple ingredients. Took my time and got EVERY ingredient this time. I used a large portion of this recipe with my own modifications and invited my parents over. My mom is an avid cook and said this was the best chili she’s ever had in her life. You made me look like a rockstar lol. Great recipe!
I just made this and it’s definitely a winner! As far as the seasonings, I just added a tablespoon of each and 2 teaspoons of the cinnamon to start off with. You can always adjust it to your liking. The cinnamon makes it everything! ❤

I confused the chili powder with cinnamon one time and I've been putting cinnamon in my chili ever since. Coming from a Texan this is the best chili with beans that I've ever seen. 💯💪🏾
Made this last night. Husband normally makes the chili (basic with no effort) literally ground beef and Prego. He had a bowl and raved about it. Thanks... now it's another dish I've had to take over from his already small list 🤣

@@andreaf3080 Add the brown sugar a pinch at a time, NOT by the tsp. My chili had an amazing taste, then I wanted to try the difference & added brown sugar and now it has a sweet after taste. I'm a bit disappointed in my curiosity! The recipe is awesome tho. Just my preference in taste is my own.

Crystal hot sauce is mild. You definitely have to try the Crystal Garlic hot sauce. It's old school and even sold in local stores in Japan so you know it's good.

I saw chef Michael Chiarrello put dark chocolate in his chilli. Guess ppl use different tricks to get that sweet element needed to offset the acidic tomato. This recipe looks absolutely delicious

Chili is my favorite food by far. I love that there are so many ways to make it, so it never gets old to me. I have a recipe that I make for the office from time time that they love and actively request (Last Winter I made it almost every Friday by their request). I've been working on improving it for a while, and I saw some things in this video that I want to try to add to my own recipe to see how they improve it.

Not to mention the consistency and balance. Native Texan here too. Love a bowl of Texas Red, but also love beans.
