I’m always intrigued by any comic/ animated series’ attempts to involved the concept of a multiverse/ omniverse and how they attempt to rectify the origin of everything by a central creator. And they soon discover the core conundrum: without giving explanations and descriptions that almost seem to be dismissive of any attempt to confront seeming inconsistencies in storyline, how do you meaningfully incorporate concepts such as nothingness and higher dimensional realities without violating its own logic? In Ben 10-Omniverse, the creators/ great equalizers are the Contemelia. They’re higher dimensional beings who can appear as anything that the one viewing them can comprehend... so to Ben, they appear as a giant soft drink. And each universe was an experiment. Their means to destroy any universe, the Annihilaarg. As with DC’s or Marvel’s explanations of sources whose perturbations create that franchise’s version of God, it seems to answer where it came from, but also creates more questions. And incorporating theoretical science topics such as Super String theory, Quantum Field theory and astrophysics doesn’t always help. Anywho, good vid, keep up the good work.

I like the concept of Eldritch fiction becoming mainstream as I feel it opens up new avenues for storytelling that some types of literary pieces are just incapable of creating. One of my favourite examples that has been seen as extremely steeped in lore is Adventure Time. Pardon me for mentioning this program but I feel it explores the mythos of creation in a very child friendly way that illustrates the ideas of omnipotence and such without being too negative and horrific. So, to round out my point, I love stories of ancient entities fighting cuz it's cool n' shit. Peace in the middle East homes.

This actually helped me cope with my existential crises in a way. I see my reality, but it also has a limit to its boundaries, as does everyone else's. Eventually, the world will show me the limits, at which point, I can understand them, and go outside of them. All I need? The proper mindset.

Personally I find DC's take on this pretty convoluted, when you just keep upping and upping and upping to concept of the creator in this fictional setting, you eventually come to a point where little else can be done with such a concept. This is why azatoth is a bit more interesting. Lovecraft enjoyed making horrors and any sense of humanity were always an afterthought in his work, misty because he hated people. So having a horror like azatoth being the be all and end all in his work was fine, you weren't invested in the grounded characters in Lovecraft's story the same way you would be in DC's storytelling

So this just confirms what i always though the presence, source overmonitour ect are all the same they are representations of the writers and exist not only in DC but in every universe out there because artist and writers can change or work for multiple companies. I like the concept of Eldritch fiction becoming mainstream as I feel it opens up new avenues for storytelling that some types of literary pieces are just incapable of creating. One of my favourite examples that has been seen as extremely steeped in lore is Adventure Time. Pardon me for mentioning this program but I feel it explores the mythos of creation in a very child friendly way that illustrates the ideas of omnipotence and such without being too negative and horrific. So, to round out my point, I love stories of ancient entities fighting cuz it's cool n' shit. Peace in the middle East homes.

Personally I find DC's take on this pretty convoluted, when you just keep upping and upping and upping to concept of the creator in this fictional setting, you eventually come to a point where little else can be done with such a concept.
This is why azatoth is a bit more interesting. Lovecraft enjoyed making horrors and any sense of humanity were always an afterthought in his work, misty because he hated people. So having a horror like azatoth being the be all and end all in his work was fine, you weren't invested in the grounded characters in Lovecraft's story the same way you would be in DC's storytelling
