This is why I have respect for the character that is Bruce Wayne, because he is a representstion of what a human can becone when their focus is immovable.
Funny some professionals have the theory that Bruce wouldn't last ten years, even that his body is the pike of the physical form, he is still human, and his body wont endure forever with all the hardships of fighting crime, basically Bruce is a professional player, of any sport, that have a limit of ten or so years before their bodies give up and they need to retire, a Tennis player or a Soccer Players can endure at least ten years before they have bodies spams and torn ligament, so the average retirement age is thirty five.

That line actually can’t work because Tony Stark relied on his suit, Batman actually relied on his skills. Plus Captain America can’t say that because he underwent a supersoldier program, meanwhile bruce wayne became a supersoldier by normal human means.
@Aaron Smith Right, I think you mean the Presence, he is closest thing The One Above All in DC. DC has a bunch of really powerful higher beings. Batman is the world's greatest detective and second best in everything else. If he can't beat you in using one thing, he will beat you with another. You can be the world's sharpest knife but you can't be as useful as a swiss army knife.
at the same time a swiss army knife is only average in the task that it performs, one should be focused on a single objective and become the best in what they choose.

Bouba has a "B" and so it looks like the rounded edges of the shape. It also sounds like "blob", which we would associate, again, with the shape. Plus, you revealed the word bouba first, and the shape is left, ost, which we again, associate with the keft, in genral. Kiki has sharp "K" like corners. It also is the other option, obviously. Since we made this desicion within 5 seconds, I think most of our brains associated the shapes via the explaination above. At least, that's my theory.
See that's a good reason for picking it that way. But the way i thought of it was like this. In English you read left to right, so if you read aloud you could say you're technically talking left to right. Well if he said Bouba first and Kiki second the it'd be Bouba left and Kiki right. Ergo Bouba is on the left and Kiki is on the right. That and Bouba sounds a lot softer than a Kiki. At least thats how i solved it
Batman is an ubermench, he represents the absolute peek of what a human can become both physically and mentally just by working your ass off. The crazy thing is that it is possible, someone can become batman. All of his abilities, while crazy, are not outside known human limits,
I think it's just barely out of reach. Money is something not that many people have, so that's available to only a select few. Adaptability is another issue. One would always thrive in some subjects but fail horribly in others. But Wayne nearly excelled everywhere. The subjects he seemingly failed are ones he seemingly doesn't quite care about. Having an IQ of 200 is twice that of the average person, which is only 100 (obviously). And that's even more rare than the types of Hawking and Einstein, who don't even quite make it to 180. I'd say it was possible if you were slightly genetically enhanced and rich. But it isn't really plausible at all for anyone with average intelligence or income to achieve such a level.
Don't forget PEDs. I'm sure Batman probably has access to several and can even get them with a prescription. And since he is the CEO he doesn't have to worry about random drug tests.
In other words , he is the chosen one or maybe we can call it the chosen human being which has literally everything he needs to be batman ranging from IQ , genetics , wealth and the fate to meet several masters and still being a human .
I think Bouba is considered a rounder word because the letter "B" has curves and Kiki is considered a sharp word because the letter "K" has sharp looking edges.
@Tyler Robbins He said that Bouba was considered to be a round word and Kiki was considered to be a sharp one. However, he didn't state why. I gave a reason.
Your're awesome dude. Your speech is clear and precise, and your awkwardness makes the channel feel comfortable for some reason. Definitely earned yourself a new subscriber my man.
Batman's real superpower is that he managed to keep his identity a secret. I mean, considering batman's reputation, anyone, villain or otherwise, should realize that he has to have a lot of training. They could narrow down his identity by observing him. Tim Drake did it. Did none of the people he trained with get curious about what he was doing?
"Are there things he doesn't know?" Curious, is there anything in the DC Multiverse to suggest that even after becoming Batman, Bruce was/is still learning new skills or seeking teachers?
You never stop learning. This is true even for regular humans. In his fight against the Batman who laughs he had to invent an entirely new martial art to gain the upper hand in the conflict... DURING THE FIGHT!!! He's also incorporated technology like Mr. Freeze's cryo-tech into his arsenal.
The channel we need But not the channel we deserve. Seriously man the quality of the videos you upload is amazing, this has definitely become one of my very favourites :)
That little speech you gave toward the end was a very inspiring lesson you give, Tyler. I don't believe I can be Batman either, but I tell you what - my dream is to be a Martial Arts instructor and start teaching my own fighting style. At present, I'm training in Muay Thai and I have a friend teaching me Judo. I also would like to learn Wushu. I also weightlift and run frequently to keep myself in peak shape. Know there are no shortcuts to glory. There are no quick and easy paths. Only through hard work and discipline can you accomplish skill. It's a long and difficult process - but therein is the test: If you can go the distance, if you can really push onwards and learn from your mistakes, you can become something great. And never forget, no matter how skilled or strong Batman is, no matter how smart or dedicated to the cause he is - he always has had help available. There's obstacles even he couldn't overcome alone. He has Commissioner Gordon. He has the Bat-Family. Hell, he even has the Justice League - a team of Superheroes that count demigods and aliens among their number. Chances are you probably won't have those, but hey, you have friends and family and loved ones. Never forget that.
Yeah I feel you, dude. Muay Thai is my go to. I'm 19. High school graduate. Tryna learn that, Hapkido, BJJ, kickboxing, and Wing Chun. I'm from NYC, so I'm sure there's plenty of places willing to teach.
Would Ken really see him as worthy though? I don't really remember that much from the show but Ken pretty much just wanted peace. Batman just wants vengeance, after all, he is the knight.
Surprisingly, he does know Dim Mak, aka The Touch of Death, much like, Fist of the North Star, an ancient form of martial arts where you strike the vital points of the opponent's body causing paralysis, intense and prolonged pain or death. The same thing, only that it doesn't cause bodily explosions.
As a budding comic book nerd your videos are right up my alley. Not only do you have detailed information on the characters you feature but also you explain their abilities and how they correlate with real life physics (like your video on The Flash). Fantastic job!
I always thought there should be an issue written where he spends some time learning under an expert race-car driver. It takes considerable skill to drive an automobile at fast speeds in an urban setting. This is something that you cannot just learn as you go and not get killed.
Here's a few facts: - Adam West lived in Kimberley, ID - He ate Liver and Onions Every Sun - Know this cause my mom served it - Who can do that today, nevertheless ambidextrous!? - I'm ambidextrous with everything but writing, is that a thing?

@TheImaginaryAxis I've been doing a lot of my own research into the idea of a "realistic" Batman, and I wanted to know what you think about some of my ideas on the subject. I imagine that Bruce Wayne's physical training would be less like that of a Crossfitter on steroids, and more like that of a gymnast. Gymnasts are pound for pound some of the strongest athletes in the world, capable of benching incredibly large weights with little no issue, many having never lifted before. In addition to this ridiculous strength for such a small size, they are incredibly light and highly flexible, capable of performing complex aerial maneuvers and sprinting at high speeds with terrible form. When not practicing gymnastics, he'd have to do a hefty deal of straight aerobic exercises to compensate for the great lack of endurance work in gymnastics. I'm not sure about Kuk Sool Won being what Bruce would've studied. In theory, it's a great idea, but from what I've read about practitioners of the art, quite a few have claimed it's ineffective and the classes are poorly taught. I imagine Bruce would practice and become quite adept at only a few styles that overlap with many different arts, or simply pick the most effective and practical techniques from a multitude of styles, creating something new. My picks would be Krav Maga (gun defense, realistic combat training, intense drills, ect. It is the main form of close quarters combat taught to the Israeli military), Arnis/Kali (melee fighting system dealing with knife defense and other forms of blunt weaponry, teaches equally effective barehanded techniques as the weaponized ones, and is the main style of combat employed by Dick Grayson), Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (Incorporates techniques from judo, aikido, traditional jujitsu, and many others. Teaches effective ground fighting and grappling techniques, and is essential for knowing how to keep yourself on your feet in a brawl), Savate (a kicking art relying on deception, though not quite as powerful as Muay Thai or Karate kicks), and the fundamentals of boxing (straight striking art with incredibly powerful fisticuff techniques). Bruce would never have to master all of that, just become skilled enough to the point where he can mix the most useful or practical techniques to become a well versed fighter, able deal with any close quarter situation. Using fancy footwork and his brilliant tactical mind to keep one person in front of himself at a single time, he should be able to avoid being reduced to a pulp in the middle of a circle of enemies. Coupling these skills with a highly advanced combat suit, possibly made of Carbon Nanotube Fibers (knife proof and highly resistant to common handguns) and D30 padding, he'd be able to tank just about any attack that would leave most mortally wounded or a bloody pulp. I do have more I'd like to elaborate about (the Batsuit, gadgets, ect), but I'm afraid you may never even read this, and this is a long enough post as is. Do get back to me if you're interested.
Ryan Chandler Batman would most likely have a mix of Polyethylene glycol and Silica powder (stab proof oobleck) on his batsuit along with the Carbon Nanotube fibers
Yeah, I definitely thought carbon nanotube fabrics would be incorporated onto the chest, cowl, and thighs for minimal handgun resistance, they'd be coated in a Shear Thickening Fluid to help increase the materials effectiveness. I've been wondering if shoulders should be armored, a shot there would ruin his arm's effectiveness permanently. It may also explain those weird shoulder points he sometimes has. Discreet D30 padding would be put throughout the suit, sculpted almost like muscle. I figured Knife Resistance would actually come from a material called CutTex PRO, something along those lines. I actually believe the "Black Rat" wore this in his suit.
Ryan Chandler First, I hate when people try to think up a realistic Batman. What Batman does is considered possible, but people don't achieve it because of how difficult it is and the amount of time it takes, they don't have the will. Second, if Batman was a multi billionaire, he would have better armor than the cheap alternatives the people in this thread are suggesting. Third, people have been able to master 10 martial arts in 4 months, so the 5 years Tyler is suggesting or the more likely 12 years some Batman writers say is more than enough to master 127.
The Batsuit I conceptualized in those few lines of text is a very bare bones concept, and there's obviously more that could be done to make this suit as efficient as can be. Anti Spall coatings, ceramic plating, shear thickening fluid coatings, sensors linked into a HUD System, what medical equipment to carry, concussive resistant helmet design, carbon nanotube threads (which you claimed are cheap, they are incredibly expensive. As of right now, they can't be mass produced either)... I've actually drawn/written up several designs in the past. I've thought about this often. "Mastering" a martial art isn't remotely as easy as your claiming it is. There's a difference between mastering something, and being able to do something well. Many of the greatest martial art grand-masters or famous martial artists to ever have lived have stated that they still wouldn't consider themselves a master as there is always more training to be done. Then there's the secondary training needed to apply their training into a real world scenario with adrenaline pumping and more vicious opponents. Then, if you want to be really technical, mastering any skill takes around 10,000 hours of hard work. Couple that with all the physical and mental training, that certainly would take far longer than you are suggesting. It's more believable to practice and become adept in a few important styles, then take key techniques from other ones.
Ryan Chandler There is recorded evidence of people mastering 10 in 4 months. I'm not saying everyone can do it, but being Batman isn't for everyone, probably not fpr anyone.
The main thing about this is that esentially any one or a few of these feats is possible, but the level of discipline and dedication needed to achieve this is superhuman.
the reason this man has less subscribers is bcz not everyone understands his intellect and hardwork he puts in his videos. He tells us every fcing detail there is by doing so deep research. Really he's the person you'd wanna take inspiration. You deserve more
Cyborg is probably a better hacker, since he is part robot. Constantine maybe be a better planner, but I'd have to say its dependent on the situation. Lex Luthor is maybe smarter from a certain point of view, debateable since Batman has created technology just as advanced as Lex when need be. Fighting though is arguable. I think Karate Kid might be better, although Batman fought pretty evenly with KK in their fights, and Shiva there hasn't been a truly decisive battle between them. In New 52 Shiva beats him but it was only due to catching him off guard and poisoning him with darts. In Pre-52 Batman beat a mind-controlled Shiva. She still seemed to retain her martial arts abilities, but still not a true fight. WW isn't as skilled as Batman though. He described her as the best melee fighter in the world, but melee includes weaponry and powers. Its essentially taken everything into consideration. WIthout powers even though Wonder Woman has been around longer, she has mostly mastered only Amazonian martial arts, while Batman has mastered like 121 I believe, and created his own. Batman is an anomaly,. Its why he is a far superior martial artists than Ra's Al Ghul, who has been around for centuries.

I am currently teaching myself speed reading so I can read more books. I have increased my short term memory and obtained slight photo graphic memory, and I did that by walking next to busy streets and every 5 minutes or so I would glance to the left and or the right to see my surroundings for an instant try to remember everything I saw in that instant and then look again to make sure I saw what I saw. It has been a road but a damn fun one to increase abilities generally :) While Jacks Training is more practical, I prefer being the Bat because It requires not only physical skill and power but knowledge wisdom and overall brain power. :) Peace good sir!

After doing the 'main' workout (that kills you), 30 minutes for each workout, then up to 2 hours per workout per day, (and already being a highly performing acrobat), the only thing I concluded was that I did not get extremely better at any specific skill, but that by training in all areas of life I was able to recite the entire workout by memory and at any time needed. This was after 27 weeks, and I still continue to live by it, I think that it was the first 'true' thing I memorized and feels like a true accomplishment, sure I am not an expert in any workout yet, but I will never think of screwing in a screw with a hammer anymore, as in, I will forever have SEVERAL workouts at my disposal to fit specific goals I want to accomplish.

well to be motivated to fight crime that young when your psyche is still very naive and you are still developing physiologically and physically, while Bruce managed to master almost every single academic subject in just a few semesters (where in reality it would take years, maybe decades even ), and to master even one martial art, it takes decades .. plus i am not sure if you can be proficient in every martial art where every single one of them requires their own conditioning and also training of their own philosophies. so it sounds VERY impossible to even be Batman But the moral behind it isn't You may not be the world's greatest detective but doesn't mean you shouldn't try and even if you aren't, you still have a chance to better than them or at least you are doing your best

Captain America: ....
...and World's Greatest Detective.
That line actually can’t work because Tony Stark relied on his suit, Batman actually relied on his skills. Plus Captain America can’t say that because he underwent a supersoldier program, meanwhile bruce wayne became a supersoldier by normal human means.
Tony: Oh I get it. Cap! Did Superman said there is a human as a founding member? Because clearly he have a meta human among the rank.
I like how bane did all this in a prison cell.
Not to the same degree
@Aaron Smith Dude Cyborg isnt as smart as Bruce. And The One Above All is Marvel 😂
@Aaron Smith Right, I think you mean the Presence, he is closest thing The One Above All in DC. DC has a bunch of really powerful higher beings.
No offense, Cyborg was a football star in High School before he became Cyborg. He's probably smart but he's not as smart as Bruce. He can hack computers and most technology since he's made up of such advanced tech, but it's more so almost a super power I think than his intelligence. Correct me if I'm wrong.
@Aaron Smith Oh havent really read Cyborg that much, do you know the issues and the series where its stated?
@Aaron Smith where is it stated that bane’s smarter? And what depictions?
Batman is the world's greatest detective and second best in everything else. If he can't beat you in using one thing, he will beat you with another.
You can be the world's sharpest knife but you can't be as useful as a swiss army knife.
Sixx dude that makes perfect sense, you made my day
Huh?
at the same time a swiss army knife is only average in the task that it performs, one should be focused on a single objective and become the best in what they choose.
Tim is considered to be on par with Bruce in terms of detective skill. And it's kinda accepted that he'll surpass him in a few short years.

@@louisekenway3455 it's a good story but I don't like how he's removing various technique batman learned in old continuities like the vibrating palm a technique he clearly knew but this time he just... Walked away because it kills. He went to David Cain to learn how to kill so that he knows not to use those techniques. Doesn't help that his archery teacher was killed before he could learn everything he could.
@@baki484 I agree with what you said and hopefully and it's gonna be a miracle that David Cain would be in the story...
Also Luka Jungo isn't just an archery teacher but he trained Brune and *Anton in Marksmanship from bows to handguns to even rifles and maybe even hunting

They seemed to have changed the disguise teacher who was Authur Mcree initially which in turn skipped Bruce's time in the FBI. I'm also hoping they didn't skip Ted Grant but usually Bruce is 14 when he trains with him and Bruce is 20 in the beginning so I guess they glossed over him.
@@baki484 but Bruce started training young in the comics in issue #1 and it is said that Alfred put him on boxing lessons which I guess is Ted Grant

Batman is very motivated that's why he does all this crazy shit.
At least, that's my theory.
hey logan did you just call me Blob? hahaaa
Bulbs, bobs and boobs are all round, Knives, kinks, creases ("kreases") and cuts(" kuts") are all sharp :)
At least thats how i solved it
"Bouba" is also a lot more rounded phonetically
A GAME THEORY
This dude manages to nail exactly why Batman has been my favorite superhero since I was a kid in the last 2 minutes of this video. Touche!
Batman the most capable human in fiction.
*****
Emotions and mental state only go so far.
Well the benching part is pretty farfetched, but you dont need to bench that much to kick ass
The reason is the pronunciation, bouba sounds like a round word and Kiki sounds like a sharp word.

@TheImaginaryAxis
I've been doing a lot of my own research into the idea of a "realistic" Batman, and I wanted to know what you think about some of my ideas on the subject.
That ending message was so inspiring well done sir
The main thing about this is that esentially any one or a few of these feats is possible, but the level of discipline and dedication needed to achieve this is superhuman.
The amount of research you put into these videos is phenomenal.

OH NO DON'T SAY IT
batman Fuck You
Lmaoooo imagine
Wow this was actually a really good video
Amazing channel, just stumbled upon it and instantly subscribed, you are doing an amazing work. Please do an episode on Tony Stark
You're actually amazing. I'd love to sit and talk with this guy. I think about these things all the time. (And also with no email in the description after the offer I'm kinda disappointed lol I would)

It dawned on me that Green Arrow spent most of his life having fun and a relatively small portion of it shooting arrows -- and he still gets to hang out with Wonder Woman and Superman.
These videos are awesome and reminds me a lot of game theory. Keep up the good work
Give me that IQ, that fortune, and that determination, and I swear on my own grave that I shall become The Dark Knight.
Take it!
no i want it
swear on your parents grave if you really want to be batman
I swear to on my parents grave
Dtonationify IQ and determination are your own issue, you can get there
well to be motivated to fight crime that young when your psyche is still very naive and you are still developing physiologically and physically, while Bruce managed to master almost every single academic subject in just a few semesters (where in reality it would take years, maybe decades even ), and to master even one martial art, it takes decades .. plus i am not sure if you can be proficient in every martial art where every single one of them requires their own conditioning and also training of their own philosophies. so it sounds VERY impossible to even be Batman
But the moral behind it isn't
You may not be the world's greatest detective but doesn't mean you shouldn't try and even if you aren't, you still have a chance to better than them or at least you are doing your best
I love your videos. They are always thought provoking and more importantly inspiring! Thank you.
Now THIS is quality content. I love your videos. you inspire me. Now i think it is time i become the hero the world needs.
but not the one it deserves..

+Aggad he is the vsause of the comics
Nice job, I can't get enough watching your videos.
The best Imaginary Axis video!!
Batman is as strong as 10 men it says it in Batman arkham knight.he has an IQ over 160 he is a master detective and is fluent in many languages.
I'm gonna have to disagree with you on how long his training took, Tyler.
Countless stories such as Year One and even a few you have mentioned like Shaman from Legends of the Dark Knight state that his travels lasted 12 years not 5.
5 when he traveled to learn martial arts
Realistically I don't think anyone could reach Batman's level in less than 20 years
What?
It's possible but only on a physical level.
12 sorta
Commissar Purity I know I am late. But what do you mean by only physical?
I love coming back to this video just to see how amazing batman is, your so great at explaining it dude. Keep up the great work.
