That was the only other one that was even comparable to the original to be honest, and I feel about the same. It's just that it doesn't sound as dated, the midi instruments don't do the original any favors and putting it as 8-bit just lets us respect the melody and harmony as it is without having to even sit and process the instrumentation being really outdated

The only thing I don't like about the song of storms is that it is just screaming, "I should seriously have a second stanza but don't!" How has that not been fixed?

Other than the 8-bit Oracle of seasons version, the other ones aren't good at all. They're just derivative af and lame. I am very disappointed by the music of the other versions, they play the same melody but the rest of the music is so bad. Even the original doesn't sound as good as I thought it did, but the melody and bass are written well enough to where they are still nice to listen to even though the sound effects are really outdated and more sparse than I remembered.
This is just one of those songs where the original is always the best, no matter what.
