No reason now to have the PS3, xenia is the new xbox 360 emulation and it runs a lot of games, time to put ncaa football 14 on PC and start modding!

So I was recently at a GameStop and noticed that the pre owned NCAA games were all under 20$ except for this game, which I noticed was being sold for 70$. That really says something about the value of this game.

im legit going out and getting NCAA 14 in a week because 19 is trash 😂 I have madden 16 tho, and tbh madden 2016 was pretty alright. some of the animations are cheesy, but for the most part it was okay. 100% better than 17, 18, and 19

I been playing NCAA 14 with updated rosters ever since EA stopped making it. Online dynasty with a group of dedicated ppl is the best! I played 7 seasons with Georgia State and turned them into a serious contender after 2 seasons due to the awesome recruiting tool and being able to scout “gems”

I had 13 for years and recently ponied up for 14. I think the gameplay is tighter in all facets. Faster and smoother by a good margin. Recruiting is something I didn't like at first being less in depth but I'm actually digging it now. Doesn't take forever to make stupid phone calls and persuade their interests. All in all it's the best ncaa football.
You must be a child or must not have played the earlier years. 06 is widely regarded as the best ever and played way better than 14. Hell you even had actual FCS schools back then.

Yeah, I preferred the more complicated recruiting as well. Especially in that brief window of time when you could bash other schools to get your point across. Still with the points system recruiting it's easier to actually play your dynasty in a timely manner. And the Coach Powers Ups were great which kinda helped balance it out.

The way I see it is that it’s still a solid game that is very fun and it’s now almost 5 years old
I never played ncaa before but I think for me I would play the game so much that i would get tired of it after about a year or two. I would have to run a different playbook every so often just so it doesn't bore me as quicklu

I have so much nostalgia for this game. I remember when I threw a hail marry. I was playing quarterback in road to glory mode for the stanford cardinal, and I was playing against the Wisconsin badgers...3 seconds left on the clock, I threw the ball and scored a touchdown from my own 30 yard line, and won Stanford's first national title. I've had enough waiting. Unfortunately, my ps3 broke and I'm going to have to buy a new one to play this great series again.
I took over UAB and was horrible. Lost 8 games including one against that cheesy ass Pirate FBS squad. Recruiting was horrible...but I landed a 4 star QB prospect out of San Jose...somehow. I created a backstory in my head it was because he had his heart set on Bama but Nick Saban rejected his dual threat ass. Too gimmicky. So the mighty Kenneth Wilcox picked as close he could be to Saban. Just 45 minutes up the interstate. To show his old ass what he missed out on.
Improvement was immediate. Rushing and short passing got us into a bowl game. Wilcox optioned and slant passed his way to consistent yardage, eating clock with long 14 play smooth drives. The year led to a talented local WR recruit named JJ Jefferson to commit to UAB over Alabama. He had defied Saban. I would be sure he played from day 1.
Next year was sheer dominance in conference play and the sole blemish a snowy game in Minnesota at the end of the year. Strength of schedule was not kind enough to sneak into a major bowl, but an underachieving LSU team awaited.
We were slaughtered. Destroyed. A thrashing. The only bright spot was 2 Jefferson Kick Return TDs. The only TDs we scored all game.
Recruiting was still strong. We feasted on discarded SEC scraps and built a defense with heart. Deadly focused cornerbacks and a hard hitting blitz heavy attack. Constant pressure.
Wilcox and Jefferson exploded in year 4, breaking every school record. Wilcox broke the school rushing and passing record. We took on mighty teams in their house and slayed them. We took down a #1 Ohio St on the road and #3 Auburn at Legion Field. UAB was undefeated and so was Alabama. There was no controversy. These were the two best teams.
UAB came out to a huge 21 point lead in the first quarter. But Saban woild not go quietly, and Bama crawled back to tie things up at halftime. By the fourth, Alabama began to pull away, up 13 with 5 minutes to go. A late Wilcox -Jefferson bomb got us within 6 and we eventually got the ball back with roughly 25 seconds at the 20. No timeouts. Wilcox hit Jefferson quickly to get to the UAB 40 and no huddled to pull off a snap with 4 seconds left. A Four Verticals call.
Wilcox heaved to Jefferson in double coverage....the ball bounced off the helmet of one Bama defender into Jeffersons arms 5 yards ahead. He took off fast as he could....a half step ahead of a desperate dive from the Bama corner. An improbable touchdown. Jubilation. An XP later and UAB became the most unlikely National Champion of all time.

Ncaa running back game play is so fluid. Plus I feel as if I have more control over my linebackers.
Yes!! Total control, you move a guy in a direction and they cut on a dime. EA has made Madden full of animations when you try to cut and the players are slow to react, even at the line of scrimmage, they've just totally taken away pure stick skill. I want to feel I have 100 percent control of players and they act accordingly. NCAA 14 nailed that aspect. I've been a loyal EA fan up until m19 and m20 when it feels more animated than fluid user control.
The NCAA franchise is my all-time favorite, but I am kind of glad these games aren't made anymore. The reason is that because it was the last one I have been able to go deeper on NCAA 14 than any other because there isn't a new game to come out every year. I've just been methodically plowing through. I am now in 2027, year 15, all at Oregon where I'm from. Started with a Sophomore Mariotta and built from there. Won 11 Pac-12 titles and 9 national championships in my first 14 seasons, all on Heisman difficulty. I would have never made it this far if a new game came out every year. While I may take a break from time to time for 6 months or so, I always come back and pick up wherever I left off... It has also been cool to be able to go to Autzen Stadium virtually now that I no longer live in Eugene... The only real downside to me, even more than no Playoff, is that it has become too easy to win. Even with settings a difficult as possible, I routinely blow teams out, even top-5 matchups. I broke the all-time consecutive wins streak (got to 66) and am 190-10 overall..... Anyways, what a great game!
Switch your playbook or stop calling your "go to plays" bro. It made it harder for me. I won 3 national titles with Purdue then realized how easy it was getting and started using random playbooks, along eith making the sliders ridiculously in the CPU favor. Lol my passing accuracy is at 10 and catching at 20 for example. My record now is 256-45 just getting out of year 26. Now I have just 5 national titles lol. Maybe throw some Role Playing in and have some players get suspended for getting in trouble, and sanctioning yourself from getting alot of recruits. Instead of 35, get 25 or 20. I havent played since January of 2018 because I got super burned out from playing it every single day for a year and a half Haha.
The fact you could enter your own music from your console in 2013. Like have different soundtracks play for the stadium music, timeouts, turn overs, and more. That was creative 👌

Still playing NCAA 14 to this day, always on dynasty mode making new players once I start off at a new school and making each of them with their set of strengths and flaws. I always aim for each player to have a story behind them, its makes playing each season non reptitive. As well I Iike to explore creating different playbooks. Overall I am happy with this game and pretty much cool with playing this one and only football game for the rest of my life lol
Just drove 35 miles for this game and paid $70 for a used 360 copy. Yes it's 2019 but it was so worth it!

14 was awful. There’s a reason why EA took several gameplay elements in different directions after NCAA 14/Madden 25.

I wish that the team builder website was still available. That to me was one of the funniest parts, creating your own custom teams
My only complaint is that I couldn’t upgrade my stadium. I made Boston College a 6 star school but my stadium can only hold 44k fans which upset me a lot. I would wish I could make the seating capacity so more and more fans can come. I hope when a new college game comes out I can upgrade stadiums again

Matthew Waterton Nah, that’s always been the rumor since EA stopped making the games. “It’s coming back next year” It’s always BS, people just clickbaiting. EA won’t touch the series again, and unless 2K decides they want to take a shot at it, someone else making an NCAA game just won’t be the same. I’m waiting for this PS3 emulator to improve so I can play NCAA on PC, it’s really getting close to being playable on PC.
Look up Gridiron Champions. It is set to release in 2020 and is a fully customizable game. Definitely the future of CFB games

Recruiting is the reason this and all NCAA football games are continuously playable. The ability to recreate your team on the fly and cycle through classes is so fun. What is the point of going back to Madden 18 if Baker Mayfield is not on the Browns (or whoever your favorite players/teams are)?

NCAA 14 is the best football game made. Period.
I regret trading in my copy of NCAA Football 14. My favorite thing to do in the game was turning a cupcake school like San Jose St. into a national powerhouse, then moving on to another small school and doing the same thing all over again. Dynasty building in pro sports games pales in comparison to the NCAA games.
I use to get up in the middle of the night and jump online, just to get the W. Nothing like going neck and neck and you win on the last drive of the game.
They made it where you can lead the receiver with the left stick it like madden 13. Idk why so many people dont think this game has it but it does

I liked the recruiting in ncaa 13 more. It was fun if you promised players something and if you didn’t hold up they’d leave. 14 kept promises and other features but you couldn’t make any promises.
I came back to this video to address my prior criticisms.
While I do think this game has issues it definitely deserves the love not to mention how it's modded to reflect modern logos.

NCAA's downfall started in 2005 After Electronic Arts tuck over. They no longer had 3A Team's. they started losing money each year because of it fans where pissed. They stopped makeing NCAA Baseball in 2006 . NCAA Baseball 07 would be the last. They continued with NCAA Baskitball 08 released in 2007 that had all of the teams in it oventuly NCAA Baskitball would pull the 3A team's as well. Game Modes for NCAA Baskitball & NCAA Football like Dynasty, Build & Create A Team where pulled . This pissed fans off even more. I'm surprised they lasted until 2013 with the release of NCAA Football 14.
I want to get this game because I picked up madden 12 and 17 for my football fix but they are just not doing the job.
However, this game is 45 dollars at gamestop and people are trying to overprice it everywhere else....

I've only played 12 and I love it. Also Madden 12 is my favorite Madden, and I haven't liked a single Madden 13-19 for MANY reasons. I love importing draft classes too!

NCAA 14 is so damn expensive lol. Does NCAA 13 allow you to download updated rosters? That game is a lot cheaper
dude the fucking passing modifiers and having to pick specific buttons for catches, makes the game so fucking complicated. Yes it's nice to tell a wr to try and keep his feet in bounds on a out route but football games have used one button passing and catching for years and we never had big issues outside of sometimes the player ai made the wrong choice for the context of the play.
It makes the game so inaccessible for some people who don't spend time playing every football game, when you forget to tell them how to play and then they're frustrated and don't want to play anymore.
NCAA Football 06 was the best college football game ever.
