Been playing NCAA 14 for years now. It's still fun to this day. I'd say it's the best NCAA game during the 360/PS3 era. For the PS2/XBOX era I'd recommend NCAA 06. Gameplay is great, dynasty mode is fun to play, and create a team is an option.
This is just my opinion and i understand the majority of people like the same thing:
I refuse to play ncaa 14 because gameplay feels like every madden made after 12, you got players going ragdoll doll mode tripping and falling over players... And standing right back up like nothing happened. Players going ragdoll piling up ontop of eachother looking like they're being tazzered.
I'm literally playing ncaa 12 right now though, like.. it's on my tv as I'm watching this video and typing this out. The recruiting feels like I'm actually interacting with players in 12 too:)

Glad I still own NCAA 14. When played Dynasty mode I had notepads to keep track of all the high school recruits I tried to have commit to my college for each season. The mascot mode was a lot of fun and all different types of offensive and defensive playbooks made the game so much fun.
NCAA 13 is an interception-happy game that can be difficult for no reason sometimes, but it's still the game I prefer the most. 2K14 definitely seems more complete overall though.
Whoever said this was the same as 13 needs their eyes checked. This game Nd 13 are night and day, mainly because of recruiting and gameplay. Both being undeniably better than 13 especially gameplay due to Physics actually being a factor. Large running backs can truck better than small ones regardless of truck rating which makes sense.
Still play this game weekly. 120+ teams in the base game plus teambuilder just gives it so much replayability. I simply cannot get into madden anymore, its too easy.
This game had some great features, playbooks and uniforms. I never liked the running style of the players. Seemed more like sliding on ice than actual running.
I was Obsessed with NCAA 14. I hope for the new one they continue the differential of "talent" at the schools. I want to be rewarded for Stacking my D-Line with "Size" but also feel the gamble of having a sub par Secondary. Challenging thing with this new game will be NIL and Transfers
Great game, I still play it from time to time, only issue is the updated rosters don't work online. Can't play with my bro unless we use the old players.

1:43 NCAA 13 felt like Madden 13 but just with College teams you could tell by the physics and 14 felt like 25 or maybe the other way around since the NCAA games came out month before Madden

This game sells on ebay at its cheapest, $85 to $200+. I don't have it and it's hard to shell out that kind of money.

No way. The BCS System is and Always be the Biggest Joke. The Playoff System, tho still BCS like, is FAR Better. Because Teams outside the P5 Still have a Better Shot at getting in. It’s not perfect, but So much better than a Computer telling us who gets in. 💯

I literally just found this today in the dumpster at work with an Xbox 360 S and like 20+ working 360 games. Several didn't work, but the NCAA 14 did and I'll hold onto it

Just a heads up... if you're playing dynasty dont skip the end of the game highlights until the announcers finish talking. Otherwise it will usually freeze

@@jgeorge2693 Presentation, the reports with Erin Andrew's and Kirk Herbstreit when you pick a college or have a very good game (to name a few) were pretty cool. Other things to do like Practice and picking an evening event (which can temporarily give you a boost to some stats or make them worse). I also found it too tempting to make your player ridiculously good in NCAA '14, which you really cant in '11.
Overall I'd say there's more life to NCAA '11 RTG than NCAA '12 through '14.

@@upaviation787 sure except for nonsense pursuit angles on defense, sim engine being broken, terrible animations, gameplay glitches, paper thin dynasty/RTG modes, unenthusiastic commentary, poor framerate, lag after selecting plays, and not enough differentiation between team overalls. They didn’t want to offend anyone so the worst teams are like 70 ovr. Makes no sense.
My personal favorite is NCAA 08 on original Xbox, but 14 was great. Funny how EA wasn't the bad guy this one time, yet they still had to cancel the series 😂

Ncaa 08 on Xbox ps2 was broken. The defense always took bad angles. Hb toss with any player with a 96 speed or better was an automatic touchdown
ea absolutely is the bad guy. Instead of doing a little more work and taking a little extra time to make sure nothing could be tied to real life schools or players, they just shit it down.
Remember uploading your draft classes directly into Madden? The same dude you recruited every week as a HS Senior gets to retire as a 35 year old on your Madden team. Plus it allowed flexibility into Madden players like 6'4 athletes you made a CB or picking what side of the ball an athlete should play on. I really miss this.
yeah my only issue with the transferring to Madden was how terrible your player model looked

Mannn I loved winning the SEC with Vanderbilt, the game was a legitimate challenge, when you were a crappy school and you were playing a top ranked team you felt it. Crowd noise impacting inexperienced QBs, just to name a few off the top of my head. And yes, Dynasty mode is absolutely unreal.
NCAA 13 wasn’t bad, it just didn’t have the feature to import draft classes.
The NCAAs on PS2 you’ll REALLY enjoy. It’s a toss up on what you’ll like more between NCAA 14 and PS2 NCAA
I think the PS2 ones are a little better, but NCAA 14 is a solid game too
Both NCAA Football 14 and WWE 2K 14 were some of the best games I ever spent my allowance on.
2k14 was the last great WWE game definitely top 5 WWE game imo
One of my favorite features was that NCAA 13 would occasionally crash right after a game finished but before any saving took place. 14 fixed this. :)
Nice mention on the teambuilder aspect SDS. It was such a hit. EA hasn’t had as much creative ability for users since NCAA Football 14.

I don't play games to get angry, I play games to have fun, and NCAA 14 was beyond fun. One of two reasons I keep the Xbox 360 is this very game. Massively disappointed that we are STILL waiting for a new version.

Well college football 25 game looks good but it's only going to be on the new Xbox series x and PS5 only like why would you want to spend 320$ dollars just upgrade to the new Xbox series x just to play college football 25 when you spend about 180$ dollars just to get a PS3 and NCAA football 14 instead and it's a lot cheaper to that.😊

I feel like if EA still was making NCAA to this day they would’ve ruined it like Madden. Glad they left us with one of the best games ever made.
I think NCAA 06 is the only other college football game that comes close to being as good as 14. I liked the way you had to deal with suspensions and if you had contracts off you could be invited to new conferences without you yourself putting your team in a better conference. I think 14 was a little bit better because of its presentation, recruiting, and simply better gameplay though.
2k actually made a college football game with all 130 college schools back in 2002. It was actually not that bad and it had modes that the EA college football games didn't had like a playoff mode. Sadly, they only made them for 2 years and probably did it to focus on their NFL games when they made them. NCAA Football 2k3 still brings me joy and I still play it on my PS2 Emulator.

When Dean Smith died and willed all his former players money the ncaa said that would be a violation because the players would be compensated for their work and to find out once a player signs their letter of intent they lose any future compensation even after their playing days are done strengthens Ed O'Bannon case.

I HIGHLY recommend NCAA 06 and NCAA 11 on PS2. Both are the best college football games I have played (imo better than NCAA 14 just for it's gameplay and allowing for players create signs, schools, rosters, etc in-game). The gameplay is easy to learn but hard to master. And it's difficult to win with an "Academic" create-a-school. Its so fun to create a school like Pacific or Marquette (who disbanded their college football programs) and struggle and recruit players in season recruiting and off-season recruiting. The only flaw imo would be that its somewhat easy to instantly recruit 4 and 5 stars, even with a one-prestige school, like a create-a-school. But both are fantastic games. #BringBackNCAAFootball
Everything u mentioned far as creating school etc is 10x better on ncaa 14 u can do all that on the 360 and PS3 version

Same think game will still be fun but only thing different will be you can’t update rosters unless you manually do it which take forever to do 130 teams. But besides the roster and logos (which not to upset because it looks like they made logos similar to the real ones) the game looks exciting and in the future could obtain a NCAA license

One of the things I loved the most was that you could just be a defensive coordinator or offensive coordinator and get hired as a head coach, it just made it more immersive

11:35 while MyLeague is arguably the best current “franchise” mode of any sports game, as a diehard nba fan and avid myleague player it kinda sucks. so many bugs, missing features, and the sim is beyond unrealistic after one season

NCAA Football '14, hell, the entire series, was a masterpiece. Hard to fathom EA did such an awesome job with NCAA while taking a crap on Madden.
Although it was a loss to we gamers, I 1000% support the lawsuit that brought down the NCAA and EA exploiting college players shamelessly. They have made millions upon millions off the backs of college students while giving them nothing.
At least maximum football coming out and the more we support the game it'll get better before next gen comes out
As much as I love this game and i want them to make another one more than almost anything, I can't help but come to the realization that if they make a new NCAA, it will be just as watered down and glitchy as Madden. Honestly maybe even more so since the development would be split. I think if they could crunch down on development and get a good RTG or Dynasty mode, I could see it beneficial if Madden and NCAA were somehow combined into one game. Imagine starting out as an OC for an FCS school, then making your way up to a national championship winning FBS school. Then you start getting attention from NFL teams and you go coach for them. Then you could possibly be reunited with players you coached on your past college teams.

I just finished off a season over the weekend. Yea, a whole season. Its 5 years on and I still binge in this game regularly. Lol
I absolutely love how the NCAA 14 community is keeping this game alive. With that said I have to make a shoutout to NCAA college football 11. I have the fondest memories playing this game. This was the first year for online dynasty and I remember joining a league with 8 to 10 players on PSN. I was HOOKED. Everyone had their own conference, and there would be multiple live user match ups scheduled throughout the year these games could make or break your season and were so intense. The game difficulty was set to Heisman if I remember correctly and the game sliders were tweaked very well. This allowed for CPU matches to be very challenging but not too frustrating. You couldn't just go through the motions and had to focus on your match ups. We had a league Commissioner that was in control of the advancing the weeks through the season. You also had the option to sim the week vs. a CPU team and sim recruiting if you so desired. We had a set schedule through out the week and you had so many days to play your games and execute your recruiting pitches to high school players. Landing that 5 star recruit that everyone else is trying to get was so satisfying. I was even recruiting from my lap top during the times I wasn't home. My biggest regret is that I never captured game footage of any of this. It was the best online experienced I ever had with a sports game. I stopped playing college football games after 2012 and I have never experienced 14. Maybe one day I'll be able to get my hands on a copy.

Edit: If you look up RPCS3, a ps3 emulator for pc, the game can be run in 4k and looks amazing so actually nevermind. You just need a super powerful computer to play it that way
