I wanted to make this video firstly to have a 4k version of the first Lore Accurate video, but also I wanted to explain my point of view a little better and also add some stuff for context (like the first game clips). Some of those ideas i got from people who commented at my video, so thank you very much for that. Hope you guys like this one!
Hope you guys like this little update on the first video. I'm working on the "How Lore Accurate Spider-Man Really Fights" video but I want to use the new game + feature that will probably come out this month. Meanwhile i have 1 or 2 projects that i want to post before that. Stay tuned!
I really like how well you depict Spider-Man over the years but one thing I would change is he seems more narcissistic with the symbiote I feel like at the beginning he would be going only for style

1:will you ever make a video of other peoples head cannons from the comments section or replies? (Kinda like how i said that peter swings and tricks less and less when wearing the symbiote that i mentioned in the first video or other people mentioning peters tricks)
2: will you ever do a video of miles
Btw one thing you should know about is that there is an option in settings to make the web swinging more “realistic,” (more dynamic with surrounds, less accurate, can die when hit ground, and “pulls” wherever you attach to) in Spider-Man 2. You should check it out!
Symbiote Spider-Man angrily whipping past your car at like 200 mph randomly in the night seems like it would be terrifying.
Just hope that wherever he's going, that it's not anywhere near you and/or your destination

😂😂😂😂😂exactly,especially since you’ve only known it to be a red and blue costumed freak moving like that,now to see a black blur,and blur because he’s definitely moving too fast in the shadows for you to properly catch it,much more angry and violent version than normal,he should basically have the Batman fear factor with the Spider-Man powers,insane.
Okay , heres my head canon. Peter doesnt do many air tricks at first , but then he meets miles 8-9 years into his spidey career , and miles is much more focused on expression . So peter gets a bit more expressive as prime spider man because as he was mentoring miles , he was learning a few things himself

My only problem with that is he started at 15. What 15 year old isn't going to be doing constant tricks while free falling?

I love how you added the fact that Peter created the web wings early on and they didn’t work because in the backpack collectables you can find his old broken web wings
The first amazing spider-man 1 (1963) he had web wings. I’m really surprised they didnt put them in the first game
My guess is Insomniac were getting their footing to perfect his base web swinging first then planned to add to his moveset in future, since they had at least 3 games confirmed and put the backpack as an easter egg/feature for future mechanics.@@codycurry91

Oh I get why the pendulum equations is important now. It’s to help him gauge where he should aim his webs depending on how he wants to swing.
For example, If Pete is trying to continue swinging but is about to hit the ground, he’ll shoot his web in a way so that he’s already at the lowest point of his swing and avoid hurting himself.
I’m sure there’s more ways the pendulum example applies to his swinging in general, but when thinking about it I feel avoiding collision with obstacles is the main reason.
You dont need equations for that. Your gut is gonna tell you what to do, like any sport
@@mantchova yeah I know that, but knowing how swinging works in numbers is probably how Peter got the hang of web swinging until he could do it like it was second nature.
You may not need equations, but they help you understand stuff like web swinging better. Especially when it’s going to be the primary way that Spidey gets around New York.

PETER can do it as naturally as breathing, but at the time the DLC takes place, Miles hadn't so much as even FIRED a webshooter before, so Peter was going to make SURE he had the THEORY down before he even THOUGHT of making that kid jump from a high-rise. The equations were more to teach Miles the fundamentals without risk of hurting himself.
Peter probably slammed into the ground or walls hundreds of times while he was getting used to swinging for the first time, and DEFINITELY didn't want Miles to have to explain those bruises to Rio like Peter had to explain them to May.
Early years felt pretty on point. If memory serves, in the early issues he was portrayed traversing using climbing and gymnastics-like movements as much - if not more than - he was portrayed swinging.
i think it would be neat if they added a few alternate animations for certain actions in the next game, it would be fun to see different ways peter and miles could web swing and fight and stuff, it would also make these videos way cooler
I would love an alternate animations or some kind of additional animations for the players who had the web swing assist enabled. Something like Peter/Miles climbing up their web automatically when swinging too low on the ground while web swing assist is on would kinda justify the automatic hover above the ground. (and having to climb up the web manually for web swing assist disabled).
Yeah like imagine being able to equip any animation u want for you combat and web swinging. Like sports games (nba2k)

Under the assumption that you have read Amazing Fantasy 15, I highly recommend you read the original 100 issues of ASM and every time Peter web swings in the MCU.
MCU isn't very lore accurate though.
@@Hellyeahray21you’d be surprised how accurate it is though, like how Peter looks up to a famous hero (the original run had Johnny Storm, and the mcu had Iron Man), both runs had a playful atmosphere till the end of graduation, both didn’t focus on uncle Ben much of barely.

Love it man! Going on to the slightest details about the gliding and peter always going down, not up. I love it! Making it what this game should have been more like too and shows its flaws even more. You make this game look so much better than what i see people make it look like at times.

An actual lore accurate version would do more air tricks as Spider-Man relies more upon his spider sense and his knowledge of his environment as opposed to just physics calculations. Does anyone run calculations as they drive or does driving become easier with experience?
Well obviously but he still ran those calculations when he first started out.
2+2 is like muscle memory to us now but at some point you had to figure that out
Well true but I think in this case Peter was more so trying to make sure he didn't make miles become a stain on the pavement lol 😅

I second this. I would personally love to see peter go from being more timid, keeping his distance frequently and abuseing his web shooters as opposed to getting close, to interweaving a combination of both. Really hoping aswell a video is done on combat progression, fingers crossed 🤞
onee thing about the suits that i like to play with in my head canon is that The first 2 suits are as you said, but the 3rd one is the one with the darker shade of blue, then he obviously gets his advanced suit 1 and 2 and then symbiote but after the symbiote he rocks the black and red version of the advanced suit. anyways thats just me. i'm glad you included the tech in his swinging a lot
People who use the building turn web swing are missing out on the amazing feeling of a well placed web line letting you curve round a building beautifully. Best feeling ever.

Whats funny is that in the span of like 3 weeks in the Miles Moralas game, Miles went from trash at using his powers to stopping NYC from being destroyed
Something worth mentioning could be that as Peter became more experienced as Spider-Man, he would develop a more sustainable web fluid that would last longer. You could possibly incorporate less reliance on webs as a younger Peter to show how he’d do his best to conserve his webbing.
This video was honestly really good, the referencing as well as the time taken to record the different clips of swinging styles etc. top-notch content overall right here.
Ya know what a great addition would be, should you wish to make a part 3? A dedicated segment to his revenge spree i.e. the night he lost Uncle Ben. Cuz then it provides an opportunity to mix up the initial aggressive recklessness he likely had due to all the rage he was feeling. It's such a crucial piece of lore for his growth too, and that growth is greatly expressed even in the way he swings. Unlike the symbiote suit where he was focused on efficiency, here his mind so clouded by anger he constantly bumped into every thing, in breakneck speeds, which only made him madder to find the thug.
This is legit how i played spiderman 1 bruh i just kept making story lines with all the different spiderman suits

I'm an animator and I'm working on a short Spiderman series for his Origin based off the comics and these past few videos are super inspiring fr
now imagine if it was so much more difficult to master, with webs wrapping around geometry, having to press certain buttons to make Peter wall run, climb webs and having the ability to run on the ground or wall while swinging!
They want many casual people to buy the game which would be upset they can't get the hang of it. Like it or not casuals is why these games have such massive budgets and insane work.
Peter always loves doing tricks, everyone knows of his fine acrobatics but to say lore means you actually have to know how to websling in the game , you can only go fast because the creators didnt want ppl to complain since no one can figure out how to actually websling especially from the first game but than you have most ppl claiming they are so mathematically inclined , if you don't know how to websling in the first game than you can never really master the other games but you can have tons of fun though

Side note : I suggest you implement realistic swinging directions if you do this series again. It's kinda weird seeing the left hand web up a building that's also on the left only for you to push the thumbstick to the right to avoid collision. It was fun though, don't get me wrong. I subbed

😅 The video was great. The only problem is he didn’t use the Web wings enough and every time he use them he made them look bad by diving to the ground and switching back to swinging which makes the web wings look like they can only travel short distances. Next time he should fly longer distances for people that don’t Know the game can actually see what is capable. 😔

Can’t believe I’m saying this but i actually somewhat agree with ign to a degree. As fans we speculate, which is fun, but then we get butt hurt when our own perceived “expectations” make things worse for ourselves. RDJ being back is great, but under the circumstances on both sides (marvel with their lackluster moves/shows and fan expectations) is what’s souring things. I’m hopeful tho, personally for once I’m just gonna sick back and enjoy the ride, no speculation, no expectation, just sit back and have some fun

The 3DMG system there gives u manual swinging around buildings and trees. It would be an awesome concept if the playrr got better with web swinging as they go through the game.
In the game the characters have steam that can help them zoom faster as they grapple their 3DMG to something. Without the steam,they just grapple on to something and move pretty slowly. I was thinking of early spiderman moving around with something similar but without "steam". Maybe when the player gets good at manually swinging around, they can unlock someyhing similar to "steam" that fxns as a speed boost. Then the mastery for swinging would be up to the player.
I would personally love being able to swing manually, but players who don't shoyld be able to opt out of manual swinging.

Fr lol. Spider-Man in reality would most likely just parkour and jump around on buildings to get around. Which would still be cool since he can jump high and run fast.
for more realness i would have turned the realistic swinging on in the settings, makes it so much harder to do web swings or any kind of swinging move due to the realism

Idk if im tripping but I much prefer the swing speed in the first game and miles, everything just makes sense in it from a physics standpoint, in spiderman 2 everything just goes so fast and looks completely off to how peter is actually impulsing himself
In reality I feel like the swing speed in spiderman only really feels possible if he used the symbiote
I'd love to see this same style translated to Peter's evolution of combat and gadget use

This is really cool one thing I would add is that for the early stages of his career I would use miles and use the suit that Peter gave him cuz that’s his cannon first suit and miles swinging is more inexperienced than peters

So the first 3d Spiderman game from back on 2000 got is accurate.
He has limited web fluid, only swings when he cannot traverse on foot, relies a lot on crawling around, is a lot more stealthier, and makes a lot of mistakes.

I honestly think a fresh Spider-Man wouldn't swing much at all, he'd much rather take tall leaps between buildings, only swinging once when he really needs to
So I’ve recently been playing all 3 of the Spider-Man games and starting to put loads of things together now as I finished them in reverse order (sm2-miles morales-Sm ps4)
First try considering the laws of physics ans following a SINGLE GODDAMN RACING LINE

I’m not attacking anyone when I say this, but can we get a physics accurate web swinging video someday? Ever since the first game, the web swinging videos I’ve seen always have the player shooting a web hard left, but they make spidey swing to the right, or in a perfectly straight line.
With a bob, thrown through the air, having a string shoot out of it and latch to something would cause its direction to alter. It would not continue to go perfectly straight. It’s so goofy looking when people swing like that, he is literally falling through the air- shoots a web to his left and you can see how hard the angle of the web line is too- and they swing the character to the opposite direction 🤦♂️ I just can’t.
It’s a nitpick, I know, I’m just stating it- no need for a full blown discussion or argument because I promise you I don’t care to do battle with anyone in a comment section.
I’m not a child like most of the internet.
