Hi great informative vid, just a quick question please!! Does your high beam light still work on the dash?? I did a slightly different conversion to my grom just by adding two led spotlights, I had to chang the power from dc to ac by taking a live straight to the from and btpassing the regulator, but in doing so I managed to lose the high beam indicator on my dash! A long shot but thought it was worth asking👍
I’m looking for the wire harness for it? I can’t seem to find it anywhere (I have a Yamaha R6 streetfighter) with the white 6 prong interceptor that connected the old headlight, help would be amazing! ❤️
I was told you can ground all your negatives and splice into the high and low beam wire depending on what you want to go where. No need for fuse or relay since the bike has them already.
Hey buddy, I have the same light but on a suzuki gladius. I currently have it wired up to both high and dip beam feeds so all lights are always on. I need to have the dip beam working I order to pass my MOT(annual vehicle test in UK) what relay did you use to power the bottom two lights from the brake light. Thanks
It’s just a basic relay, from the sound of it, it sounds like you just need to adjust/fix some wiring. Hopefully this helps, if not just message me on Instagram 👌🏻
@@GromGarage It's like a drag cruiser. Yamaha VStar 950... All black but it has the ugly ass round headlight, although it's a L.E.D, I like the look of what you have on the Grom and have been trying to find something similar for a while.
OK… I ended up taking a 12 V ignition wire and running it into the switch for low beam and high beam. That way when you do switch it to highbeam it creates the connection and then just re-route whatever wire gets power to the one highbeam. Hopefully this makes sense
Hey man any help would be appreciated. I have a 2020 Grom. I laid it down yesterday going around a turn. Nothing seems to be hurt but my headlight won’t come on. Any idea what happened and how to fix it?
I checked all the connections. Nothing is pinched or unplugged. Neither high or low beam work. I wasn’t sure if there is a relay or fuse that controls the headlights? The 4 fuses under the seat are all good tho.
I’ve got a video on it a long time ago while I was installing a led headlight on my og grom. You’ll have to search the channel for it since it was one of the first videos I ever made
@@GromGarage If thats the case mine is probably different cause its an aftermarket tail light then. Besides that, all the other info was good. Which wire did you tap into for high beam?
Not trying to be a negative viewer but this kit isn’t perfect. THRRE IS A FITMENT ISSUE. I’ve purchased both the TRS one and the “copy”. The TRS has bigger hole on the top to allow it to line up correctly. The amazon version doesn’t allow correct fitment. If you need a better explanation just tag me before you buy it

Correct. You just need the led lights, the bracket that holds the lights and wiring

So you need the OG bracket to install the lights on the first gen... But you also need the first gen adaptor bracket for the second gen as well?
No, first gen groms will work, second gen groms need the bracket from the first gen…
If you have a first gen then you shouldn’t have to worry about it

Will it fit Gromm 22 and 23 ?

You just have to make sure you do the AC to DC conversion.

The two bottom lights are always on and the top is my high beam

All I see are bad reviews on Amazon about the leds not working. Is there a way to replace them whit good quality leds?
As long as the width is the exact same I don't see why not. My friend put expensive ass ones in it and it's just as bright as mine

SF is the newer fairing style, 2015 is the OG. Since it has the single headlight.

You're going to need a low mount exhaust with a subcage. Or find a subcage that works with a high mount exhaust

I would double check all the connections. Make sure nothing got ripped or pulled

Wrong trigger wire color. This dude got me stuck for 2 days thinking it was the black wire thats 12v trigger. Its actually the white one.
