Thanks for the top dead center thing. Finally got around to the valve adjustment and never knew about TDC seeing as this is the first Bike I've worked on. I was totally opposite of TDC when I first did it lol... You can imagine the sound.

Your videos for season are a lot better than season one. Why didn't charge out the oil spinner and do the oil filter mod?

Much better to watch you do the mods. First season was not as good.
Having that straight up pump in there before you break in the top end can clog the pump. The opening on the straight up pump is smaller than the oem pump and will clog easily with metal shavings

Marines 😉 bought it off a guy in Hawaii not sure where he got it or if he made it saw it on a Facebook group post for Honda Groms. Haven’t seen one since. Someone should make em though if you’re listening machine shop people!

Bro I adjusted my valve's and everything was fine until about 2 hours into my ride, a noticable tick developed and then my rpms refused to drop, it would get stuck at 3k rpm and wouldn't drop or normalize unless I bogged the motor out a bit. Still currently trying to figure out why this is happening

Q: wouldn't it add more power to install a larger piston and jug? so why not size up while tearing it apart?
Already did it last season of STOCK2NOT. There are a lot of supporting mods required you can’t just slap a big jug and piston and call it a day.

I did this to my 2018 grom an now it haves issues with low rpm an some ticking. Can you please help me out . I used .004 intake an .007 exhaust an the ideal is low an power ain’t there till the motor gets warm . What should I do ?
0.10 intake and 0.17 exhaust with + or _ 2 either way

I'm not master tech but it's the same as a new bike, you get conflicting reports but I always ride it as I ride normally avoid wide-open throttle until the first service which is 500 miles.

ok so if I changed the piston and rings and after I did this it smoked real bad from the exhaust what would possibly be the issue?
Did you change the jug too? Oil is getting through so oil rings weren't installed properly with the gaps or there were grooves in your jug.
@@Photogromer jug was replaced also. And I checked the spacing on the rings and they seemed to be in spec.
@@rhodesoflife could be a bent valve on the head. Check the gap on the valve on the exhaust (bottom) valve. .007 is spec

There is two ways the timing chain wheel go s
I can't get the timing chain back on help
Loosen the bolt that looks like a drain plug bolt about halfway under the motor. That puts tension on the timing chain, it’ll loose. It so you can get it back on the sprocket
So after I do the airbox mod I reset the ecu right?
I would. It's literally 2 minutes of work and lets your ECU relearn the changes.

it should come flashed from DH Motoring I believe, but check with them.
