  • We got this and it wouldn't even try to start, turned out it needed nothing more than new fuel and a carb adjustment, here we show what a carb adjustment on a blower looks like

    Good video Bill. Equipment like this blower are usually so easy to repair. It's too bad that many people consider them to be disposable. It's often just a minor fuel problem.

      Right? This one didn't need any parts, just new fuel and little attention on the carb. Problem is not enough people know how, they need to watch my videos🤣

    From he HIPA carbs I have bought, frequently 1 tool comes as part of the kit. I seem to have the common ones. The complete set is a future goal.

      I am not a HIPA person, I am quick to replace 2 stroke carbs and I had a few failures with them. The whole set of 5 can be had pretty cheap on Amazon, well under $10. I think I paid $6 for mine.

      @@GuysPlayingWithTools Thank you! Everything was fine until I mixed new fuel, not sure if I put too little oil or too much it runs rough now though and when i pin the throttle it accelerates but then decelerates when fully pinned.

    • @GuysPlayingWithTools
      @GuysPlayingWithTools  หลายเดือนก่อน

      @kingcountyband I will dig around for the carb in the morning but in the mean time, put a new spark plug in and fill up your car's gas tank, then empty your 2 stroke tank into it, assuming it's a 1 gallon tank. I do it all the time in my Civic. Remix a new tank so you know it's right and give it a run. I am hoping you didn't go too light on the oil, that could be the end for the machine (too heavy is no big deal)

      If it is to the point where it starts, I go from there and adjust the L screw for idle, then the H screw until it revs correctly.
      If it won't start, I turn them both in all the way(clockwise) then out 1 turn each and adjust the L screw until it starts and go from there. I appreciate you following me! 😁

      @@debfassbinder9283 I like Husqvarna more than Bolen but for a cheap blower, they are good enough to handle just about anything a homeowner would need. 👍
      When buying used equipment that doesn't run I always put a little starter fluid in to make sure they try to start, it doesn't have to run long, if it kicks and tries to start, it's usually save-able.
