    I have a Echo PB-250 and a Stihl BG 56C
    I absolutely love the performance of the Stihl it's a very powerful reliable uses very little fuel. I take great care and maintain my equipment. I love watching videos on how to adjust and maintain my equipment it saves me money and not taking my equipment to a shop. Thank you for your help.

    Oh man. I need to adjust my bg86. Mines boggy on initial throttle pull. Thanks for explaining and demonstrating what the low and high adjusters do. Awesome video.

    If yours runs extremely poorly already, I seriously doubt a simple 'adjustment' is your fix. You likely either need a tune-up, new fuel filter, new carburetor, or new engine (depending on its age and hours

      Yeah it's pretty decent for a hand blower. I like to run Echo power blend oil the carbon buildup is almost very little.

    What about the LA adjustment. I turned that and the low adjustment, and I don’t know how to get it perfect. High adjustment is normal, but it floods when I try to start it, and it runs terrible.

    • @HorsepowerHouse20

      if it has always run poorly, you have bigger issues than some "adjustment". Sorry, bud.

      I saw many specialty screwdrivers for these carburetors. Unfortunately, I could not find the exact tool you speak of. I found some that were CLOSE, but not quite. 🤷

      I’m having the same problem trying to find the tool to adjust these L & H Carburetor screws on a HS56 hedge trimmer.
      Mine also isn’t a Philips or flat head screw slot, I need something like a socket. Not sure if hex or what size. Feel like stihl have purposely made it difficult to perform a simple carb adjustment.

    Thanks, but I just replaced mine with new carb and I can't get it started. It was running poorly prior. What are the initial screw settings so that I can get it to run? I obviously can't warm it up to set the jets if it won't start to begin with.

    • @HorsepowerHouse20

      Did you check compression of the cylinder? These tiny engines don't live forever.

    • @HorsepowerHouse20
      @HorsepowerHouse20  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Need compression and vibrant spark. So, check both of those. If yours is older though, it might be time to move on to a new one. They don't last forever.

    • @blenderbenderguy
      @blenderbenderguy 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@HorsepowerHouse20 Had compression and spark prior to changing out carb. It started but ran funky and I figured a carb change might be a cheap quick fix.

    • @HorsepowerHouse20
      @HorsepowerHouse20  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @blenderbender The "starting to run funky" could be the motor is done, or spark plug, or coil, or plug wire, defective kill-switch, could be any number of things. Did you CHECK for compression and spark? My guess is no. These things rarely give warning. They just go when they decide to. Like I said, these little engines don't last forever. If it has alot of time on it - it's probably done.

    I bought a BG56 May 2024 and has a hex adjustment so purchased the 12 piece carb adjustment screwdriver set from Amazon and the 4M Hex that comes with that set will not work. The 4M Hex is correct as I referenced it with an 4M Alan wrench. You cannot purchase the wrench through Stihl so Im ordering a 6M deep socket from Amazon and will gring the wall thin to see if that fits.

    • @aceallenk
      @aceallenk 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I just found the Pac Man screwdrive works from the Amazon set. Its not the right screwdrive but it works. The 4M hex doesn't work, nor does the splined or the star screwdrivers. But the larger PacMan screwdriver will work.
