I'm Jason, a full-time British Travel Vlogger and TH-camr who's been to 55 countries. I've been travelling around the world full-time since 2017. So far, my trips have taken me to Asia, Africa, Europe, the Middle East and the Americas.
I have travel series' from many of the world's best (and least) known destinations. I filmed the first vlogs on my channel in the summer of 2016 after spending a year living in China. A proper solo trip around Eastern Europe followed after graduating from University in the summer of 2017, taking me to Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, North Macedonia and Kosovo. This trip marked the start of my efforts to make a TH-cam full-time job.
After that European trip I went heavily into exploring Asia, visiting India, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Pakistan, the Philippines, South Korea and Kazakhstan (seeing me cover a lot of Far East and Southeast Asia in particular).
I have also travelled to North Africa and the Middle East fairly extensively over the last five years, filming videos in Turkey, Algeria, Tunisia, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Iraq, Jordan, Israel and Palestine.
To date, I have not yet been to Australasia or South America. Though I am hoping to visit the latter sometime in 2022, along with a first stop in the Caribbean.
I've travelled to North America just once as a TH-camr, visiting Mexico in 2021. Though I have been to both the USA and Canada, this was as a child on family holidays.
So far in 2022 I've taken my first trip to Sub Saharan Africa, visiting both Kenya and Tanzania, before making my way to the Middle East, stopping in Dubai and Lebanon. Europe followed, starting with Cyprus, covering both the Greek and Turkish sides of the divided island.

9:35. This is not true: “Turkish Cypriots are descendants of those Turks who “conquered” North Cyprus in 1971. The Turks lived there since the Ottoman Empire time. The Greeks lived there since Byzantine time. Turkish Cypriots lived in the Island long before 1971. Yes, some came from Turkey after 1971, not a lot. Those caused trouble and many were sent back. Turkish Cypriots told me that. They themselves were not happy with that trying to bring more people from Turkey that time. As you obviously know there was a terrible situation in Cyprus before 1971. So many Turkish Cypriots were killed. The innocent civilians. It was like a genocide and that was stopped in 1971. I know the true stories from local Turkish Cypriots who witnessed that nightmare and who were lucky to survive. There are plenty of documentary showing the truth but you didn’t take a trouble to learn any of that.

Saw almost none of these places and I've gone around the island a number of times with a motorbike.
For anyone there with a motorbike or car, I suggest the road to the very northeastern tip of the island. There are two islands off the coast, the only I've ever seen in Cyprus, and a lot of interesting things to see on the way, including the Cyprus donkey(the wild animal, not the humans). About 8 years ago the road was in excellent condition until about 2km from the point, after which it was gravel. There was a lot of construction of new houses in the area, so I'm sure it's paved the whole way these days.

      It's not called "borders"
      It's a buffer zone.
      A cease fire line.
You do realize that the North is Illegally occupied by Turkish military force right?
Whenever you go there, the Republic of Cyprus cannot protect you.

Turkiye helps much more than EU which helps to south cyprus .in south nicosia they also have ghettos where some parts are not developed aswell. Westerns have this negative image on turks brainwashed since childhood that they think if you are muslim or turkish you are poor backward and not developed nation .they have no idea how strong turkiye is. also they always try ro put Turkiye same shoes as arap nations. Firstly Turks arent arapa !secondly Turkiye and north Cyprus is secular country.and people live their lives how they want believe or not believe religion and dress how they want . This happened 100 years ago thanks to ATATURK♥️

The passport control in the south is CYPRIOT, it is conducted by the authorities of the Republic of Cyprus and Greece has no involvement in it, so it is not Greek as you named it...enough with this casual and lazy misconception that Cyprus is divided by Greece and Turkey. The north is OCCUPIED TERRITORY OF THE REPUBLIC OF CYPRUS and the south is THE REPUBLIC OF CYPRUS (AKA INDEPENDENT COUNTRY).
Also, border crossings from the north to south were still possible even after the capture of the north by Turkey. However, the opposite became possible only in 2003 because up to that point Turkey opposed it.

This was so fascinating to watch. I grew up in the south of Cyprus in the late 80s and all of 90s. It was totally impossible then to just "stroll" through the border as you just did. The divide is clearly more than just geographical. I'm now living in Australia and have only been back once (2019) since I left more than 20yrs ago. Apart from a few additions and minor changes, Nicosia to me looked largely the same as it had back in the 80s, and as you've shown, the 70s, too. Progress is undeniable for both sides, because that is an inevitable part of human existence. At the end of the day, we all want the same thing: to prosper in life. I feel that future generations will be the ones to move Cyprus into a new direction of unification, progress and peace.
One thing I wanted to point out, especially about the people of Cyprus as a whole (illustrated by the younger population), that it is such a warm, friendly and safe place in which to live. Thanks so much for sharing!!

Let's accept that there is no state in the north, it is a region under Turkish occupation. That's why the flag of the fake state and the occupying state are waving side by side. So why in the south too? Why is there a Greek flag everywhere in the south? Which independent country has another country's flag everywhere? In reality, there is no such place as the Republic of Cyprus. At most, it is the Greek Republic of Cyprus

@@phk1959 I don't think it's your fault, but your knowledge is seriously lacking. A movie (documentary) from 1974 is in the link below. What will you see in the documentary at this link, which was filmed at the time of the events?
      th-cam.com/video/a2OBvTpY5lI/w-d-xo.html
Live footage of the coup organized by the Greek junda in Cyprus, Greek soldiers landing in Cyprus, how they opened fire on people, speeches of the President of Cyprus, Makarios, on the subject, in the words of Makarios, how the presidential residence was bombed and he barely escaped death etc..
It was Greece that destroyed the Republic of Cyprus to annex it to Greece. This is very clear. In order to protect the Turks living in Cyprus and to prevent the island from connecting to Greece, Turkey intervened in the island. Moreover, Turkey had the right to be the guarantor from the founding treaty of the Republic of Cyprus. He left one-third of his island to the Turks, and the rest to the Greeks, in a fair division. We're not playing a puzzle game where we're going to try again and again. Cyprus is not a kinder garden. 500 Turkish soldiers lost their lives because of your love of military coup and your dreams of connecting the island to Greece. There are the troubles that the Turkish Cypriots have suffered for years and the massacres perpetrated by the Greek ultra-nationalists. If you want, I can send you the very sad documentary of the Turkish Cypriot mass grave excavations. We don't want to see the same movie called "Brutality in Cyprus" again. It is clear that many of the Greek Cypriots writing on this page are extremely fanatical and have been brought up to be hostile to the Turks. We have to be realistic and a united, peaceful Cyprus with such people is an empty dream. It is a great injustice done to the Turkish Cypriots. Those who destroy the Republic of Cyprus with their ultra-nationalist fanatic ideas want to make the innocent Turkish Cypriots pay for this. This is not fair at all.

Every single element of the Chart of Human Rights has been violated by Turkey in Cyprus and elsewhere. Do you know professor Nihat Erim? The advisor to the Turkish Government on Cyprus. Are you aware of his Reports of 1956/1957 on how Turkey could conquer Cyprus? I am sure you know. To conquer Cyprus with the support of Britain’s Foreign Office (via “Divide & Rule” policies) and of CIA. You refer to Greece. False! You should refer to the Junta, not Greece. Who established the Junta in Athens? Who manipulated the coup in Cyprus (15 July 1974). Turkey’s friends. Who was the target of the coup? Turkey’s opponents. Who have been killed in the coup? Turkey’s enemies. Who were the victims of the coup? The coup’s targets, the VERY SAME victims of the Turkish troops! The innocent people of Cyprus. Let me ask you: there was a coup on the 15 of July (what a coincidence!) of 2016, in Turkey, against the Turkish President! Right? Should another bigger State invade Turkey and kill the innocent and unarmed Turkish citizens? Of course not! Then why in Cyprus the opposite should have happened? Why in Cyprus the answer is “YES”? You also refer to the role of Turkey as a guarantor and its intervention “rights” (Sic!!!). The role of the three guarantors was to protect the constitutional order of the Republic of Cyprus, my friend? Not to kill the population, to torture them, to kick them out of their homes, to extinct their civilization and to bring aliens, Turks from Turkey, in their place. This is invasion, occupation, Turkification! The most horrible war crime.. Talking about “intervention rights” don’t you wonder why in the foundation Agreements for the Republic of Cyprus (“Zurich-London Agreements”) there was a provision for guarantor States? What was the (dirty) “idea” behind this? Do you know any State that has other States as guarantors? The answer is very simple: - The Turkish invasion of Cyprus was planned and literally embodied since the inception of the Zurich-London Agreements. The only obstacle for implementing this plan was the Greek Prime Minister (G. Papandreou) and the Cypriot President (Makarios). CIA got rid of Papandreou and the Junta tried to exterminate Makarios. Today your master Mr Tatar, argues that the whole of Cyprus belongs to Turkey because, he says, in 1573 the Ottoman Martyrs (185.000) sacrificed their lives for conquering Cyprus. You see the “mentality” of your masters. The killer sacrificed his life because he has been killed while he was killing other people. So, he is a Martyr!!! Greek Cypriots seem to suffer from selective memory, they failed to place any blame on the Greek invasion in 1974 and their attempts at ethnically cleansing the island in order to join Greece. The Ukraine conflict bares no similarities to the Cyprus problem. The Ukraine conflict is between two nations, the Cyprus problem involves 2 nations and 2 ethnic communities. The Ukrainian government didn't try to ethnically cleanse the Russians living in Ukraine. The Russians want a change of leadership in the Ukraine and doesn't it want it to have close relations with the EU/Nato. There vast differences between the two conflict, but purely for propaganda purposes the Greek Cypriot lobby likes to draw comparisons in order to gain attention and sympathy. The Greek Cypriots rejected the Annan peace plan which was fully supported by the UN and EU in 2004 and achieve back Enosis by joining the EU. The current Greek Cypriot leadership continues to lie to its people by blaming the failure of the last peace talks on Turkey. The Greek Cypriot objective is and always has been to subjugate the Turkish Cypriot people and turn the island into an exclusive Greek state based on the ideals of Hellenism and Orthodoxy.
