The national guard was not hiding in the Ledra Palace Hotel in 74. They were using at as a command and control center but then agreed to allow the U.N to retain it.

@@PatilToutounjian It was enjoyable serving as a peacekeeper. Ledra Hotel is no longer used for peacekeepers. The building is no longer sound, and we were amongst the last to use its ground-floor facilities. The reviews were from soldiers who stayed at Ledra, which was rather hilarious.

Thank you for this video, you have some really cool information and l love the tour. Are you in Deneia
Village? l just found out the modern name for this village (my great grandparents were born here and they list the old Turkish name so l was unable to find it for a few years)

Another beautiful video ... guess u got a hair trimm.. initially I thought tht it's due to the humidity tht the hair is all neatly in place ... the town looked picturesque... and narration was quite detailed.. the voice soothing ...

So what was happening in 1964 for them to create a buffer zone? 10 years (a decade) of suffering maybe more considering the buffer zone was created in 1964 and they want to go on about 1974 what only lasted a few months. ???

    • @monarchist1838

The UN already deployed peacekeepers by that time. Tensions were growing 10 years before the invasion.

intercommunal violence ENDED in 1967 and resumed on Julyl 20th 1974 when turkey invaded. These are the facts. Anyone can do the research and find this for themselves.

This crossing was pre-arranged. Don't assume that as a tourist you can do the same.

You are such a Little man if you believe the lies your "islam-fascisme" country tells you. Unfortunately after a NATO directed coup by the Greek junta and EOKA B fascists your country found a reason to make an invasion on Cyprus for its own strategic interest. Even after so many years you Turks still believe in your only supremacy against many ethnic minorities on the broader region. If there is any God out there am sure some day you all gonna pay for the blood you spread. Until then unfortunately there is no hope or justice in this shithole.
