It’s definitely a skill/trade that is diminishing. The kids these days only want to do shit that involve their electronic devices and no get their hands dirty. The skill of fabbing is going to be obsolete in the next 50 years.
@@nymetsfan912 Unfortunately the days of CNC cutting tables, CNC welders and 3D metal printing will eventually make the fabricator's trade obsolete. You'll have a couple of guys to set up, monitor and fettle the finished product, but the machines will win.
@@nickmaclachlan5178 tbh, one of my best friends took 5-6 years after highschool to pursue his dream of being a race shop welder. He worked at a couple shops but it just wasnt what he really wanted. So now he is going back to school with all the money he saved up for mechanical engineering. IMO & im sure in his opinion, the best way forward is knowing how to weld 'the old school way' but using all the gadgets you can along the way. Like, CNC laser/cutting table? game changer for him & his garage fab works. He has been able to run a DSM custom fab business on the side while he goes through crazy rigorous school too. I feel the the CNC welding & 3D metal printing is still a ways out until its dialed & accessible. But you can build your own cutting table for like $2k or less.
As a forklift supervisor/ trainer/ and able to certify and a ol boat mechanic since I was 18. I see a Honda vtec turbo going in this which I know for a fact that Honda did in jet skis. These were bada$$ machines and loved when I got to summarize them and take them for test rips.....
The cbrr 1000 engine from the wheelie golf cart would be a beast in that boat. All the rpm that thing turns would make it sketchy fast! Edit- twisted tea wrap?
The higher up you go in horsepower the more expensive the pump gets, with three jet skis still sitting back in Florida and one with a fully built engine I can promise you it's a pain in the ass and very expensive 😂

I have went through many expensive hobbies such as Lasers, Ebikes, Flashlights, Computers, Car audio, Engines and more.

Plus with jet drive systems, The higher the engine RPM the faster it goes, and I've seen built rotaries turn 13K all day.. Do you know how Damn fast It would be????🤯
I think the better play may have been to anchor the boat to something and pull the truck and trailer out from under it, that way you could have set whatever dolly you needed under it and the boat itself would not have been moving forward/backward off the trailer. But I mean whatever works, you know 😁. Love the videos. Can't wait to see what you guys end up doing with that boat.
Hayden is such a beast of a fabricator. I remember it took him weeks to get the floor done on his RX7 and yours has seemed to only take days. Love to see the Boosted Boyz back together! All we need is Charlie back for something and it would be OG heaven.

You know some sound deadening material like boom mat or killmat might make it really nice in the JetBoat and you won’t feel so haggered after a day of doing it. Should help reduce noise from an echoing hull and lessen the vibration a little bit. Not sure if it is ok in a marine situation but might be worth looking into

K Swap the Jet Boat! Whatever you do make it WAAAY more powerful than Cleeters' n James'!!! Very Wise choice having it factory assembled and extra reinforced! It I like the setup on yours better than theirs too! Built in back seats and cup holders and walk through windsheild are icing on the cake! Sweet!!!
I used to build boats for alumaweld boats now but I build all the boxes an frames an ect for cascade fire equipment mig an tig love what I do love your guys stuff

If you are doing a car engine, like a 2.4l, then make sure to increase the piston to bore clearance 0.001"-0.0015" . Jet boat engines need more clearance due to the block not being able to expand like normal, the river water will keep the engine around 100* or lower. Call Finney

You need to do a full hard top like Wilkey's, you have the center window to use as a vent and when it rains you'll be stoked!! IDK if you could run a rotary on wet exhaust but that would quiet it down a ton............
