Next week on Cleetus's channel... "The boys at Texas speed really hooked us up for our jet boat" 6 mos later "This new jet boat engine is from Steve Morris"
This has to be one the most fun builds to watch, at first I was like megh... more jet boats... but this thing is so unique and amazingly well engineered and thought out. Never thought it would beat Cleetus's boat but here we are! The Boiz did it! Love it and keep it up! Lets turn this boat up! I want to see it go 70mph!
@@kick_then_shift Yeah literally perfect for their application. Limited run-time as it is, not like it's on a daily car. Also well protected from dust, dirt and grime in that bay so. I grew up on the rivers in Maryland fishing and crabbing had tons of boats, never have i ever seen anything like this boating community. Looks freaking awesome!!
Man this video got me so pumped, your jet boat is officially my favorite, right next to the give away boat cleetus had! you guys have built some AWESOME units!
Once you hit around 58/59 mph with that jet drive pump you have currently you can easily upgrade the impeller Wheels to something with more surface area and you can upgrade the intake great with one that has larger scoops with a sharper angle to get a lot more mph now that you have a turbo on it. You have to remember when you ordered that jet drive you told them you would be using a stock naturally aspirated k series engine on it to begin with so they sized the impeller for that engine not for one with a turbo so there's plenty of meat on the bone so to speak.
Exactly. Boats respond big with small changes. The hulls on the mini jets are designed for shallow water, rocks, branches, cruising.. it's similar to a ski boat hull that was designed for steady, consistent 35 mph runs. I noticed he trimmed it down to keep it from porpoising on launch but didn't see him re-adjust when the boat got up on plane. Maybe I missed that??
You guys should seriously consider putting together a Honda k engine and jet pump package for people who don't want to go the Sea Doo route. Mini jet boats / Adventure boats are exploding in popularity and your engine pump setup works. I'm sure there's a lot of people out there that would be happy to pay to have that same setup in their new mini jet boat
By the time you factor in the cost of the pump, and the swap the Sea-Doo drop in is less expensive. Plus then you got something which is factory you can resell. Swap hodgepodges don't go for anything even if they're done well.
Like otm said it's considerably cheaper to go the seadoo route and it's a complete setup. Yamaha 1.8 is actually a much better package, stock with a few parts is 350hp but about $6k package vs
@Donald Johnson he has a k swap that will last forever and a kick associated jet pump . Those supercharged seadoo engines are notoriously unreliable. I would take Kyle's boat anyway over Cleetus's.
One of the main things I like about using a Honda Motor in a Mini jet boat I know people that can work on Honda I don't know anyone that's a Sea-Doo mechanic and Honda parts are sold everywhere I think it's the way to go
Since that manifolds running so cool I would cut that fuel tank in half and put half on the other side with a transfer hose between the two. That'll help it sit more level in the water👍👍
@@kick_then_shift Im not saying have it hold 40 gallons of gas, but 2 small cells would be perfect. and when I'm riding my jet ski, my fun time is limited to how much gas I have. and he has a 300-400 hp car engine that hes planning to run E85 in. there's been many times when I headed back to the dock before I was ready to call it a day due to being low on gas. having slightly more fuel than needed is never a bad thing in a boat.
You need to trim you outlet nozzle down a little when you get on plane and swap the inlet gate with a horizontal wing gate to hydroplane up. That will help you increase your speed, allows for a much stronger push.

The boat alone is like 6K+ with all the option they put into it. Then slapped a k-series into it and boosted it. And also had it professionally wrapped. I’m guessing like 15K-20K in total? I’m sure I’m way off, but I’m curious as well.
@@grantlewis7885 isn’t this the “10ft Headwater” model? It’s $4,600 CAD for a complete kit alone. Then they put like all the options I’m sure, like the Lexan Windshield, which is $850 alone. And then the welded hull alone is another $3250 CAD on top. Add the freight shipping cost to North America, and I’m sure you’re looking a pretty penny.
Turn key ready to go they run $40,000 to $60,000. Kits that you weld up are pretty reasonable and the option s dictate the cost. 1 stringer, 4 stringer, type of windshield, the walk through windshield, stomp grate or welded grate, it all adds to the price of the boat. Since they bought a 4 seater, prewelded, with many of the options, I'm guessing around $20,000 without the engine. You can buy used ones ready to go for around $15,000. Theres also a discount if you buy 2, 3, or more. I forgot the upper end jetdrive they went with. So I'm probably low at $20,000.
Kyle you NEED/MUST move your jet-ovater/nozzle trim switch to your steering wheel, where you can hit it with you thumb 👍, for safety, and performance!..from Wyoming USA 🇺🇸 🤠
No don't trim it up more. If your jet drive shoots above the water you are loosing power. Just find the sweet spot on the trim Your boat is bow heavy. I think fixing drag on the hull from the Black rock guard panels will help. Have Wyatt sit in the back on the light side.
100% do something to trim the thing to ride on the stern of the hull. Way less resistance and it will give major results for top end without needing extra power. 54mph, yes on the water in a small boat that is proper quick. My bone stock 17 footer with a propeller and a v6 stern drive, it weighs probably 9 times as much, but it will sit on the 4800rpm limiter all day and do 60mph. Only trimmed right. Its a 220hp. Nothing fancy, but its licenced for 7 adults.
It's gotta be quite a bit. That engine and jet drive has gotta weigh at least twice as much as the small jet-ski setup in cleet's boat, so it's pretty impressive.
It's a little concerning that there's never any mention of safety upgrades as these rockets keep going faster and faster. I know it feels sissy but just in case of an under water, catastrophic failure, it might be a good idea to have some harnesses or noodles available. Looks super fun though.
They wear fire suites at the track but not lifejackets on the boat. I always thought that was ironic. Lifejackets will save your life just like a seatbelt, harnes, HANS, or cage. Just look at what happed to Leo from SxSVlog the first time they rode with Cleet. You can never be too careful...
Would it be worth investing is something that will cut out your engine covers?? Can get smaller desk top version's now. Boats running great.ThankQ.TkEZ>UK
Make sure you got the right jet when you switch to E85 and 20psi, you might get nothing out of it and might even blow shit up if the jet starts cavitating badly
It's all rpm based, as long as they stay under whatever the maximum rpm rating for that pump is they're fine. The housing is designed to flow that rate.
@@otm646 yes but that's attached to the volume and mass of water it's flowing, which determines the HP requirement at whatever given RPM. So what's optimized for this setup won't be optimized for the E85 high boost cuz it'll be able to move a lot more water, but it'll need more pump to keep up the flow. But it's ok, Kyle mentioned something in the video about it, he knows 🤘
With which E-85 are You supposing and guessing, 'guestimating' these results ? local, fuel, filling station, 'pump' version "E-85", which is commonly 40% ethanol upt to 55%, in warmer temperatures up to 65% in some locations or proper, true E-85=85% ethanol = racing C-85 or something in between ?? It seems that Your "guestimates" are incorrect - how so ? if currently using 'pump fuel' with 10 lbs boots achieves 54 MPH, and each 1 lb increase of boost increased 1 MPH, then to achieve 60 MPH is 6+ MPH, such the boost would also increase 6+ lbs =>thus, 16 lbs boost would result in 60 MPH, 14 lbs MPH would achieve 58 MPH, 18 lbs boost achieves 62 MPH, 20 lbs boost achieves 64 MPH. Then adding the improved power with the use of ethanol increases from there, each result including from lower through higher boost levels. Good Luck Sincerely

Kyle, that intercooler you have is a CORK. You are leaving a lot of power on the table... Take advantage of the unlimited water supply by using a better water-to-air unit. Call JP and have him hook you up with a FIZZLE IC...either his F1000 unit, or the Original First Generation cooler. Either way, you will make more power with less boost... And plumb the water a little different, right now you are sending too much hot water from the exhaust to the turbo...After your sand filter, split the water line...One hose should go to your IC, then to your turbo water fitting...then dump to the exhaust fitting. That water will be cooler than the exhaust....And your exhaust, should have its own line. it can dump either to the exhaust or to a hull fitting...

Damn that thing is flying, I wonder what the weight difference is from Cleetes
It's gotta be quite a bit. That engine and jet drive has gotta weigh at least twice as much as the small jet-ski setup in cleet's boat, so it's pretty impressive.
There is nothing better than BoostedBoiz showing Cleetus their fastest toys
It's a little concerning that there's never any mention of safety upgrades as these rockets keep going faster and faster. I know it feels sissy but just in case of an under water, catastrophic failure, it might be a good idea to have some harnesses or noodles available. Looks super fun though.
They wear fire suites at the track but not lifejackets on the boat. I always thought that was ironic. Lifejackets will save your life just like a seatbelt, harnes, HANS, or cage.
Just look at what happed to Leo from SxSVlog the first time they rode with Cleet. You can never be too careful...
No harness in boats life vests lol harness in water = death
Everyone will immediately perish on impact, but under the seat is a flotation device...
You can't have harnesses in a boat.. if something were to happen and they couldn't get them off they would drown..
@@billypettit7132 Thanks for correcting my boating terminology. My concern remains the same.
Prime example of turbo vs supercharger. Nothing like a supercharger for the instant power but the top end power and the ease of tuning is pretty nice
Y'all have this over 1000hp before we know it even with oil😂
I’m so happy you guys moved to Florida! Live Free my brothers!
I’d really be more worried about the way the airboat is going to ride in the water than the jet boat😂
I’m impressed. Good job boys. Wasn’t sure about the torque but it’s all there and it sounds amazing.
You're kicking ass in Florida Kyle so awesome
You, and cleetus in a video is just great
I'm calling it now. The Jet boat does 58-60 on 18/20lbs on E85.
Good Luck
Sincerely
@@newtonfirefly3584 Came back here to say nice prediction. You were right.
@@ForceFed Your reply is appreciated along with its acknowledgement and acceptance.
Though, my comment just conveyed the correct assessment, evaluation and simple calculations.
All The Best, Sincerely
Hey Kyle how much fuel does it use after a good day of running I would like to compare it to the one like cleetus
I fear these boats are gonna lead to a terrible disaster. Please be careful boiz! Wear a life jacket, treat boat safety the same as car safety.
I absolutely love the Florida boiz getting together.
It's like Kyle forgets to stay in the throttle during turns
SO AWESOME!! This build is so cool and it's making me so excited for the Skippy ( Extra Chunky)
The music selection was spot on brother... Love ur vids guys... 🙂👍
uh, who cuts the bottom board? It's all speed and technique. I break with my foot, knee, elbow, head, knife hand, fist, or index finger. Pine stacks are my specialty. I know others who prefer bricks and cinder blocks. Some demonstrations use salted blocks of ice. The Power Team, breaks Louisville Sluggers, over their hip and thigh joint.
Good to see you boys out having fun and living 👌
So thankful u have made Wyatts O.C.D.s fit so well into what you do. He makes every build better with his quality and safety control!
Wyatt does not have OCD=Obsessive Compulsive Disorder - that is a Disorder also per the psychology label, Obsessive and Compulsive which are specific forms of lack of control.
Wyatt is very methodical, precise, accurate, often exact within his process, fabrication, installation, work, etc.
Kyle has improved his abilities too, within his relationship, friendship, partnership with Wyatt and from with Brent, Jaime, Shane, Steven, Tom, Phong, Shawn, Hayden, Emilio, etc. within the PFI crew.
Good Luck, All The Best, Sincerely
These guys can make any thing that can hold a Honda engine work wht a amazing job well done peace love n much blessings can wait to see the truck make its first pass
Quick Honda's
Jet boats
Diesel trucks
Killing it gentleman keep it up
Random thought, would love to see you guys do an off-road build. SUV or small pickup with enough ground clearance to take off-roading, gotta have awd or 4wd; and of course a k swap!
add hydraulic bennett trim tabs or classic static ski boat trim tab...the hydraulic are independently adjustable for weight and planning trim....
Yoo, didn't know the Twisted Tea shirts were a thing.... Gotta grab one of those lol.
These boats are crazy, be safe out there!
Great video had a smile on my face the whole time, love the boats!!
@12:25 You need to talk #CleetusMcFarland into having a jet sprint boat course dug out! He'd get snowbird racers from the whole country down there!
Nice job guys, you have to take those wins from Cleetus when you get them.
Built head studded motor, compound turbos for rapid spooling out of the hole. Bigger impeller......ignite e85 20lb boost.....sounds like a party
Hell yeah! I've been waiting for this video!
The punch through the wall at 3:27 reminded me of Charlie slapping that guy back in the day 😂
When we ask for deliverance we always get our package best content ever made boosted boys And cletus McFarland the best duo ever cheer from north west Canada deep in the woods ❤
is it the supercharger on cleetus boat thats making it get the jump on the bottom end an then kyles running it down cause of the turbos. like in a car.
Im so happy you and cleeter are making friends now my 2 most fav cartubers are making bonus content lol

Thank you Jose! hook it up with a cool bundle broski!!! my birthday is on the 16th
Order number 22539
I'd hate to see the engine pop in the boat. Is there any way to monitor the engine load?
Loving the new new music added to the videos!!
Man this was a sick video. Can’t wait till you can race the jet boat vs air boat!
On take off trim it down atw and both you guys set forward
Once you start planing out trim up slowly to avoid the bounce. Once fully trimmed out then set in the back to help
Keep up the great work
oh heeeeelllllll yeah! been waitin for this one!
Omg hell yeah brother I have been waiting for this for so loooooonnnnnnnnnnggggggggggg!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A mini jet boat drag racing series would be cool. Oh and it would seem that a jet boat would go faster with prop speed you should put a rotary in it with a huge turbo. Than spin it to 10k RPM.
Did you get nozzle inserts? You could play with them and see how it changes. 👍 dig the vids.
