    I love how the lights give it a determined, frowny face. A bike needs character, and this makes it into a sort of Pokémon. Looks great.

      The screen! My word. My 23 nt1100 the screen needs so much force to move it! It's on highest and isn't moving again. I'm terrified of snapping it

    This is a great review by someone that really knows the older model. So they can provide valuable insight not just specs. I have the current model and now plan to upgrade to get the IMU, improved DCT, adaptive suspension, and the new screen plus I love the new styling especially in blue! Note you do not need to have a headset to use Carplay. When prompted to connect a headset hold down the ‘back’ button on the left bar for a few seconds. Then Carplay will start up without a headset.

    I was in the market for an NT last year and it was your video that persuaded me to head for my test ride, all the other testers didn't do the bike justice, subsequently i purchased it on the spot, loved the bike but as is well reported there are some small niggles with it, so it's at the dealership now traded in, and the new 2025 model odered for 1st March........ thanks for your encouraging review im now looking forward to my new steed and counting the days 👍

    Finally got that Electronic Suspension, but let’s face it-this is just a Tourer, not a Sport Tourer. It’s missing that thrill factor when you hit the twisties. Honda really should’ve added radar cruise-that would’ve nailed it as the ultimate touring beast. Right now, bikes like the Tracer 9 GT+ and Versys 1100 SE are bringing the spark and excitement that the NT just doesn’t have.

    • @mancavemoto
      @mancavemoto  4 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @ this is great news! I currently ride 2018 Goldwing DCT, non tour which is a brilliant bike and have almost 149,000 miles on it. I also own 2017 VFR 1200X DCT, 2010 VFR 1200F DCT, and 2009 Yamaha FJR 1300 AE so I’m quite experienced with the semi/full auto gearboxes. I’ve also owned a 2016 Africa Twin DCT, but it didn’t have the power I was looking for at the time, and I thought I was going to do more off roading, but I didn’t. I really do like what Honda has done with the NT1100 though, and can’t wait to test ride it. Thanks for your response. Ride safe…

    A lot of testers have complained of bad Turbulence from the screen on its highest position. The old version never usually had this problem, so something could be wrong.
    They have made a lot of small changes, just hope they dont make it worse, just for style.

    • @mancavemoto
      @mancavemoto  3 วันที่ผ่านมา

    Hello Tony! Could You compare the windshield of the previous model with the new 2025 one? I'm not talking about shifting it, but about wind protection. The 2024 model has got wider windshield especially on the top of it. It's about 7 cm wider but it's a lot. And a few riders mentioned that the new one in the top position gives some buffeting in your helmet. The old one was perfect for me and it was closer to the rider`s head... Could You give your opinion about it. Thanks a lot for the video!

    • @mancavemoto
      @mancavemoto  4 วันที่ผ่านมา

      No problem. I didn’t find that much difference. The screen is a little narrower, but the front end of the bike is also a different shape. On the 2025 as you may be able to see in the video, the higher you lift the screen the more upright it sits, which means the overall coverage is at least the same as previously.

    Always thought of the NT1100 as Honda's version of Yamaha 's Tracer 900GT just not as sporty. It's quite a hansom bike but the original colour options were really boring , hopefully the 2025 colours will rectify that . Quite surprised to hear you state the NT 1100 was Europe's best selling tourer in 2023 as I can't say I have seen many out on the road in either UK or Europe, I saw a lot of Yamaha Tracers and Kawasaki Versys models.

  • @Hondadctrider

    Yup, I'm one of those people in the comments who is going to nag about the lack of shaft drive. A bike isn't a toy to me and if a machine is made for mile munching and commuting, it should be as practical as possible for high milers and all weather use. A glance at BMW sales should be enough to prove the point. If they'd put a drive shaft on it, I'd order it today, for a company like Honda that's no biggie (they did it with the 650 v-twin shared by NTV650 and XLV650 years ago) but I appreciate that the European big bore market is barely a blip on the company's revenue spreadsheet. I personally don't care about the price all that much, I've had CBs, CBRs and several ST1100s, I know Honda will always be value for money. It's obviously an amazing bike (I have the engine in my CMX1100 toy) but right now it's a pizza without the cheese, it's quite simply not done yet.

    Does anyone have any thoughts on why this bike is not offered in US? If you don't live on east or left coast of this country, European bike dealerships are quite limited but Honda, Kawasaki, etc. are everywhere.

      @@mancavemoto Excellent! Thanks for the update. Hopefully we don't get the Henry Ford treatment and are offered any color we want as long as it's black.

    Only real competition is probably the new Tracer 9 GT+ or the Versys 1100 (with ES)

    Many of us ride 2 up but reviews seem to presume everyone rides one up.....

      The Japanese engineers were riding with us and they were two up. All seemed fine. The ES makes adding preload simple

    Sad that the Carplay / Android Auto still needs a wired connection. That's really unnecessary & quite a bother.

    Nice bike. Would be a 'no-brainer' for me if it had shaft drive, or even better - a belt. Shame.

    A more practical Africa Twin; a less attractive Africa Twin. To my eyes. Great bike, though.

    The 2025 Honda Forza 750 cc looks lighter, has an electric screen and cruise control. For an old fart like me it sounded a better option.

    It's a problem with touring bike review, few if any consider the comfort of the passenger. I can see the logic for sports bikes but many touring bikes are used two up. A BMW GT800 l had years ago came with luggage etc but when used two up the suspension bottomed out, it was a useless 2 up tourer despicable looking the part.

      @mancavemoto  4 วันที่ผ่านมา

      To be fair it’s not something you get to experience on a launch. Although the guys from Honda Japan that were with us were riding two up. The electronic suspension version makes it really easy as it has preset preload for rider, rider + luggage, rider + pillion and rider, plus pillion and luggage. You can also adjust independently.

    Nothing wrong with this bike mechanically. The problem is visuals..the first version looked so….bland.. like a whale from the side, and a big scooter from the front 😅
    Guess Honda got the message.

    So Honda will you listen to an ole American Honda motorcycle rider ?
    Would you please sell this bike in the USA.
    I can't believe you don't have a high selling market here. Common Honda.
