Well... just another one of those days. In today's video, we make some changes/upgrades to the attack r32 gtr and head out to Buttonwillow raceway. On our second session we had some unexpected issues pop up. Back to the drawing board.

honestly this whole process as grueling as it is for DUT is super awesome, I love the transparency just goes to show you even with the best parts and best shops/tuners/mechanics things still go wrong that just part of building a car there's always kinks to work out as you chase perfection. So hyped to see the attack32 once everything gets ironed out but honestly look forward to watching DUT tackle all the kinks along the way even more.
I hope he builds the civic as an all motor kswap that way he can beat the hell out of it without worrying of blowing it up
That be the best track set-up he could build. And be alot cheaper then this gtr. I love the gtr, but I've owned and beat the ever liven shit out of my honda civics the most na and just kept running perfectly all the time. I drive a 07 civic si with a jdm k24a swope an 6speed lsd trans, an let me tell ya that's that's most fun car I've owned yet. Hope he does the k24/k20 build.

With all these cars and e85 it's time to get a injector cleaner and tester.. Buying new ones every time one gets clogged sounds expensive..

Reletively new subscriber here; I usually enjoy the drifting aspect of in car TH-cam videos. I grew up watching F1 and V8 supercars with my dad, playing Forza and Gran Turismo, but I thoroughly enjoyed the in car racing view. It felt like watching real life Sim Racing. Keep the vids coming!

Injector tests before fitting boom keep it up bro
My friends and I used ti remove the power brakes and steering on race cars as the brakes used to stay on as we started to put the power back down and the steering was always a problem.
Keep that same attitude dut. Don’t get discouraged! It’s all part of the process. Got to think even f1 teams have car issues.

Make sure your coils have a GOOD ground to the ignition system
YOOOOO THAT GRAND TURISMO LAYOUT WAS SICK!!!
Not sure what coil packs you are running but I had to switch to R35 coil packs after 500hp or so on both of my RB26s.
Also, I have a PS pump for a R32 GTR if needed still.
Love the r32 man! The sequential would be so good for this but I think that you shouldn't put it to any of your other cars.
They have a solenoid on the rack for hard soft steering so at high speeds it get harder this will be your issue it is driven by the stock ecu with the speed input needed
Had the same issue back when I ecu swapped my old R32.
The most common time injectors get clogged is with new fuels lines. All the debris in the lines make its way to the injectors so i think a solid cleaning and flow test will fix the issue

Yo Dut how come you were running/revving the car with a misfire, can't it do all sorts of damage to the engine because the air/fuel ratio is imbalanced? Also have you checked that the tune and oil grade is fine because didn't it get tuned at Jimmy's in colder weather?

yeah sucks when it happens but better to happen when your doing testing and tuning instead of in a race where your out before you can really show your stuff. you will get it all irons out on the kinks this is all normal for race cars.
Best thing for you to do is learn the tuning software on the laptop so your able to look at different things in the logs to find problems 🤙👍

you got so used to the S that you learned the basics of fast driving now you tripled the power and the unreliability, hopefully you get to enjoy your r32beast in its full wrath, you can always make the spoon guy faster, God Bless man, stay awesome
idk if the r32 steering system is at all similar to the z32, but if the power steering control module fails to get a speed signal, it will failsafe into high speed mode aka stiff steering. many times its just bad connections/solder joints at the speedo cluster. again not sure if the same with r32s though

Just buy a injectors cleaner and tester clean and test before you go check plugs that's all stuff you do before you go out and even if you check them running a fair amount of boost builds a fair amount of heat in the combustion chamber and that can make the gap expand or get so hot it literally curls to no gap or touches the electrode completely gonna have to mess around with heat ranges on plugs sounds like you need a slightly colder plug or you need a hotter one gotta mess around and see how it acts in a stress test situation on track with the plugs when you get your injectors right so you can see dynos not gonna answer it properly with how the chassis loads up on the dyno vs how it actually loads on the track or street and also you could have a spicy amount of timing in as well usually if your on e and that's happening it's something maybe a bit different than fuel but definitely connected to the dwell for ignition or timing need to take a crash course on reading plugs

Is the cap on the welded power steering tank loose? It has to have a loose fit, so that it doesn’t get hot and pressure doesn’t build up

Tbh i like no powersteering feel on track more than having it. Its much harder for slow stuff but it feels mosre more precise. A lot of race cars dont have powersteering.
I used to enjoy an car of mine just because of this, it was slow as shit but it felt so precise
He needs powersteering to overcome torque steer on the front wheels.

@@Johntonius last that i know off his r32 is awd and those front wheel will need assistance steering. He ain't running stock size tires or stock power levels.
Dude change the voltage to the solenoid using the ECU. Mine is set to a constant 4v I think.
Your intermittent power steering is likely a sensor issue. Happens often.

It could be a bad wire going to one of the injectors. Injectors might be fine

14:00 u need ngk bcpr6es. 🙋♂️🇦🇺 they come 0.8 gap witch would be good for high hot loads around 600whp but can take to 0.6 just depends on ur coilpacks... trust me I'm a sydeny born Aussie I know rbs lol

Maybe the injectors don't have the right voltage .
It sounds like your bypass valve in the power steering pump is getting hung up, it’s going to be under the fitting adapter on the return side in most pumps. I have had a similar issue on a build before and it turned out a small piece of debris from building the lines got miss d and was my culprit, I would start there I personally have never seen a rack cause a failure like that.
You don’t need power steering bro just consider it part of your arm workout 😂

Don’t get new injectors. Have them flow tested and cleaned. Before buying a completely new set.
