Literally same, I had no idea she was an established character, or Reiko for that matter. As a guy who got into the series from 9 onwards these were real shocks to me to go back and see. I still like what they did in the new games but dang, it would've been cool to see her and her weapons in a modern game.
I play Li mei in mortal kombat deadly alliance playthrough in the game right after I saw her ending I was like damn they did her bad and that make me feel bad and sad for her
The idea of Bi Han being purified after being sucked by the soulnado and purified by the Elder Gods instead of following the path of a jobber the Netherrealm has put him on makes me want to weep.
Even if he would still a jobber,I would prefer he keeping with his mk9 "We share blood,we are not brothers." Than the mk11 "YOOOOU DAAARE TO CHAAALENGE DEAPH???" Bullshit Aesthetically he is perfect on mk11,but his voice and edgy personality are just so stupid
And there was a good idea people have mentioned for MK11. Have Bi Han kill Hanzo, and take past Scorpion's role in the story. Go to help the heroes and have to convince them he's on their side. It can actually parallel MK2 Scorpion to an extent. Feel regretful for killing Hanzo, who Kuai Liang is close with, as Scorpion did for taking Bi Han from him in the original timeline.
@@naos8116 Tired of Sub Zero and Scorpion being in a never-ending "I kill you, then you come back from the dead and kill me" loop. Just let Hanzo fucking live for once.

48:00Contrary to popular belief, Ermac never taught Kenshi telekinesis. Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance Konquest Mode clearly states that Sento is what gave him his powers. This misconception came from Deception, when it's stated that Ermac taught him the telekinetic slam, not telekinesis itself.
That "Power of Love" crap completely broke my emersion because Cage has had the glow since the first Mortal Kombat. Unless you're going to tell me that he's not glimmering whenever he uses it.
Also the way they handled it was shit. Why would he say "I don't know what just happened"? He's basically supposed to be the top guy after a bunch of guys like liu kang and sub zero died. Why would you have a guy who's perfect for a redemption arc say that? He wons fights in mk9 and then his ass kicked 4 times in a row. Some were really bad. He was a jokester and wasn't that serious and didn't even believe in the supernatural beings at first. So you give this guy a green superpower aura that's supposed to come from a god killing tribe and you make him not understand what his power is and just go "idk but it be like that." You don't have someone like raiden mention it? You don't make a big deal about it? Like think about it. Shinnok is a literal god and Johnny cage beating raiden would sound like bullshit. With the whole mk 11 thing, we learned that raiden and lui kang have fought in multiple universes and raiden has beaten lui kang in them. Okay so basically, if Johnny cage is facing a god and has the green aura, he's around lui kang or stronger than lui kang. Johnny was able to knock shinnok down after shinnok was beating everyone earlier. So why was the green power thing not elaborated? Why did they not talk about the type of training johny would do in a dire situation after mk9. They just stopped thinking about how johny even being able to knock down shinnok sounds.
I feel like if the power was something like strenth or somethinv power or something but this love crap make.no sense because it was never explored in the 2011 version so it weird .
He's a Green Lantern! The WILL to protect his loved ones caused a hardlight shield to encompass him. It's all so obvious, come on guys. Also, it's owned by WB so you can't even 100% deny the possibility of a Lantern Corp Ring getting left in Earthrealm after the whole MK v DC thing
I was insanely disappointed with Kotal Khan and his Outworld followers. He had guys like Reptile and Ermac, characters I already love to death and new characters I was so ready to love, Like Erron and Ferra/Torr. But they didn't give the old characters anything to do (Reptile and Ermac legit do jack in this story except be bodyguards and lose, like Ermac is supposed to be one of the most powerful warriors I thought?) and the new characters had almost no personality outside being grunts. And this extends to the SF kids too, for the most part. I'm biased towards Cassie cuz I love Johnny Cage, but the other kids don't really get much despite their admittedly kind of interesting designs. Going back to the Outrealm characters, Kotal Khan and Mileena's civil war seemed SUPER cool, and that clash could've easily been the central plot and really explore the new cast, on top of giving the old characters something to be doing instead of "standing guard" everywhere. I guess that's asking too much for one plot, but I think it could've worked. Besides, it would've fixed the villains being incompetent since you could switch between both sides during the different levels, so they both seem equal in power. Idk it's probably dumb but its a thought
@Trevor Anthony i know,he first defeats erron, skarlet and shao kahn then he he disappears then returns eith jade to try allying with the tarkatans, then he gets his back broken by SHAO FUCKING KAHN...THE GUY THAT HE DEFEATED,i seriously can't make sense out of that.
I'm just upset that the war that we never got to see was ended so quickly by killing Mileena privately instead of on a battlefield infront of all her loyal subjects yk
I agree, but the new characters definetly had personality. Ferra and Torr look like savage fighters, not very intelligent, and Erron Black has a personality of almost an arrogant, self confident gunslinger. I think my overviews on them aren't the best, but my message is that the new characters definetly have personality. You can't go look at Torr and Ferra, and tell me they have no personality.
Honestly this game has the same issue a bunch of other fighting games seem to have. They sat down wrote a general story script, maybe did a once over to address the biggest continuity problems and called it a day.
@@The4thSnake I find the gameplay exceedingly annoying in multiplayer or on hard or higher difficulty, but then too easy to the point of being boring on medium. One thing I hate about NRS fighting games is that knowing the specials is never enough. Not even knowing combos is enough. Specials do so little damage they're basically worthless except for setting up an even longer chain of combos. The fighting never feels like an actual fight, just a juggling tournament. Even when I lose to the ai in Mortal Kombat 2, it's still extremely satisfying to play that game. But when you fight and lose in MKX, it just feels extremely frustrating. Speaking of frustrating, the load times for this game on PC are horrendous if you do not have an SSD.
After reading some comments and rewatching this i realized something. Instead of making the story on the go, both MK9 and MKX stories are written with set beggining and end, while middle is just afterthought. Like you said, they wanted to end MK9 with "defeat-the-villain-by-letting-him-win" trope. In original timeline that wouldn't work so they retconned it to make invasion is legal. This raises the question "Why Khan didn't invaded earlier then?", so they came up with Sindel's wards and some bs self sacrifice. In turn there's a plot hole, because if Khan won 10 tournaments in a row he still wouldn't be able to invade, making Outworld's participation in a tournament for 950 years a complete waste of time. However since ending was set in stone, writers knew this conflict would be resolved by the end, even if in universe, it's batshit insane and makes you wonder if Shang Tsung accidentally hit Khan in the head with his sledgehammer between both timelines (would explain why he's so mad at him). Speaking of Tsung - they wanted him dead by the end. How to do that? Make Khan blame him for every failure, so his death would make sense ... i guess. The reasoning for killing Tsung is fine - Khan got tired of blaming him for his failures. Blaming him for things that weren't his fault on the other hand makes no sense at all. And i guess Khan's pride made him forget about Tsung's accomplishments just to make sure he gets killed. These were just two examples. MKX they wanted to begin with Johnny defeating Shinnok, then his offspring do the same at the end and have Liu Kang with Kitana ruling the Netherrealm. So they made Shinnok incapable of dying. Either Johnny or his kid defeating him would be unbelievable so they taped together excuse of Johnny being from cult that trains warriors for the gods (How? Where? When?) and this ridiculous green lantern core with power of love bs. They pulled 180 with Quan Chi from Mary Sue, which could give Rey run for her money into a joke who's getting beaten by everyone and is so incompetent, that even Jar Jar looks like mastermind next to him. Why? So he won't obtain amulet and bring Shinnok back in next 20 (25?) years. Why? So Johnny's offspring will have time to grow up and kick Shinnok's ass. Since they made Shinnok incapable of dying, they ditched Quan Chi's betrayal plot, which could be the only reedemable aspect of his pitiful character in MKX. Why SF didn't capture revenants in Jax's chapter? Because Kitana and Liu Kang are supposed to be the rulers of the Netherrealm and they can't do that if they get back to life.
The list goes on and on, but you get the point. This could explain why there are so many fillar fights in MK9 and fillar chapters (2,3,5,7,10 and 11) combined with flashbacks in MKX. I just dread the idea of MK11 repeating these mistakes.
Things change over time and no one can predict the success or failure of a game. If it succeeds and makes the studio money, there's incentive to rewrite or change aspects that were once meant to end the game. And if the game does poorly, it's unlikely a sequel will be made to continue a given storyline or reboot the franchise altogether. It sounds like you're looking for near perfection with a storyline that undergone different writers and producers over the last 10+ years. Submit what you wrote to Netherrealm Studios and see what they say...
I think you miss the primary point of the story mode. Though it may appear cinematic, it's not a movie. You're dead right about all these plot holes, no contention there. However, the story mode in MK9 and MKX is supposed to a more elegant and entertaining version of essentially the character intros and character endings in the original MK games. It serves to introduce the player to the new character and allow them to get acquainted with the character both in terms of move sets (if you play as them) and in terms of backstory. Does this mean the writers can't still come up with something more logically consistent? Of course not. This isn't excusing plot holes; however, making sure these plot holes that most people wouldn't really notice upon first viewing are gone isn't really the primary goal of the story mode. I think NRS simply prioritized things like creative Fatalities and creative new character designs (mostly) over stellar writing in the campaign. Though truth be told, the NRS games still have much better writing than most modern movies, for whatever little that's worth I guess.
I like to think that Johnny gets his powers through extreme stress. I read somewhere that when near death, his powers help him like a healing factor. I am going to go with that instead of a loved one stuff.
55:29 "They spot the kids immediately assume that they're working with D'Vorah because fight time-I mean they're diots-I mean... fight time. Because fight time." To quote Sonya in Defenders of the Realm... KOMBAT TIME!!
I'm not gonna lie, I adore Takeda. I'm such a sucker for the gruff dad stereotype. Scorpion's and Takeda's relationship was the best part of the comics for me.
I don't really hear this mentioned often but the klassic costumes in this game, specifically the ninjas look awful, they looked a lot better in MK9 but in this game they're a bit too tight and rubbery.
1:17:37 It occurred to me in this sequence that Smoke smacks Jacqui once, and then proceeds to stand and watch as she, Takeda and the other four revenants actually commit to fight them. That's hilarious in of itself lmao
1:16:44 I like the idea of Sindel feeling like a failure to Kitana , which leads to subconciously become uber motherly towards others to try to balance it . Also , this line has given way to many sexual Fanfics between Sindel and Cassandra .
You know, taking a look at 1:16:44, I do like that Sindel head-canon as well. I'm actually a bit surprised that there aren't that many fanfics presenting Sindel as a "I'm officially adopting you" mother figure to other characters.
I think the reason many people liked Erron was the same reason the Star Wars fan base fell for Boba Fett.... The potential of such a character or drawing a simularity between the two.
Corrections and Clarifications: -The round system is the traditional one. I'm really not sure how I made this mistake. -Kenshi only learned the Telekinetic Slam from Ermac, not TK overall. Makes this detail seem kinda pointless, really. -It turns out Takeda's name goes back further than Conquest; the old MK Mythologies website said the Shirai Ryu was founded by a man named Takeda. Conquest obviosuly drew on this for their take on the founder, and MKX may have been drawing on this, assuming anyone involved remembered this.
The4thSnake Any khance you plan on doing a MK11 wishlist video? I'd be interested to see what your hopes are koncerning the roster, modes and story for the upkoming game.
I don't blame you. I've been told the devs have said she'll be important in the future, which seems more like a response to their baffling mistake than an existing long term plan.
My big problem with that is that she was never even mentioned ONCE. They just acted like she never existed. She wasn't even shown as a revenant. WTF happened?
I'm going to be honest; I never really noticed too much of a problem with how NRS handled the story of the games until watching your videos and seeing just how loose a grasp on the world the writers have on it compared to the Midway era. While I still think there's alot to enjoy in the NRS titles, the handling of the story and characters really cast a shadow over what are fun games to play that is damn near impossible to escape at times. I would love to see a critique from you on one of the 3D era games since that's the point where they really started expanding the lore in game (that and Deception was my first MK game and it's still my favorite). None of the MK games are flawless, but I'd love to hear your take on a Mortal Kombat game you genuinely loved.
Sometimes I wish Netherrealm never got their hands on MK, they should've let the franchise rest with Midway, Armageddon would've been a good ending to the franchise.
Yeah having MK11 now and looking back at MKX you can clearly see that “X” had a very dark and muddy tint to it.. Even the brighter colored characters still looked like they had this appearce like I’m looking at them with sunglasses on.
@@lordshura9717 yeah I think colour suits mortal kombat more than the dark tint After all the only way to differentiate the ninjas originally was by their bright colour
I can’t wait for the MK1 critique. I feel like the character interaction and characterization overall has seen huge improvement Edit: well… at least the first half :’)
I would like to point out that the reason subzero was turned human again because Quan chi stated that subzero was actually weaker as a cyborg and turned him back
The4thSnake it was in comic if memory serves but at the very least they did give a reason. As to Wether or not a cyborg is better than a human is a topic for debate.
Honestly the only member of the “MK Teen Titans” I like is Takeda. I find him really cool being the son of Kenshi and trained by Scorpion(two of my favorite characters)
The4thSnake you know I’ve noticed that before lol. I prefer Takeda of course lmao though I feel like I was in the minority of people who actually liked Zombie Liu Kang
@@THEKXRMANETWORK It had potential. My main issue is how Raiden never had a reason to create the zombie, which will play a small part in the next Wasted Plotential.
Same thing you said about Quan chi in the last game, can be said of D'Vorah. She dodges sooo much karma in this game. Serious talk though, she's such a shit character
Soo, idk if people will read this, But I always read that scene with Jonny and Quan-chi as, "Jonny is losing his life, and as he dies, His soul is leaving his body and being reborn as a remnant"
Oliver It’s hit or miss on the designs of the DCEU, but I still like a lot of the redesigns of MKX. The default outfits of Mileena and Kitana are some of my favorites now.
for me all the dceu desings except for batman and wonderwoman look like shit specially the joker now for kitana and mileena: i think kitana looks fine, not her best but not her worst, but mileena looks really weird to me first time i saw her i thought it looked fine but then i saw the legwear that was kinda out of place then i saw the mask that didn't look as good as mk9 and then i saw her teeth that made me realise how they competely ruined mileena in favor of fan servise
Oliver I think Netherrealm overhauled a lot of their character designs because some people complained that the characters in MK9 looked too 1990ish. Which I disagree and love MK9’s look. But I’m fine with the newer designs. They look different but still recognizable. Batman looks badass in the DCEU.
I wholeheartedly agree that Raiden should've died after his use of the jinsei because, Dark Raiden did little to nothing in Mortal kombat 11 and had no contribution to the plot, making his inclusion a redundant misoppertunity as well so, there really isn't much reason for Raiden to stick around.
Something I really hated, by the way. In the Dev Streams before the game they teased that there were stories behind some of the variations, and that they'd get explained. And then nothing came of it. Like some don't really need one. Like Reptile doesn't need any, or Sonya. But they teased story reasons behind Kenshi's Possessed and Erron's sword Variation. There's so many missed opportunities there. Like, why does Kenshi have a demon following him around? Is that Baraka's Arm Blade Erron is using, did Erron fight Baraka and take a blade as a trophy? Why does Liu Kang have Yin Yang powers? Why does Kitana have Jades gear? Sub Zero has a variation that let's him use an ice version of Shao Kahns Hammer, did Cyber Sub Zero's Ending kind of happen, is Kahn influencing SZ? Kotal has 3 different god themed variations. Is it three aspects of Kotals divinity or is it him channeling three different gods. Basically Variations could have been an opportunity to build on the background events in the past 25 years, and it's a missed opportunity to never expand on it.
The fatalities in this game are way too long. By the time they happen they've lost most if not all of the impact, and thereby become tedious to watch after the first few viewings. In order to make the X-Rays look cooler, most X-Ray attacks are now pretty much lethal, so to up the stakes they make the Fatalities over-the-top displays of gore and violence. But there is only a certain point at which gore is shocking. For me, MKX goes past that point. There's too much gore to the point of sensory overload. It becomes somewhat meaningless. Like Raiden blowing up a guy's head with lightning after it already being decapitated is pointless. The point of the Fatality is to be the finishing move, by nature. Now it's an exquisite art form of destroying an already dead corpse. The Brutalities in this game are the new fatalities. They're quick, they're actually challenging to pull off (some of them anyway), and they happen in-game as opposed to in a 10-second long cutscene. You feel like you actually did that, and because it happens before the "Finish Him" you don't expect it to happen, thereby making it much more shocking and satisfying to watch.
I found MKX's story to be far better than that of MK9. It wasn't perfect; I think Shinnok was rather forgettable as a villain and some of the next-gen fighters were underdeveloped (like Jacqui for instance) but by and large it was a much better story than MK9 lazily redoing MK1-2-3 in an inferior way.
MKX’s Story isn’t worse just because it’s 4 chapters shorter, 11 only has 12 chapters too, however MK9’s story was better but not because it was longer.
The fatalities were nice, but most of them didn't fit. Heroic characters can kill their enemies, obviously it's MK, but some of them do some crazy unhinged serial killer shit that doesn't fit their personalities at all and just feel like ideas from a white board at NR Studios.
I think you need to replay TLoU Part I because your memory isn't great. Joel was a PoS and knew it and Tess literally says to him that they're "shi**y people." Joel was just as bad, if not worse, than the group that ambushes them in Pittsburgh. If you had zero hesitation killing those people, then what makes you think Joel deserved to live after he killed someone else's father and countless other innocent people? You can sympathise with Joel's choice, but that doesn't mean he wasn't a terrible person and didn't have it coming.
@@Shaved_Apeexactly, that's what's great about both games I feel, a lot of people seemed to romanticize both Joel in 1 and Ellie in 2 for some reason, like, they were pretty much some selfish PoS, yeah they were likeable and well written, but not heroes or anything.
@@Shaved_Ape i think you should replay part 1 also bc when tess says to Joel they are "shit people" he says "they are survivor's" the game is literally about surviving in this world and Joel only kills people how try to kill him or ellie
(I know I'm 8 months late but whatever) His cybernetics have nerves in them. A person can't fight without being able to feel their arms. Like, if you make your arms numb and try to fight someone you're gonna go down very easily
Even if that certain rant is like a few seconds long, I really do agree that the Krypt jump scares is one of the dumbest things NRS has pulled out not related to story or lore. I can't even temp myself to last more than a few seconds in both 2011 and X Krypts because I do not want to be jumpscared by a imp, wolf, or giant spider. I just want to unlock costumes and brutalities (latter of which you have to unlock because even if you know the conditions to perform the brutality, the game will not count it despite performing right conditions unless you unlock that brutality from Jumpscare Krypt then the game can count the conditions activating the brutality). And before someone goes "you are just a wuss that can't handle scary", I will say if you want the Krypt to feel scary just look at Deadly Alliance Krypt. No jumpscares but a eerie bgm plays while screams, creatures growling, and whispers can be hear also. It is scary but done in a much better way and prove you can do a horror like setting without relaying on jumpscares. I will be creeped out by the DA Krypt but I will still be on as long as I like unless I ran out of koins to spend away, hence me finally leaving to collect more koins. But again, I only lasted a few seconds in the 2011 & X Krypts because I do not want to suffer a potential heart attack because a giant spider jumps at me when all I want is to spend content with non-real money.
Following a comentary from bellow about Sub Zero form change I remember that from the komic where Quan Chi *kills him* and resurect him telling "you can't trust in that worthleess tecnology" or something like that, but thats other problem with the chapters per character As a Cyborg we see him defeat Goro and Kintaro at the same time, yes! he mention being a worst version of himselft during his fight with Noob Saibot but that wasn't necesary mean he was weaker because was a discussion about his free will I remember a discussion in a group when that happen and I ask why Jax doesnt get his arms back then if tecnology is so inferior? The answer I get was because he was stronger with them like a obvious answer... But we dont see that! We just play with him when he still has his human arms and has his best fights defeating Shiva, Jade, etc. With his metal arms we see him defeat just some Generic Cyborg Ninja N°123 before die in 1 hit against Sindel! I don't have any prove to see him being stronger with his arms! To the end we know the only reason is because this characters are more popular with his forms because the justifications they give us are bad and not even clear betwen diferent media!
Sub-zero derives his power from a type of spiritual energy. The idea that he'd be less in tune with this energy as a cyborg makes perfect sense. It's literally the source of his power and being a cyborg only makes him physically more powerful when physical power is never what made him dangerous or competent in the first place. Jax however is a brawler and always has been. He derives his power from his physical strength, often symbolized by biceps, and literally symbolized by Jax's arms. That's why his arms are ripped off, it's like samson and delilah. The removal of Jax's arms is meant to have a neutering effect. However, ironically, when Jax receives his new cybernetic arms, his power is both restored and magnified. There's a clear distinction between Jax and cyborg sub-zero from this perspective and it makes perfect sense that Jax keeps his metal arms while Sub-zero is better off back in human form.
I’ll take your word on that since I don’t have much of a history with MK before 9 but if that’s the case, how is Cyborg Zero able to make Ice constructs while Regular isn’t in MK9? I’d heard that the reason Sub-Zero is able to in MKX is because after revival he gets the Dragon Medallion which boosts his cryomancy. But presumably Revenant Zero didn’t have the medallion so what’s going on here?
After rewatching this video again and seeing what they did to Kotal, it does make me sad since he was my favorite new character introduced in this game. That's probably due to the fact in the beginning, he seemed like a lawful good character who cares for his people and tries to be a lot more civil with others and uphold the culture of Outworld but when push comes to shove, Kotal is more than capable of displaying why he is Khan with his unique set of powers differing him from Shao Khan. Sadly that direction was changed as the story went on but here is something they could've done with Kotal is they stuck with his original direction and not sticking to the chapter rules. His introduction can stay relatively the same aside from maybe having grabbed Rain when he tries to drop kick kotal and throws him back to ground level before teleporting back to him just to make him feel appropriately strong given his Khan title. For chapter 4, instead of assuming the next gen group are spies for Milenna and acts smug about Shinnok's amulet, he reacts more seriously like "....I see. The severity of this news will require my full attention. As for you 4, while I abide by the Reiko accords, a punishment is due for ceasing an act of justice". This would make it clear that Kotal is very self aware of not only the danger of what Mileena now has but also making the viewer understand he has no ill will to earthrealm but most uphold the law. Instead of a fight, however, Kung Jin challenges Kotal to a test of Precision with Jin barely winning so they can both show off what they can do while still making Kotal still appear very powerful. For chapter 6, Instead of Kotal flat out saying he doesn't care about the accords and imprisons the next gen group, he still binds them but makes note that as much as he thanks them for ending the civil war he's had with Mileena for years, the danger of letting the amulet out again is something he can't let happen again, making it his duty to hide it to make sure his people don't suffer and to make this an exception to the accords before asking his guards to send the kids back to earthrealm. This direction would make Kotal a much more understandable and compassionate ruler comapred to Shao Khan who is grateful for the help he's given but has the need to make sure great dangers such as shinnok never come to pass. Time passes and with news from D'Vorah taking the amulet coming in and knowing what this means, Kotal decides to take his best soldiers and followers to Earthrealm in order to team up with them instead of invading like in the original. This could lead to the new good khan of outworld and his followers fighting against the corrupted former champions of earthrealm as a nice subversion to what happened in MK9. That's just my take on how to make Kotal better written and now I'm off to bed.
I could also apply to this hypothetical changes you made about Ko’atal K’etz, and I’m calling him that now to not have Kahn as a title as it was a name Shao made it himself because Emperor is the title of Outworld: have Nitara build a faction as well and maybe strike an alliance with the likes of Kotal who happens to have Reptile on his side, same goes with Ermac.
I love this detailed critique of the story. It's so well done, and there is pretty much no where else you can find something of this quality. It only sucks that he hated so many of the gameplay mechanics that I enjoyed, like the fatalities. But to each his own. Good job overall!
Thank you. I'm always conflicted with the gameplay and people's opinions. On one hand, I'd like others to take issue with it so the devs would have to make it better; but on the other, it's good that others can enjoy it. I suppose that's always worth celebrating, right?
The4thSnake Yes. While I did enjoy some of those changes to the mechanics, you did point out things that changed my opinion. Like the X-ray attacks, which should either have more variations or be shorter or both. I also understand your frustration with the story. Like you, I LOVE lore. And MK was amazing because it promised such a deep and interesting world. But now that's ruined. Anyway, I actually just discovered your channel two days ago (because of Sonic) and have been binging ever since. Please keep up the good work.
MKX is good but MK9 holds my heart more. MKX I honestly give a 7.5 or 8/10 while MK9 is a 9/10.. The story in X is absolutely trash and completely full of plot holes and stupidity. The character models are missing something despite looking more detailed and having more polygons and having a grittier color aspect. contrast on last gen games were horrible and it looked like everything had a fog over it. Emblem change was....weird. That made no sense I agree. Fatalities did make characters move wonky. The special dialogue was actually a good move, shows they keep continuity in mind even if some of the dialogues are abit lame. Variations were nice but yeah they ruined some outfits while they did improve others, oddly enough.
I think the main thing that annoys me with some fatalities these days is that the person that's on the receiving end is already dead half the time, so it takes the fun and satisfaction out of giving them the fatal blow. It's called a Fatality yet the person is already dead before the main bit happens.
Fatalities have lost the two most important things that made them so iconic: comedic edge and short length. There’s a reason Scorpion’s Toasty fatality is as legendary as it is. Same with Johnny Cage’s Triple Uppercut or Kano’s Heart Rip. They are quick, impactful and in a lot of cases funny as hell. Modern day fatalities however are drawn out executions that play out more like snuff films then fun ways to style on your opponent. It’s gotten excessive and seems to only be getting worse with MK1
@@NoahDaArk Yeah the fatalities take way too long and overstay their welcome, and again as I said the person on the recieving end is usually dead by the time it's done. It's just not fun watching a corpse getting beat up, because by then it's just lame. MK9 for the most part had it down nearly perfectly and MKX to an extent. Hell even MK Vs DC understood this basic fact, when even the fatalities in THAT game can show a better understanding then you KNOW the new games are doing it wrong.
@@theheavenlyfb4071 Mortal Kombat is the fast food of fighting games. It looks absolutely incredible in passing, but once you get your hands on it it’s nothing like what you expected. Also I fully expect MK1 to struggle with sales, on account of Street Fighter 6 absolutely crushing it when it comes to single player content and accessibility options. SF6 literally has an option to let blind people play it, it’s nuts
For those complaining about the excessive fatals from 11 they toned them down a bit in 1. They're quicker, straight to the point, and aren't as over the top. Not to mention they're real time again so the fatality screen doesn't end with gore.
Mileena getting killed by D'vorah is like what if Samus or Zelda in Smash Bros gets killed by Isabelle from Animal Crossing in the story mode and she never comes back in the roster for the next game. Mileena's been in the story for so long, and to axe her off and not bring her back (especially when REVENANTS are a thing, and Bi-Han sure as hell came back) is a disservice to longtime MK fans, especially Mileena fans. A Revenant Mileena who taunts the good guys and is full of revenge would make sense as a powerful enemy.
D'Vorah also: + killed Jerrod + woke up Daegon early + killed Master Boyd for Shang Tsung + co-wrote the script to Last Jedi + introduced John Lennon to Yoko Ono + etc. (killed the Elder Gods for Kronika, taught Titan Shang Tsung how to traverse timelines, disctracted LiuKang AND Kung Lao before their neck-snaps, faked the moon landing, gave Mileena Tarkat and was the one who called the IEAE for the UN 'inspection' on Mother Base)
Couldn't agree more with new characters. Hell, Erron Black and Ferra/Torr are given no character development at all and after story mode only description i can think for them is - they are Kotal's sidekicks. D'vorah and Kotal have something (since they actually have their own chapters), but it's still little to make me like them. Or care for that matter. While it's interesting to see Liu Kang and Kitana on Nehterrealm side, i feel like Outworld's arc is going absolutely nowhere. Just like this Teen Titans group. Also on a side note, this moment when Sindel tried to step on Jax's hand to make him fall of a cliff was incomprehensible considering Jax has METAL ARMS so he doesn't have nerves and in turn, can't feel pain in his hands. I had to pause for a few minutes to grasp what just happened. Whoever wrote this scene should be fired right away.
I don't think they'd want to reference that sequence. It was even more contrived and nonsensical than Normandy invasion in ME2. I also don't get why Erron has such a fanbase when he screws up in everything he does. In chapter 2 instead of shooting Rain he keeps aim on him for like 10 seconds before Mileena hits him with her sai. In chapter 7 just before the fight he runs with his guns pointing right at Takeda and doesn't shoot him either. In chapter 11 the same thing with earthrealm titans. I played it a while ago, but i don't recall Erron using his guns once in this story mode. Which on top of his nonexistent development makes me question his inclusion. Don't get me wrong, in this new timeline all non-main villains are bland and incompetent cardboard boxes without any goals other than to be evil. Erron just sticks out the most.
He tries to use them when Jin frees the prisoner, but Cassie lightly pushes him and he falls over. He does use them in Chapter 2 to kill tarkatans and I think that's it.
That scene she knocks him down almost immediately so i gave it a pass. Then he makes use of his guns only against some faceless nobodies who don't have a plot armor. Figures. I mean in MK9 Stryker as a policeman made more use of his gun, but Erron is characterized as a scumbag mercenary, so using his guns mostly for show makes him come across as a complete joke. I don't know, it feels like completely different team designed these new characters. They just don't fit into this universe at all.
I understand Jax has metal arms but,if he didn’t have nerves in them how would he move them. And if there are nerves in them wouldn’t he feel pain(please tell me if there’s something about Jax’s arms I don’t know)
"Sonya goes to Jax instead of going to Scorpion" How did I miss that. It can't be right. There must be a reason why she didn't go with Scorpion... right? Right?
I legitimately can't think of a reason. I could joke about her being embarrassed about what happened in the comic, but for a legitimate reason, I have nothing.
I was thinking that she possibly knew that Scorpion would want to kill Quan Chi. But maybe Scorpion didn't know? After all he wants to kill Quan Chi right? I don't know, the flashbacks are a mess.
That COULD work. Sonya: "You know Quan Chi better than anyone." Jax: "What about Scorpion? He was with Quan Chi twice as long as I was." Sonya: "We need Quan Chi alive for Raiden to undo his magic. We can't risk Scorpion giving in to his desire for revenge and killing him before then."
By then we would imply that Sonya also knows that Raiden can help bring back the rest. I think it's a good convo of how it would work though. Good work!
I know Mortal Kombat x wasn't the best with this story but compared to 11 it was a little bit more organized to come off as a decent story. But at least X came off as an amazing fighting game though
It confuses me in mk11 about kotal because he was a villain in mkx even trying to kill the Kombat Kids but in mk11 it’s written as if it NEVER happened and people also forgetting how this guy also tried to kill Raiden before he was evil because that is why he came to earthrealm in the first place
Not only about what you said about the amulet, but they could have also just shot the fucker into space. Another thing about the reboot that frustrates me is the Kamidogu daggers. It is literally impossible for Raiden's "He must win." to have affected the Kamidogu whatsoever. They really should've just done a hard reboot, ignore Armageddon, hit the ground and run. And yeah, D'vorah is 100% Mary Sue. She *needs* to get completely obliterated in the most gory fashion possible in the next game, or it'll just be confirmed that she's basically the Poochie of Mortal Kombat. Still no reason why they couldn't have just shot Shinnok's amulet into space immediately, thereby completely fucking Quan Chi's plans. Hell, shoot it straight into a black hole. That'll solve it. Fuck off D'vorak.
Imagine if Neatherrealm designed the original Mortal Kombat. Only Liu Kang, Johnny Cage, and Sonya would be playable initially. You'd have to unlock the other four characters.
The4thSnake I noticed them even before by doing a movelist walkthrough. Some moves are lame and funny but I'll be honest alot of moves are good and well executed. I am currently studying animation at the moment. The biggest flow with their characters is that the characters have the bad center of gravity into them which resulted most of them flapping their limps like puppets. Sorry english is not my mothertongue. I enjoyed ur vid👆
@@The4thSnake Yep; the Kriss specifically has to kill a demon to purify the user, so it wouldn't help the revenants. Shame, they could've put her in the game as somebody to fight to prevent her from doing that and include some shit about true purity coming from within.
i know i’m like 3 years late but i’ve had this same thought since i learned about the mkx story and the revenants, but they could’ve easily made it so the kriss sword cleanses demons and corrupted beings but in doing so corrupts the user; somewhat using a flip flop effect where the victims are purified and the user is corrupted due to the corruption of the victims. they could’ve made ashrah a cool hero who is saving the revenants yet she herself is becoming a bad person due to the kriss’s corruption magic, possibly having to get snapped out of it by sarenna, who is a demon and who also knows what it’s like to be corrupted/brain washed
I wish they at least made the QTE's like the first Injustice where it'd give you some kinda effect in the fight, like less health for you or your opponent
While I personally considered Arc System Work to be the king of fighting game stories, MK would be a decently close second. Seeing the writing quality drop with each game hurts a great deal.
While I disagree with many of your opinions, especially concerning certain aspects of the game's visual designs, this was pretty accurate and entertaining. Well done, sire.
Imagine that; a decent ruler of Outworld.. like a King instead of a tyrant, or Queen of course. Come to think of it, Outworld seems like an inherently wicked domain. There are decent folks there, like Bo' Rai Cho, Li Mei and their people, but for the most part, it's just mutants, creatures, monsters and warlords. Even the 'rebellion' is about so-called rightful heirs, but lacks any real moral component. Kinda odd, since most of the inhabitants of the capitol are humans who look and act like they're decent people. So why would they put up with one immoral tyrant, and then another, and then yet another unjust, incompetent ruler? You'd think that an actual, real rebellion would have ignited after Shao Kahn's demise. It's not even a conflict between factions emerging after a power vacuum, rather; it's either going to be Mileena or Kotal Kahn. Why wouldn't the Shokan and Centaurs get involved? Ignoring the comics now. Why would the people who have been subjugated by Shao Kahn accept Mileena as the next ruler, when she only arrived on the scene during the events of MK(2011)? Actually, now that I think of it: shouldn't the original timeline Mileena exist in the alternate timeline just the same, since in the original timeline she had been created when Kitana was still young?? And I was always under the impression that Shao Kahn's main force was comprised of the Tarkatans; a vicious race of warriors. Yet, they never produced a worthy fighter other than Baraka, and the entire race never actually does anything significant in any MK game. In MKX, they're basically replaced by the Osh-Tekk, who are just redconned into the lore, but apparently, they are numerous and powerful enough to take control and dominate over Tarkata, Centaur, Shokan, and human Outworlders. They're not even interesting, they're just there so that Kotal Kahn doesn't seem completely out of place; now he has his own race and a bit of a backstory, but it's all just flimsical, really. Then there's the introduction of two more new races that nobody's ever heard of: the Kytinn, and whatever Ferra/Torr is. You know, I wouldn't mind it at all if they'd just ignore everything they did so far, and just do a reboot, with a different interpretation; one that is more coherent and true to the original MK universe. I think they lack good writers, and you said something in your video that really struck me; that you've been a fan of Mortal Kombat longer than half the team that's currently working on the game. That's probably true.
Y'know, it's funny, the non-canon default costumes were clearly a "we think our fans are stupid" move not trusting them to accept Evil Lui Kang as the standard, but then the next game advertises Evil Raiden and Evil Lui Kang as the standard... then undoes it at the soonest opportunity? How dumb do they think we are that we can't have any morality changes?
I think that the non-canon default costumes for Liu Kang, Kung Lao and Kitana were there for a fun ¨what if¨ scenario, since they probably would've restored those three if they didn't trust the fans to accept their evil versions. But yeah, it was really stupid that MKX advertised to have this big battle between Dark Raiden and Dark Emperor Liu Kang in the end scene, but decide to bring back their MKII versions that are friends with each other and erase Dark Raiden.
Why the hell do people not remember that it's established that Gods are weak to Shadow Energy and that the Cages were bred by the Gods to use it as an Anti-Shinnok measure?
Midway Quan Chi: *Is rather powerful in sorcerry, but still has a limited skill set. Needs Shang's help when it comes to Necromancy and ressurective magic* NRS Quan Chi: *LOL Wraiths, Revenants, Spectres, regular ressurection but with evil mind control, etc. is already on his basic resume.* As much as it sucks, when you step back and look at it, it's absolutely hilarious! In a sad way... LOL
This video made me notice something for the first time, I hate nrs version of outworld. Where's the portals? Where's the crazy looking voids? Outworld used to have the most amazing design out of all of the realms in the midway games, mk 2's portal stage with the dark priests, Shaolin monks depiction, deception was especially amazing at showcasing the realms, all amazing examples of how outworld is supposed to look.
I will say I do love Erron Black and Ferra/Torr because like Kung Jin there is some originality with Black taking the archetype of the western outlaw (bias one of my favorites) and Ferra/Torr being a two in one character which was last seen in MK Deception with Noob and Smoke, (plus I like playing as big tank guys. in video games so bias again) Mainly bias but do like the aesthetic look and attitude each character gives even though they were made 1 dimensional.
Man, Movie Night at the Cage House actually sounds like a really cool side story to fit in the guest characters! That could even work for the dumpster fire that is MK11! Start with Johnny talking about his rivalry with Arnold and Stallone, leading to fighting Terminator and Rambo with Ninja Mime Johnny, then have Cassie bring up the cameo he did for Robocop 3 and have Johnny be all ashamed before going to the Robocop fight, then have Johnny talk about the superhero films he's starred in leading to fights with Spawn and Joker
I like Snake but his approach to crossovers has always been so wank Making it work in the lore? Cool I guess but what a way to make their inclusions mean fuck all They don't get to exist in the setting, he restricts them to bullshit in-lore fiction stuff it's such a waste
Honestly I think Triborg is such a cool character. I hope he sticks around and forms the new Tekunin. But I don't think they should've added 4 guest characters instead of 1 or 2 and the rest be older characters. Jason I think should still stay and Freddy should've been brought back. But characters like Rain, Baraka, Sindel, Fujin, Nightwolf, Stryker, Kabal, Jade, Frost, and Skarlet should've been brought back. Especially the ones who died as revenants in MK9. They should've gotten old character models like Kung Lao, Liu Kang, and Kitana. The ones I wanted to see the most were Rain, Baraka, Fujin, Nightwolf, Frost, and Kabal. Hell Rain is already developed as a fighter, there is no reason he shouldn't have been included even as DLC.
MKX was my first EVER Mortal Kombat game. if your confused about the story and how it makes no sense imagine how me and probably thousands of others felt when while playing through this story
Your Noob Saibot idea is awesome, def better than what they did. It would also make the Scorp/Sub reconciliation even stronger as a scene. I always thought they should have done a DLC with the comic story. Reiko could have a Kahn variation, klassic variation and a "true blood god" variation. Also, you can't tell me that Takeda wasn't originally supposed to be Mavado. His playstyle is exactly what Mavado would have been in MK X, and Mavado is in the comic. I bet he was replaced.
Ah YES the good-hearted Cassie who spared Mileena(one of the most evil villain) but...she totally kill Mavado and Hsu Hao in a gruesome way in the comics.

The idea of Bi Han being purified after being sucked by the soulnado and purified by the Elder Gods instead of following the path of a jobber the Netherrealm has put him on makes me want to weep.
Even if he would still a jobber,I would prefer he keeping with his mk9 "We share blood,we are not brothers." Than the mk11 "YOOOOU DAAARE TO CHAAALENGE DEAPH???" Bullshit
Aesthetically he is perfect on mk11,but his voice and edgy personality are just so stupid
And there was a good idea people have mentioned for MK11. Have Bi Han kill Hanzo, and take past Scorpion's role in the story. Go to help the heroes and have to convince them he's on their side.
Ah, okay, thanks for clearing that up.

That "Power of Love" crap completely broke my emersion because Cage has had the glow since the first Mortal Kombat. Unless you're going to tell me that he's not glimmering whenever he uses it.
Yeah, i just thought that was his”special effects” not “love power” its sad mk did that, how could they, for an adult game, stup so low
It's almos if they gave Sonya glowing pink armor or Jax's glowing purple armor.
@@ahmedal-kaales5847 then he got his wheelchair and turned into something beyond an elder god.

Skipping fights in a game all about fighting
Makes sense
I mean, with gameplay this bad, it's really a blessing. ;)
The4thSnake it gets a little picky you’re looking for things mate.
@@The4thSnake the pro scene says otherwise, youre just bad
Got to sell those micro-transactions, right?
I think you hit the nail on the head here.
Damn spot-on
Things change over time and no one can predict the success or failure of a game.

I think the reason many people liked Erron was the same reason the Star Wars fan base fell for Boba Fett.... The potential of such a character or drawing a simularity between the two.
Corrections and Clarifications:
-The round system is the traditional one.

I'm still salty that Jade isn't a playable character. And no, the mobile game doesn't count. I refuse to play it.
Proctor-X-Guru apparently her mk9 ending is canon somewhat.
if you actually do some research you'll find that barley anyone played jade in mk9 you may have liked seeing her there, but she was just wasted space
I don't mind Jade omission. I played UMK 3 when it was new and developed hatred towards this character.
AntiPattern Deception is my fav as well!
Sometimes I wish Netherrealm never got their hands on MK, they should've let the franchise rest with Midway, Armageddon would've been a good ending to the franchise.

I would like to point out that the reason subzero was turned human again because Quan chi stated that subzero was actually weaker as a cyborg and turned him back
When was this? Is it pre-fight dialogue? I can't accept that he's stronger as a human than as a cyborg, regardless of what the devs might think.
The4thSnake it was in comic if memory serves but at the very least they did give a reason. As to
Wether or not a cyborg is better than a human is a topic for debate.

Oliver It’s hit or miss on the designs of the DCEU, but I still like a lot of the redesigns of MKX. The default outfits of Mileena and Kitana are some of my favorites now.
for me all the dceu desings except for batman and wonderwoman look like shit specially the joker
now for kitana and mileena: i think kitana looks fine, not her best but not her worst, but mileena looks really weird to me
first time i saw her i thought it looked fine but then i saw the legwear that was kinda out of place
then i saw the mask that didn't look as good as mk9 and then i saw her teeth that made me realise how they competely ruined mileena in favor of fan servise
Oliver I think Netherrealm overhauled a lot of their character designs because some people complained that the characters in MK9 looked too 1990ish. Which I disagree and love MK9’s look. But I’m fine with the newer designs. They look different but still recognizable. Batman looks badass in the DCEU.
@@Memento_mori2222 Nah Batman's DCEU suit looks stupid.
Listen, why is no one appreciating the CLEAN AF transition between Kitana and Revenant Kitana at 4:28
I wholeheartedly agree that Raiden should've died after his use of the jinsei because, Dark Raiden did little to nothing in Mortal kombat 11 and had no contribution to the plot, making his inclusion a redundant misoppertunity as well so, there really isn't much reason for Raiden to stick around.
I think the fatalities were pretty entertaining. The story was such a disappointment after 2011
And much shorter.

Can we all sit down and discuss the fact Netherrealm studios doesn't know the difference between spectres, revenants, and wraiths.
Following a comentary from bellow about Sub Zero form change I remember that from the komic where Quan Chi *kills him* and resurect him telling "you can't trust in that worthleess tecnology" or something like that, but thats other problem with the chapters per character
As a Cyborg we see him defeat Goro and Kintaro at the same time, yes! he mention being a worst version of himselft during his fight with Noob Saibot but that wasn't necesary mean he was weaker because was a discussion about his free will
I remember a discussion in a group when that happen and I ask why Jax doesnt get his arms back then if tecnology is so inferior?

The4thSnake mk 9 and x are better than all other mk games except deception
@@NoahDaArk i think that the fatalities are a lot better in 1. they at least feel as though they aren’t dragged out and too over the top.

D'Vorah also:
+ killed Jerrod
+ woke up Daegon early
+ killed Master Boyd for Shang Tsung
+ co-wrote the script to Last Jedi
+ introduced John Lennon to Yoko Ono
+ etc.
Damn, I didn't think of that one. Yeah, that's dumb. She should have tried to stab his throat again or something.
And if there are nerves in them wouldn’t he feel pain(please tell me if there’s something about Jax’s arms I don’t know)
I legitimately love the movie night idea to have the horror characters.
Johnny: Has same powers he did from mk9 even in the story mode
Johnny: "I don't know what just happenes"
"Sonya goes to Jax instead of going to Scorpion"
How did I miss that.
Sonya: "You know Quan Chi better than anyone."
Jax: "What about Scorpion? He was with Quan Chi twice as long as I was."
Sonya: "We need Quan Chi alive for Raiden to undo his magic. We can't risk Scorpion giving in to his desire for revenge and killing him before then."
By then we would imply that Sonya also knows that Raiden can help bring back the rest. I think it's a good convo of how it would work though. Good work!
Thanks.

At this point, MK is starting to fell more like a 90s Saturday morning cartoon.

I don't think she purifies people by using it. I think it only purifies the user.
@@omarslayz Yeah you’d make her a tragic character who saved the revenants at the cost of turning evil herself
I wish they at least made the QTE's like the first Injustice where it'd give you some kinda effect in the fight, like less health for you or your opponent
“I hope your office burns down with no one in it!”
That’s... considerate.
While I personally considered Arc System Work to be the king of fighting game stories, MK would be a decently close second.
Seeing the writing quality drop with each game hurts a great deal.

Correction on the gameplay section, MKX uses a round base system that resets the bars each round as oppose to Injustice's two health bars.
Really? I could have sworn it was the Injustice style.
Injustice has two heathbars similar to Darkstalkers and Killer Instinct while MKX uses a round base system in which the healthbars reset each round.
The4thSnake no it always stayed classic rounds only injustice has that mechanic.
Galactic Specter
Depends on the Darkstslkers game.
The first 2 had SF round systems and the third had multiple health bars with resets to neutral.
Yeah, I know. I was meant to say Vampire Savior
When nrs allows you to skip fights
"If we can win by doing nothing, then we'll do nothing."
While I disagree with many of your opinions, especially concerning certain aspects of the game's visual designs, this was pretty accurate and entertaining. Well done, sire.
Sire? Am I the new emperor of Outworld?
If it pleases thee..
To be fair, I think I'd be a better choice than any previous candidate we've seen.
If that had been the twist, that there were two Mileenas, that could ahve been interesting. MKX Mileena, the more mature of the two, is the original.
the amount of comments trying to defend this fucked up story is astonishing
I can't wait til you shred MK 11.
Whoa i'm only 3 minutes in but it already presents itself like a really in-depth review. Oh this is gonna be fun!
If he had known how bad it would get when he made this, this video would be an appraisal instead of a critique
I love how mkx became a cartoon show where the villain is defeated by flashbacks and the power of love
Kahn of Outworld, defeated by a shaolin reject.
The Good thing about this story is the fact that Quan Chi got beaten up trough all the game
Best part of the game: The fight scene choreography.
Worst part of the game: Everything else.
Why the hell do people not remember that it's established that Gods are weak to Shadow Energy and that the Cages were bred by the Gods to use it as an Anti-Shinnok measure?
I love watching your videos so I can laugh at you going off on one of your aggresive tangents 😂 The colourful language makes it even better
Johnny Cage being in WWE Immortals? I guess John Cena is canon to Mortal Kombat lore then...
Midway Quan Chi: *Is rather powerful in sorcerry, but still has a limited skill set. Needs Shang's help when it comes to Necromancy and ressurective magic*
NRS Quan Chi: *LOL Wraiths, Revenants, Spectres, regular ressurection but with evil mind control, etc. is already on his basic resume.*
As much as it sucks, when you step back and look at it, it's absolutely hilarious! In a sad way... LOL
Nope. What he cannot do is graft souls sincere soul stealing is Shang 's talent. Necromancy with should that are in the Netherralm? That' s fair game.
True. Nrs Version og Outworld looks like a desert
I like Snake but his approach to crossovers has always been so wank
Making it work in the lore? Cool I guess but what a way to make their inclusions mean fuck all
They don't get to exist in the setting, he restricts them to bullshit in-lore fiction stuff it's such a waste
Underrated comment right here fr. 100% agree with everything
Yeah the jumpscares were the reason why I didn’t use the krypt in MKX
Rain was always a favorite of mine. I like the way he plays and the fact that he's just a petty little shite of a demigod.

"Refuse to fucking show"
THANK YOU SINCERELY THANK YOU
Ah YES the good-hearted Cassie who spared Mileena(one of the most evil villain) but...she totally kill Mavado and Hsu Hao in a gruesome way in the comics.
Strange Dominus she didn’t kill hsu Hao scorpion did
i dont know why i bust shit : "skip fights and get a flawless for doing so"
This is my third time watching from beginning to end... and just now did I realize that Chapter 11 joke, lmao!
Nice one!
Cassie’s hairstyle is for when she might need to bring in the gawk gawk for the emperor
The reptile spit being washed out with water is possibly a tie in to what you do when a king cobra spits in your face which also can cause permanent blindness.
Acid and venom are two different things. Adding water to acid causes an exothermic reaction meaning it will boil on your face and splash the acid around.

I started watching your critiques of these games ready to hate em since I really dig the new games and didn't put much thought into the story mode, but DANG you made some good points. I still like the new games but certain bits are going to really stick out now (I'm always gonna want that reformed champion Noob Saibot)
"I hope your office's burn down with no one in it"
Nice save, buddy.
This reached 1mill 🎅🍷
God I wish NRS fires their writers and get people who know how to write a story.
They're the best game developers right now sol
Me seeing D'vorah for the first time: bug lady? Damn that's an amazing character.i love how she looks and get lieutenant role
Me after story mode: yeah.... She can burn for all I care.
I know this comment is old, but I fucking hate her. She killed a character that had more potential than her just to set up her 42nd betrayal of the game
With a giant magnifying glass?
