Man, I'm glad you were here to explain that one, Memory, 'cause I wasn't sure how to! All I knew was that "rubber-banding" was _hardly_ what this game does! (The original _Super Mario Kart,_ on the other hand…)
When this came out, I used to remember being so disappointed with this game after playing F-Zero X before realizing years later that this is based on the mechanics of the original on the SNES...
idk, like, it should be more like F-Zero X! Back then, people were hyped that the GBA can do 3D and that it's a 32-Bit machine, you woulda thought that Nintendo would make something as cool as F-Zero X. At least the music is good but quite as good as X.
I loved this version since it was more like the original, besides- they eventually made a version that was character based like F zero X, was probably the plan all along
I was disappointed just because there wasn't captain falcon - and because I played f zero gx, that is still today the best racing game ever. But F Zero gp legend and climax were interesting. Of course maximum velocity also is a great game, but it had some outdated mechanics (I remember that this jet vermillion could be unlocked using a secret code that I found in a book! And indeed it was almost unusable, too hard to handle)
This is insane! Very comparable to a Sonic speedrun, so impressively fast. The graphics are so good in this game too, they made good use of the color palette and did a great job giving a good variety of tiles to make up the background layer.
I get that it is F-Zero, but there's something about this that doesn't feel very F-Zero. Even the BSX version of F-Zero, with the zany redesigned cars, still looks more like F-Zero. And I think I know why?
Man, the rubber-banding in this game is insane. No matter the speed or the trick the TAS does, there’s always a ship right behind you.
So basically if an AI goes out of range, the game SPAWNS another one right behind you. That's why there's somebody constantly behind the ship.

@@MemoryTAS Wow, so it's even worst than rubber-banding. 😆
@@JoLiKMC the real rubberbanding is NFS Underground 1
@@MemoryTAS So basically, "The Computer is a Cheating Prick: The Game"?
F zero is so much hard to drift and make shortcut-
TAS: HAHA JET GO BRRRRRRR
This TAS goes to show you that the cpu is a cheating s.o.b. No matter how fast you go, it's always just behind you!
As usual with Nintendo racing games, CPU characters are cheating bastards
This was the same case in the original F-Zero and F-Zero GP legend at the hardest difficulty, It's unclear if this also happens in F-zero Climax.
F-Zero TASes look like extremely skilled players doing stuff others couldn't.

This was and probably is my fav racing games of all time
Love the Beacon Port music. Glad this is playable on the Wii U.
Man. It was wild watching you do the Ancient Mesa track. You kept getting faster and faster lap times without any effort
Hell yeah. Go fast.
Ego orrrrrb

how it feels to run while carrying a really heavy backpack
I wish i could have a Gameboy Advance just to play F-ZERO Maximum Velocity
素晴らしい競走ゲーム😊
Really would love to see the other leagues TASed
hey, this was published on my birthday! cool!
They see me snakin', they hatin'
Why does Knight 2 sound an awful lot like the Marble Madness theme music?!
I wonder how an F-Zero GP Legend or F-Zero Climax Grand Prix TAS will look like?

The near-lack of recognizable environments (Fire Field and Silence aside) from the previous titles, I suppose...?
If I remember correctly, this takes place years after the first runs of F-Zero championships.
@@Diddy64wii Also, pixel crunch. The vehicles don't exactly look lively.
Probably the vehicles in this one look like not F zeroish, alsp after GX, the sense of speed is lacking
Love this game so much, the original and GX are the best. The others are ok too
Be careful! If the power level reaches 0, you will explode!
Everyone knows that
Very nice :D
Although no I want to see a wipeout TAS ^^
Was there an F Zero on the DS
No, the last one was Japan only GP Legend for GBA
*Climax
Why is the mini map gone? >:(
Watch at 60 FPS, it uses a transparency effect that doesn't work at 30
