Great vid. Just want to say I appreciate your philosophy towards car repair as well as your consideration for the consequences of the hobby (environmental concerns etc). In my country 'car guys' can have a pretty bad rep amongst the general population, some of which is deserved tbh, so it's refreshing to see someone on this platform with a positive and thoughtful mindset.
Mother nature always seems to have other ideas when we need to work outside 🙄
Great! Exactly what we amateurs want to see - detailed processes of repair. Its so annoying when one is left with "- and here is how it ended up". Thanks again for letting us in on the process.

in for similar repairs, and i dont have a welder or bending machine
but it will get done, ,i know a guy locally who can do this !
Thanks for taking the time to video this. I have a car in the garage that I took off the road in 2006 because it needs some welding. Its all stripped down but I've never done welding before and I bottled out. This is helping me think about getting down to it.

It has rained every day here except last Monday when i finished doing the clutch in my cinquecento. All was well until I filled the gearbox 😢 oil leaking badly from the flange between driveshaft and gearbox... need a new one and they can't be bought 😭
Have to try and find second hand, be nice if other fiat models are the same part, i don't know.

One of those repairs that is a utilitarian fix, may not be perfect, but it does the job it needs to, probably could have done far worse to fill the holes though, like packing it with copious amounts of body filler... :P
Great job, on an old vehicle that isnt a classic, I would much rather see the welding through the paint as a badge of honour and to show that is done right. I bet that most people that can't weld or have no welder would too! Nice welding skills, you made it much easier on yourseld by cutting back to good metal, failing to do this is most peoples first mistake😃!
