    Living in the U.S., these are rare, but can be found. My neighbor was a Citroen trained mechanic and was responsible for teaching a good many enthusiasts on how to maintain and make repairs. It's sad that he passed before creating videos of this caliber and passing on the knowledge. Thank you for creating this most informative video.

    So satisfying seeing this small, simple engine come together. Very good editing too..

      More like a Danish old school Hubnut! But with much better cars in his fleet and some actual spannering going on!

    I appreciate that you had to condense a lot of information during the reassembly steps, but I wish it didn't have such a supercut feel to it. I really enjoy watching your videos and the slow pace and wealth of information they contain. As I mentioned earlier, you're the mechanic version of Søren Ryge to me, and one of my favourite wind-down drugs.
    Ofcourse, you need to cater to your viewers, and I reckon not many would want to see you spend 15 minutes fitting seals and tightening screws, but there are some of us out there! 😅
    Keep up the great work Seppo.

    Are you kidding? ...the inlet- and exhaust manifold are one?! That’s a wicked design. The air/fuel mixture will be heated up.
    With the knowledge of today you would make two separate manifolds. And I would give it a try by doing some tube welding and/or 3D printing (intake side only).

      @theblackhand6485 That is actually quite common in a lot of cars from the era, for example the a-Series engine fitted to a lot of British cars :)

    Good news! My car is back on the road! And I have found a new wing, which is very cheap... I mean really cheap and what is even better is it is the same colour as my car. So no need to paint it will bolt straight on and look fantastic again!

    I think you should set the valve clearances with a warm engine on this type, not cold.

    • @SeasideGarage
      @SeasideGarage  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      On hot it would be different clearances... It's advised to do on cold engine on 2cv

    If the final engine is a combination of several parts engines would that make it a hybrid?
    Might make tax a bit cheaper

    • @DadGamingLtd
      @DadGamingLtd หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It's already a hybrid, it burns both gasoline and oil...

    What a shame it has cowlings to cover the fins, such a nice looking engine otherwise 😊

    • @SeasideGarage
      @SeasideGarage  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yea... But they are important for air flow/cooling !

    • @stashedawayman1521
      @stashedawayman1521 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Obviously you never had a Lambretta scooter and took the cowling off the cylinder head. If you do the fins get full of oil and dirt/grit from the roads so the cooling from the fins on the magnetto is nill. The next thing you have is a totally seized engine.
