@@stark1758 I recommend a big prop/ tricycle plane with long moments for good/realistic flight behavior. Tricycle so you can see the runway easily for ground handling. Prop plane so there’s sufficient flight time to get acclimated to FPV flying before attempting to land the plane on the first flights.
Does the direction your head/goggles is /are facing when you power everthing up determine the camera's forward position? How do you get the camera to face forward when your head is facing forward, regardless of your actual orientation relative to the aircraft?
There’s a center button on the head-tracker. Always recenter - zeroing out the tracker signal before activating the gimbal before flight. Then after flight is finished, always deactivate the gimbal before taking the goggles off your head. It’s part of a pre-flight and post-flight checklist to ensure successful flight and equipment longevity🙂

Why not just tap a 6S lipo to power the air unit directly? I have never considered using a UBEC to power my air unit. Usually i just use a UBEC to power an Arduino Arm circuit to make the air unit go into high power mode, increasing its power consumption from 10 to 13W. Personally I never fly FPV without a separate battery now. I use a 1500mAh 3S pack for my receiver and FPV gear with a UBEC for the reciever, and my air unit is powered directly from the 3S battery.
Having a separate controls power battery saved my Freewing F-22 once, when the terribly made BenchCraft EC5 2 to 1 Series Adapter melted apart after 3 minutes of full throttle on 8S. It went dead stick but I still had FPV and control, and landed. Never use that blue box peice of junk Motion RC sells to make two packs into one. Always use a wired Series connector. Inside the Benchcraft peice of garbage is a 12GA wire soldered sideways onto the thin edges of the connector cups. It should have 8 to 10 GA inserted into the cups and filled with solder. They built it to fail.
Sure the O3 air unit is capable of handling 6S. But I used the 12V UBEC to power the OG Air unit which was limited to 2S~4S voltage and never had any issues. And since the 12V UBEC only weighs 5 grams, I much prefer the weight savings this way vs carrying a separate 3S battery to power the air unit and worrying about the state of charge on the separate battery. The Arduino Arm circuit is a nice add.

Hi pilots, I have a question,You guys use the magnetometer? because my head tracker some times starts drifting and I’m thinking on turning it off and try only with the sensors any advice?
@@ronygarcia8079 which firmware version are you using? If you are using V2.21, it WILL drift. We use V2.13 and the magnetometer to make sure it does not drift over time. If you are using the correct firmware. Make sure you do make magnetometer calibration properly.
@@motionsic thanks for the info, and by the way I just received my ARMS and mounted on my Futura just waiting for the maiden it looks awesome 😎
I’m using V2.2 😅
@@ronygarcia8079 V2.2 is the root of the problem😂

Yall see the video I did on my 64mm f14 build featuring the BAG with full pan and tilt in the cockpit?
@@spidersugar_fpv I just saw the whole video. Very informative and engaging. I thought the cockpit of the 64mm F-14 would be too tight with the landing gear-well underneath. You’re the man and pulled it off. One suggestion, trim down the foam instrument panel and put a photo printout of real F-14 instrument over it. You can make a lot more awesome content with the F-14 Tomcat - the sexiest plane ever!
@motionsic sadly I don't have a 3d printer, but I do have an osd screen I'm going to put in there (displays iNav osd basic elements on oled) to spice it up a bit XD, also thanks for watching xoxo yall rule!
Is it possible to use htc vision vr googles? They already got head tracking built in.
@@mich_kub2219 The short answer is no. The main problem comes from the video transmission. What’s going to be sending video to your HTC VR goggles?
@motionsic True... Well maybe DJI is making a device to receive the video signal and convert it to a display port signal one day. That would be nice. But thanks for the answer.
what kind of servo tester? Thanks
ToolkitRC ST8 Advanced Multi-Servo Tester
Why isn't that stereoscopic camera with 3D goggle?
@@dokkiro would be too bulky for the cockpit with two cameras human eye distance apart, right?
@@motionsic .... No.... I've seen a RC fighter jet in stereoscopic 3D video on TH-cam before. They installed stereo cameras on pilots head. You can even see his hands on the control. This must have been more than a decade ago..
what does the UBEC do?
Supply 12V power from 6S bats
@@motionsic OK I didnt understand it until I watched a few videos. I get it now. Looking forward to getting the sight, and the gimbal soon
how do the reflactor hud work?
Collimating reflector sight with parallax free reticle. No telemetry information displayed.
What Rc plane is this?
Freewing Zeus 90mm EDF jet. Looks a bit like F-20
I just want to be able to BUY a RTF FPV airplane or heli as easily as I can buy a FPV Drone.
Whoever makes that, and allows you to choose from models of the F22, F35, F16, F18 or any other popular fighter, will be RICH.
Understand your yearning. But those would be difficult for a FPV noob to fly successfully. And if too easily achievable, you bet an idiot would fly it into a building somewhere and ruin the hobby for everyone. So not sure any manufacturer/vendor would want that kind of liability. The riches you mentioned could easily be lost in lawsuits….
@@motionsic There are already laws against RC and Drone aircraft. If someone buys them and misuses them,, they are at fault. Not the company that made them.
is it usd?
@@IanChen-m1o yes.
Sooo.. after all.. Let say I have nothing of all. No RC plan, no DJI goggles, cam, gimbal.. etc... how much would it cost to build up the whole system new. All together?
$2500

Now we just need eye tracking for AR telemetry and control systems
Can't it be cheaper?
How much to build me one? lol
