    Very nice piece. I appreciate your edit style on this video. Adding your notes in text is helpful. I'll always like voice commentary the best, but sometimes it's so straightforward no talking is necessary.

    That's cool! I was looking for the cake that you baked in the final pix! Thanks for sharing!
    Take care, Dave

    Nice simple design. I'm currently making one these myself and needed ideas for the pedestal so I did a search here on TH-cam and your video was suggested. Glad I found it because it helped.
    Couple questions: what wood type is this and what do you suggest for finish?
    Thanks for sharing, Stuart

      Thank you Stuart, glad the video helped.... Wood is steamed Beech, and for the finish,I use the same like on bowls, as some might cut the cake direct on wood or if not it will still get washed. So use same stuff like on bowls,just make sure clients know that they need to mainteined oil a bit

    + Style points for putting the blank on the screw chuck while it's spinning. I could never!

    • @tomislavtomasicwoodturning
      @tomislavtomasicwoodturning  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@tomislavtomasicwoodturningnicely done! I like the simplicity of the design. Eyes will focus on the cake more than the stand. That will promote more orders from cake bakers!
