I absolutely love the bowl. That is the most incredible wood I’ve seen. I’d polish a length up and hang it on a wall it looks just like a country scene in the middle of summer over here lol. Fantastic job again there is no end to your talent Lenore’s gold sets it off too. Great job Lenore. Cheers 🇦🇺
@@johnswettenham4560 -4 Celsius this morning, a lot colder than I like for workshop or motorbike to work! What’s weather like there? Fortunately my London office has heating issues, so working from home for now. Christmas and New Year were lovely! Yours? More recently started my newest tattoo, half done currently, around the one of my mother on my left arm 😁👍
Love the bowl. I understand what you’re saying about the size and location of the feet. They strike me as about 1/3 too large. Just my opinion though. I’m sure others are going to say they are perfect. Lenore’s gilding is gorgeous as usual. Thank you for sharing it.
Someone won’t be able to resist them 😏 Has always staggered me the vast variety of opinion of customers as to what they favour. But as always Doug, hope you enjoyed the watch and see you soon 🤗❤️
Hi Richard. I consider you more like an artist than a woodworker! Absolutely stunning. Let me not go into the balls things here, but just admire your work! :-) On second thought, you might have heard this story about a man being examined by his GP and got this news that he had actually three balls. Being extremely proud of it, on his way back to home he was sitting next to another man on the train and couldn’t help himself starting a conversation on his unique feature. He spoke quietly to the man next to him saying: “You know, together we have 5 balls!” . The man looked pitiful at him and said: “I’m sorry to hear you have only one, sir!”. Keep on turning, Richard, talk soon!__ Frank
🤣🤣🤣🤣 Frank! I had to read that twice! That was me that was on the bus with the three balls and couldn’t add up! I mean, I don’t know if you heard in the video, but I can’t remember the name of my drill stand or pillar drill or whatever you wanna call it 🤣🤣🤣
This is the first time ive seen your work ,and ive got to say i am realy impressed with your work and i will be watching you a lot more. Its the first time I've ever seen this timber and it is lovely and the finished bowl is ACE . See you soon
Welcome aboard Dave. It’s a stunning wood to work with, the grain is lovely, ooo, check this one out (same wood): th-cam.com/video/eEwYIcyvF18/w-d-xo.htmlsi=5tpbBAfF-XlINX1_ Lots of videos to come, been having a bit of a break from the filming and editing, but more videos to follow for your viewing pleasure in the near future 🤗👍
It’s the amazing footage of Lenore’s first feel and see at the end that gets me, even now if I watch it back 🤣🤣👍 This one I like too: th-cam.com/video/NumObi_4024/w-d-xo.htmlsi=tQUY49zQyPCRfqQC
Oh my, that wood is wonderful; I think I wrote something similar about the previous one, but I don't think I would have had the b...s, (I meant vision), to glue them all together to hide most of it, but, somehow, it results in bringing out the best of it! I love the bowl, the pointy bit underneath ... but may I be as bold as to suggest that your machismo may have influenced the size of the balls? I think maybe 'less is more' in this case? I hadn't thought of the idea of gluing on pieces to make the original tenon wider - great tip. Thought provoking ... you always 'push the boundaries' ... challenge yourself and us ... Great entertainment!!
What a shame you couldn’t core that blank once or twice!! Such an incredible wood. Hate to waste it! Also you could have done probably 6 bowls from boards (economy bowl, whatever you prefer to call them). That being said, what you came up with is brilliant! Thanks for sharing!!
Hi Scott, I hear you and agree, I’ve been considering a coring system for a LONG time now. There’s been several pieces I’ve had the pleasure of turning that could have been cores and made a lovely set and not waste wood. One day ☺️👍
One of the kind 😊beautiful
Thank you! I think so too ☺️👍👍👍
A absolutely stunning. Such a beautiful contrast and patterning. Love the design and your melons .
Such a lovely set! 🤣👍
Love it Richard! Very original!
Thank you Mr Brailsford. The balls could have been a bit bigger and a bit rounder, but it was a first for me, room for improvement certainly ☺️👍☺️
Oh my goodness how exciting gilding and balls and bowls…..!!!!
Did you watch it all yet?
Beautiful
Thank you Mrs Muir! There’s some funny bits in it if you watch it all the way through 😉 🤗 ❤️
@@Alien937odd place to put your comment, but thanks mate 🤗

You should! If you can find some 🍀 I’m having it all! 🤣🤣🤣
Gorgeous wood, the effect is beautiful.
It worked okay in the end. Or do you think ball narrower would have still been your preference?
Well done Dick. A stunning piece and very creative.

Wow that so beautiful the bowl and the balls and timber has a Amazing colour to it as well Amazing work dick keep up the amazing work 😊

I think the bowl needed to be extra! Lovely on its own, but with some ball for feet - I’m so pleased it worked! Bit of a risk 😁👍❤️
