  • This is the ALLDOCUBE iPlay50 Mini Pro. Comes with a MediaTek Helio G99, a Mali-G57 MC2 and an 8.4” IPS display that looks amazing. The video doesn’t do it justice. Mine came with 128 GB storage and I added a 256 GB micro SD. It has 8 GB of RAM and it has a 5000 MAH battery that will last you for several hours. It’s capable of running games up to PS2, GameCube and Nintendo 3DS. Some games may not be enjoyable though.
I use the device mainly for retro gaming so I’m using the front end called Daijisho to control and organize my roms and I use a telescopic controller called the D8. I purchased both the tablet and controller from AliExpress.

@sergestar4536 oh it’s really a good tablet even if you don’t use it for gaming. It’s capable of doing a lot of stuff. It outperforms the Galaxy Tab A8 and the Lenovo Tab M8 (4th Gen). I tried those tablets before and I ended up returning them. The ALLDOCUBE is less expensive and a lot better.
Samsung just came out with the Galaxy Tab A9 which has the same CPU and GPU as the ALLDOCUBE but in my opinion, it will probably be loaded with tons of bloatware like Samsung usually does. It is around the same price but the ALLDOCUBE has been gaining popularity so I’ve actually seen it go up in price.

I just bought one of these 8" alldocube tablets with a different processor, waiting for it to arrive. I plan on using it the same way you do here, with a telescopic controller.
Glad to see they are capable little machines. Hopefully the processor upgrade can squeeze a little more performance out of GC and PS2, but I didnt really buy it for those systems anyways; I mainly bought it so I can stream my xbox series s from my bed on a decent size screen, any emulation is just a bonus!

@@jayjayhooksch1 I’m pretty sure you’ll love it. What CPU comes with the one you are getting?

@@16bitsorhigher Snapdragon 6 gen 1. All the other specs of the tablet are basically the same. The reason I went for the Snapdragon version is because that chip supports Wi-Fi 6e, which should show, albeit tiny, some gains in game streaming over the g99's wifi 5.
Sadly, since ordering, I learned that alldocube only went with wifi 5 even though the chip is capable of 6/6e. I don't know much about how radios are installed in a system, but I thought they were baked into the SOC. So I'm not sure if 6e is something that might come to fruition with a future OTA update, but I'm not going to hold my breath.

i am curious if you can use other than that controller on that tablet

I believe you can use any controller that’s Bluetooth capable. I have tried a PS4 controller, an 8Bitdo controller and I also connected a USB Nintendo Switch controller with a USB A to USB C adapter and it worked perfectly well. I did have to remap the controllers on some systems but they worked. So I think there’s a good probability that any Bluetooth controller will work.

The problem with these random brands is that they will probably never get updates. They will forever be stuck with whatever shitty badly optimized and bloated software they come with

Well, I’m not trying to sell you a tablet but the ALLDOCUBE has no bloatware. It comes loaded with just basic apps. It reminds of the Nexus tablet. You wanna see bloatware, get a Lenovo or the worst ones , Samsungs! That’s bloatware. They sell you a 128GB tablet and when you look at storage you barely have 100 GB because of all the crap they load in there that’s not necessary and which you can’t remove.
You are probably right about security updates because I’ve had it for about 6 months and I’ve only seen one update and it’s running Android 13 and I’m not sure if it will get 14 but I’m using it for retro gaming so it really doesn’t matter to me. I’m recommending this tablet to the people who want to play retro games on a big display without having to pay above $125 dollars
