Breaking bad news Teddy. I tried ordering an Oris calibre 400 from you today. Could not get through on the phone, or internet. Wound up buying from Jared galleria. An “A” for effort on my part. Can’t take my eyes off of it. Sorry bro. I tried.

A great video Teddy, it's great to spread the words and terms that us watch nerds didn't have to work out over time. A great nod also to the shout out figures who made changes to to the movement design options. George was ahead of his time in this respect given the precision required to make a co-axial caliber manually. It took a long time to productionise it. Thanks again Teddy.

Actually most dive 'count up' bezels can be used to count down too.
If you need to count down, say 20 minutes, just align the 40 minute bezel marker with the minute hand. When the minute hand hits the 12 o'clock marker on the bezel, your 20 minutes are up.
Teddy, I'm disappointed you didn't mention John Harrison! The man invented the accurate marine chronometer and opened the oceans to exploration and trade.

Tissot with their T-my lady watch if you going for more of a dressy look

The one aspect of watches I find myself super opinionated on is hands. Seems like many are designed for looks over function (eg huge snowflake hour hand that obscures the dial, or giant but short seiko or citizen arrow hands). I find pencil hands with parallel sides leading to a clear point by far the easiest to tell time with. Anyone else feel the same way?

Are they not shaped like an arrow to represent the English longbow and tie in with the Tudor and English theme?

    • @mattk8166

The minute hand is the tip and the hour hand is the fetching so when they line up they are an English longbow arrow.
