Great comparison video. I was recently shopping to buy a backpack gas blower for my 3 acres parcel. I like Echo and Redmax, they are good but just prefer Stihl 800CE model. The Stihl wins for me because of local dealer and 4 year warranty parts and labor. The 800 CE you can start and stop with the backpack on, mine takes less pull to start then any of my other Stihl weed whackers or handheld gas blower. My out the door price for the Stihl 800 CE model with the 6 pack of 2 stroke oil was $690 including tax. Also only use pure gas. Ethanol gas is garbage. I just had are first snow with 2 1/2 inches and it’s the light and fluffy type and just blew off 50 yard driveway and other areas with ease. Also before the snow blew out all the leaves around my house and away they go. My last gas Stihl handheld blower, whacker and chain saws still running strong after ten years with no repairs in any of them. Just can’t beat that.
@@anthonya8412 the 800 is a great choice to go with, by far the most comfortable. And yes, dealer support is definitely a critical factor and stihl definitely has the best reputation for that. I've had the 800 since 2019 and no problems yet. 👍
Great video, thank you for setting that up. I have the Red Max 9000 now and am happy with the power and comfort, however I have had extensive issues with the engine. Increasing the throttle causes hesitation, and even an occasional stall. Dealer serviced it a few times and reset the codes, but can’t find a solid problem. I used the Echo 9010 for 2 years and it was great, but used massive amounts of gas. The Red Max is far more efficient, comfortable, and when running properly, is extremely powerful.
@@jeffreymarks3724 I too have noticed a little hesitation when throttling up, but haven't experienced a stall yet, hopefully the dealer will be able to iron out that issue. But aside from that I've been in love with the 9000!
When the echo and redmax are idling, they sound like a 2 stroke dirt bike running, but when you give them full throttle, they sound like a tornado siren. In my opinion.
@@andrewdye7881 they certainly do, and I agree they're clearly not loud enough so I think putting a straight pipe on them will dial up the noise to an acceptable magnitude.
In California they have banned gas powered lawn equipment. Can you believe that shit. Chainsaws, BB etc are all not possible to get shipped and are being phased out across all outdoor equipment stores. So my neighbor took his happy ass to Vegas and won an echo 9010h at a game of black jack. I hear he can’t wait to run it on his 2 acres with 28 oaks. May be the last of the Mohegan’s. Lucky guy.
My choice is the sthil br800x because its comfortable and less weight. The echo has a heavy tube that other people notice as well. All of the blowers are really good. Like my 5yr old br800x.
@@markclark1605 I agree the stihl br800 is by far the most comfortable, and yes the echo tube is pretty stiff and doesn't have a lot of flex like the others
Here in UK we only got BR700 BR 800 & Husqvarna 580 MK1 & Echo 8010 because Emissions so never get 580 MK3 or Echo 9010 or Redmax 9000 or Husqvarna 590
I tend to agree with you...the poster was maneuvering the heck out of the nozzle on the Redmax to move the same or less leaves...I will hang on to my 2024 Echo PB-9010t for now.
Wonder if Ebz9000 motor made in Japan like Previous Redmax & Husqvarna they where made by Komatsu Zenoah as Redmax & Komatsu Zenoah owned by Husqvarna & they used be owned by Electrolux who do white Goods like fridges washing Machines
Looks like 580 MK3 tank Smaller than Mk1 here that 2.6lts which same as new Redmax 9000 the BR800c is 2lt here me found out Husqvarna tubes if put on Fully you can’t get off alone because tubes so large even someone in USA on TH-cam found same problem
Great video! I love my Husky 580 MKIII! I tried the 9000 but I liked the overall comfort/tube of the 580. The 9010T's tube was not comfortable and would wear on my arm quickly. BTW the 580 MKII fuel capacity is 87.92 FL/OZ per Husqvarna website. I usually get around 1.25-5 hours of run time full power when doing cleanups.
oh wow you're right, i just checked and yeah, the husqvarna is 87.92, so the tanks on the the redmax version is smaller?! wow I did not know this. thanks for the incite! 😁
I own 3 husky 580 bfs they move anything and I can honestly say I’m getting very comfortable with the ebz9000 was a little different at first because of the tube was shorter but shoot that power really makes up for it and I’m getting the leaf clean up’s done faster with the ebz9000 then running 2 580bfs ..

that's a good question, I'm not sure. all I know is that it is indeed a strato 2 stroke like all the other products.

no but I know it was a very popular blower back in its hayday
