How not checking the whole user is not thinking, don't see something and don't think have like nothing to do with each other lol. And you're still trying to make fun of someone that couldn't understand how a rank the story never explicitly explained works. You can just explain in a kind way in the place of just act like "think buddy", they're not dumb and they wasn't not thinking, so if you need to explain something to someone who didn't understand then that comment is rude. The others are not dumb and you're not better just bc they didn't get a tiny detail, so you shouldn't talk them like that and just explain to them in a normal way in the place of treating them as if they couldn't think by themselves.

fun fact: in the manga when Ymir talks about the "monkey", she use the kanji for monkey (wich is normal) but when Eren ask about the monkey after hearing her, he doesn't use the kanji. That tell us he never heard the world "monkey" and he doesn't know what it means.

Eren also doesn't know that the beast titan exists yet. Its called a misdirection, or red herring.

@@wickywickyjoka i dont think it spoils anything in the story. Actually they already aware of how the people inside the walls know nothing about the outside and how only the original survey corps members who knows better.
Bertolt's in gear explains why he caught Ymir and another soldier at 2×7.
Reiner is wearing the gear of Eren, and Bertolt is wearing that soldier's gear.

They all are actually just teenagers! in current ep, Eren is 15, Berthold & Annie are 16, and Reiner is 17 y.o respectively.

I love that they said Eren has a “weird momentum drive that comes out sometimes and that is scary.” This surprisingly explains a lot about his character with the context of the final manga chapters which some people claim were a retcon when in reality it’s all been there from the beginning.
It's usually the ending haters that I've seen say Eren was inconsistent but it was absolutely always there like you said.
I'm Japanese and I don't understand English very well, but I like the natural reaction of the two, so I see them every time.
I am looking forward to the reaction of the two of them in the future.

Riener developed a split personality. He was a normal guy as a warrior but now he kinda lost his mind. He got attached but still want to keep on their mission. He is so messed up mentally, i kinda feel bad for him

Btw guys, this was the first time we get to see anything about Marco’s death which was a complete shock that Reiner and Bertholdt knew something about it since his death was mysterious and no one saw him before or HOW he died.

Don't worry about not getting everything lol, give it time and wait for more episodes. As a manga reader, I can tell you this show is an amazing mess of clues and mindfucks, and I've seen the whole series like 3 times or more now, and I still find new shit with every re-watch

There's a lot you can deduce from the teases they give you. You just gotta analyze a bit. It's like figuring out what happened to Connie's village; you either realize it in episode 3, or you realize it at the end of the season. I came to a lot of conclusions when this first came out, which made it a fairly satisfying lore drop.
That is the good point of the show, you can figure a lot by the hints or having no clues before it is revealed, but even if you figured it out, you are also satisfied the way it is revealed ... the opposite of some show where you understand before and all the revelations have no flavor and revelation are then uninteresting

anyway, on reiner, this ep to me brings more light on how he revealed they're titans to eren so seemingly casual. he was in soldier mode and actually for a moment believed eren would just go with him cos they're close friends... plus, he didn't want to cause more harm to the people around them. bertholdt had to snap him out of it. watching reiner hurts me. ugh
This episode is complete subtext, I hope you watch this again after watching Season 4, then you'll realize it wasn't subtext, but just like Eren, us viewers just didn't know anything past this episode yet, and Burrito, Reiner, and Ymir were actually having a real conversation, not a cryptic dialogue

The thing you guys said about Eren, not assessing is one of the reasons why I don't like Eren. One thing I like about this show is they didn't make him the ideal protagonist where like he always knows what to do and he's not like that at all. That's one thing I like about the show, that I don't like Eren. Hahaha! Well, it's always great to see your reactions guys! I've been binge watching your videos of AOT and I am loving it!
To be fair, here he's face to face with the guys responsible for his mother's death. Plus it makes his change in season 4 that much better
