Oh, Laura, my heart went out to you when you were near tears at seeing your dream become real! I so understand this, and so do all of us who've been with you from the beginning, with all the ups and downs, like climbing Mt Everest every day! It really *is* happening, and after such a long time and so much work, it seems a little unreal. But it *is* real, thanks to you and your support team, but mostly you, never giving up. A master class in how to approach life.
Now I'm not going to say it's all down hill from here. Life delights in slapping you upside the head, but I'll take these moments, thank you🥰

I love watching the pros work, it's like watching some device moving through a fully-automated production line, but it's humans not machines doing the work. And it's always so satisfying to see the clay go from a powder, to a chocolatey ganache, seeing it roughly spread on the walls, then seeing it refined to an almost perfectly smooth surface. And it's especially satisfying watching the pros get all that done so quickly.
Hope you have a chance to rest your sore muscles after all that hard work. You deserve it!

It's just cool to watch experts in their zone, you know? I worked on a project making radio studios in an old set of council stables, and we had a colour consultant who arranged the same thing you have, which was to match the colours that you could see from each different room. It’s great to see that you have the same eye for detail in your house. Cheers from Tasmania.

I am in love. Those clay walls are absolutely gorgeous! I specially love the charcoal/black wall. So elegant and soothing. I live in semi-arid climate so clay would be perfect here. We already have adobe, but that is a bit different. We build wslls with it. But as an interior plaster with color. Just watching the plastering and seeing those colors wss so soothing. I want clay walls!

I am a cersmist and when my pieces crack during drying, as it happened in the corner transition on your walls upstair, I use clay powder mixed with vinegar to fix these parts. No water but only vinegar, because the surface tension (?) is different and so the cracked parts connect well with the newly applied clay kit.

All the shout outs to those companies were amazing and seemed really heartfelt! It would be so cool to hear some stories of the people working in those companies, maybe like a set of interviews with similar questions to some people from Holzschmiede, Clay Concepts etc. It would be interesting to hear why they chose these jobs and what they love about it. Maybe the Handwerkskammer would even sponsor a video like this, it would be great advertisement for much needed crafts!
