Oregon Timber Trail - The Greatest Long Distance Mountain Bike Trail in the World!

  • Three Norwegian friends tackle North America's new premiere long-distance mountain bike route: The Oregon Timber Trail.
The trail is an iconic 1 078 kilometer backcountry mountain bike route spanning Oregon’s diverse landscapes from California to the Columbia River Gorge. It is a world-class bikepacking destination offering incredible riding every day. It's designed with mountain biking in mind and consists of more than 60 percent singletrack. It runs south to north and travels through a variety of landscapes, communities, ecosystems, terrain, and, most importantly-mountain bike trails!
You can find the gear I used on this trip here:
    lighterpack.co...
We used 13,5 days on the whole thing and stacked up on food in Chemult, Oakridge, Sisters, Detroit and Parkdale.
    Navigation:
I downloaded offline topographic map on my phone from ViewRanger and then loaded the GPX files from OTT on top. This way, you have access to where you are no matter if you got service or not. Worked like a charm the whole trip
Good luck, this is a good one!

How come you guys don't use larger Seat bags? Is it comfortable riding with a 30L on your back, for the trip I just did with my buddies I used my seat bag (16L) to carry most of my stuff and had a 15L backpack with additional 2L of water bladder space. As well as having some things on the frame and handlebars. But I felt like the bag on my back bothered me less than the seat bag swaying around.

Hei Julius. Tusen takk for flott tilbakemelding. Jeg vil si dette er helt på høyde med Nordmarka ja :-D Ingen salamandere ble skadet i denne produksjonen, så den kravler nok fortsatt rundt i skogene i Oregon i dag :-)

Hum, the land, like the trails or the culture? :-)

@@JonasMTB Both, seems to me like the land is more cared for by the culture over there. More wild here vs more tended there?

So Jonas, you should use english in your beautiful videos, so more people will be willing to watch them. Det er bare oss nordmenn som får noe ut av norsk, så engelsk vil gjøre filmene dine mer tilgjengelige for fryktelig mange flere mennesker! Alle burde se disse filmene. Vakkert laget! So yeah, give English a try. Try just one video and see if it makes any difference? Beautiful video as always 🙂👍🏻

When you take so much time to edit these videos, why dont you just take some time to make the introduction in English so everybody can understand? Doesnt take that much time and noone cares about an accent🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Three of us are planning this trip for this summer, in July. We will probably ride a little heavier than you did, good to see the trail has good MTB singletrack every day! I'm busy obsessing over gear!
