For some reason it makes the body shell sound solid. I fit this to all my body’s. 👍🇬🇧
I’ve shoe Goood and drywall meshed and put edging on all my bodies. 12 Rc cars. I’m retired so I got the time to do it. Huge difference in strength. You can color match the edging too. Looks cool
Nice 👍 you can always use modelers glue and apply it prior to pushing it onto the body. Then the excess that squeezes up will bond it and creat a seal all the way around the guard. Sweet product👍
Shoe goo and drywall tape is the best for protecting the whole thing... suppose you could put this along the edge after actually strengthening the body ;)
Facts. This is great for edge support. But under the shock towers and in the back. Ya. Definitely needs internal reinforcement

You can get that at any auto parts store used for car door edges just get the smallest gap width

Do you put down dry wall tape then bed liner spray ? Have you tried shoe goo which works better?
@@derekquinones8614 I just spray truck bed liner directly on the underside of the paint job before I peel the outer protective cover off. I'll try shoe goo on a body and compare. That would make a great video... a 2x4 drop rig to consistently smash each body until destruction. Now that I think of it, I'll bet the failure points that could cost a race emanate around the attachment points... Maybe make a washer out of a popsicle stick on the top side. Maybe we should survey the community to find the most common body failures they have experienced...

I really enjoy the rc body armor. I got some from Brent at the last club race I was at with him. I put it on my old busted up racing bodies and made some good practice bodies out of them. Im looking forward to running it this race season on my new bodies I just got painted. So far the product is working out well and haven't had any issues with it.

Have you tried the shoe goo and drywall tape modification to your bodies? I have done it to my Slash 4x4 and E Revo 2.0 and it make the entire body very hard and makes the bodies last 10 times longer
This is the way to go, bodies that have this done are INDESTRUCTABLE! It might be too heavy for the track, though.

Yup I usually use drywall tape and shoe goo to repair bodies. Doing the whole body usually adds a lot of weight.
Rubber Cement and Drywall Tape. Instead of shoe goo, use caulk instead, cheaper. Along with this, that would be awesome.
@John Lujan Anything that makes it flexible and resilient. I was thinking rubber cement cause it will pour when warm and you can just tilt your shell around for easier distribution.

@@nikkomartinez8965 I have. shoe goo is no different than caulk (I don't mean exactly) , and I prefer rubber cement over both. It's cleaner and easier to apply, and honestly with a couple of paint drops with some flake it looks good too. I might give shoe goo some tries for applications, same with caulk, but at the moment I am just loving the rubber cement and the ideas I have running through my head. It's all opinion, you do what you think works great. If you got some innovative ideas please hit me up, I'd like to try them out.

Shoe goo and drywall tape works so well for bashers too heavy for racing guys but I would imagine
Try gorilla max strength industrial adhesive clear in the caulking tube. I just lined my basher body on the Tmaxx with this and drywall tape. I really like the results. Very flexible. More valve per ounce.
Use line x bed liner. Works the best
Seems nice and all. I just used Rubberized Under Coating on the underside of my body.
Mark have you used the Dragon Skin Body Backer by RC Body Armor by chance? Curious what you think of it compared to the shoe goo and drywall tape reinforcement method?

Question..I have a new nitro rustler body...painted n trimmed ...just discovered it sits on the resonator pipe.....what can I do to kind of shape the side to bow outwards?.....or maybe a heat protector to wrap around the pipe....idk Thanks

Mark what kind of CA glue is that you are using that has those needle type applicator tip ..... LOL literally as I was typing that you mentioned the glue tips to funny. So another question how do you keep them from drying out? Do you use the cap that comes with the bottle?

Ummm what's weird about this is I use to race pretty heavily RC vehicles 25 -30 years and I use to take electronics wiring and cut a slit down the length of wire and mount it around the edge exactly the same way and used Shoe goo to hold it. Everyone thought I was nuts back then, so who knows. I still have an original RC10 GT with this done on two of the bodies. My other early vehicles I unfortunately sold , ie. RC10, Losi Pro SE and a JRXT pro.

This video feels like the definition of irony.. your Mustang (love it, I’m a 5.0 guy myself) gets a door edge ding and the stuff you are talking about using on the edges of the RC cars is nothing more than door edge guard for full scale vehicles. I’ve been using full scale vehicle door edge guard rubber lining on the edge of my arc cars after shoe goo/drywall tape for quite a while now
