Hey there, I just got back from that area last week. I lived there several years, Sarasota has changed so much, it's way too busy, traffic was awful, my hotel was very noisy. Sarasota does have alot of vegetarian options, lila is a restaurant on main street in Sarasota with several delicious dishes, make sure you check it out. Also south lido beach is pretty quiet you can walk your dog on the intercoastal side, there's a few wooded trails that go right next to the water.

Thanks for the tips Tracy! We'll check them out the next time we are in town :)

Looks like a nice place. You and I both like small towns. You guys are lucky to be in FL at this time of the year and the weather looks amazing. It been in the 60's here the past two days but I'd love some 80's. Glad you're enjoying your trip. Can't wait to see more videos.

I was just close by there at Myakka River SP but didn't go to town at this time. Next time I'm gonna look up Edgewood near Sarasota. Looks nice there. 👍

I used to do the parasailing here and I will again shortly also I didn't see if you noticed Danny Duncan merchandise store was here on Dearborn as well down by the corner market store.

Enjoy Englewood while you can, it won't be but a few years where everyone will want to go there to experience the old-Florida, ultimately turning it in to new-Florida, especially when these type of videos reach the masses. There are not many 'secrets' left in FLA.

That is the truth. I used to live in Cape Coral for about five years. We had to leave back up north for Family. We would like to go back, but we couldn’t even afford our old home if we wanted to now. Feels like half the Northeast moved down there.

I first went to Englewood in 1978…got married there in 1979. Lived in town on and off through the years…most recently 2018-2021.
Like any place in the world, it has its good and bad. Climate change is slowly making it unlivable and I would not advise buying property. The beaches and bay are very nice but when the red tide hits, you won’t want to be anywhere near the water.

Englewood was much better in the 80s when it was a one road two lane town.

It is changing too much. Enjoy while it last. There are way too many people trying to get in on this small area in Florida. They are building too much and this is going to change this peaceful area forever. In a few year if this continues it will be like Miami. They are changing old Florida into new Florida and this is not going to be good for wildlife and ocean life.
