Michael Anthony has the most incredible high tenor voice I have ever heard - believe it or not that is not his falsetto (head voice). He just has a natural high voice. He's a high first tenor, Ed sings 2nd tenor and Dave baritone - Sammy's a tenor. Their singing set them apart - one of many things!!!

Yea Michael Anthony gets ridiculously high with his voice it’s so unreal. All the members of Van Halen were masters at their instruments and vocals. That’s why they’re the greatest band in the world. VH 🎸

"Live Without a Net" is where that video came from. Recorded at the New Haven Coliseum in New Haven Connecticut. VH loved the acoustics in that arena and did a two night gig there to get it right. Sadly they razed the building 20 years ago for a parking lot I think. Sad!!!

    Hey Guys!!! Here's a link to "55" > th-cam.com/video/RvV3nn_de2k/w-d-xo.html
It was released the SAME Year as the Last DLR-VH album, 1984!!! Here's More info > en.wikipedia.org/wiki/I_Can%27t_Drive_55

I think you guys might blow up, and I hope you do. I'm 50 yrs old and saw this concert live in 1986. I was 13 or might have just turned 14. It was my first big rock concert. I started playing guitar when I was around 9 and Eddie was one of my idols along with Randy Rhoads. But when I saw this concert it blew my mind! And to have that Iconic performance of Eddie doing the Eruption solo and hearing songs like these being reacted to by a younger generation is incredible after all these years! Eddie was an Icon.

Yes, I Can't Drive 55 is Sammy's song that was a hit off of his VOA album. The album he put out a year before joining Van Halen. VOA is a great album you should check out. This video is from their 1986 5150 Tour, in support of that album, which was Sammy's first album with Van Halen. That whole album is great too. I saw this tour in March 1986 in Little Rock, Arkansas.

I’ve been a Van Halen fan since 1981. I saw them in concert with DLR… great show! I really wish I could have seen them with Sammy, too.
Sammy was in a band called Montrose (check out Rock Candy); then he went solo - that’s when he did “I Can’t Drive 55”. This was all before joining VanHalen.

The Breakfast Club was mimicking the Van Halen strut 😛🤟 GOAT
Yes, Sammy wrote and performed I Can't Drive 55. He is a total car nut and still has the Ferrari from the 55 video.
Cabo Wabo is another great Van Halen song that ruled the decade.
    Enjoyed your reactions!

You guys were born a little late. But back in the 1970s and 1980s, rock concerts then are things of legend today. I'm enjoying watching you guys enjoy the music I grew up with and took for granted. I saw Van Halen in concert in the 1970s, 1980s and in 2004 was the last time. Your reactions are priceless. You would have enjoyed a VH concert very much.

Okay! I just subscribed to your channel. I’m a 67 year old hippie lady in Michigan. We had the best music! Love Van Halen, but enough already. Venture out there. Start with Grand Funk Railroad, 1969 live version, you will be amazed! Many other suggestions for you too. Gary Moore, Gov Mule, Led Zeppelin and much more.

If you want another killer DLR song off the 1984 album "Drop Dead legs" is great and many don't know it. Little Guitars is fantastic , but another Hagar would be "Top of the World" , one many dont know.
And if you somehow do not know "Unchained" that has to be on your playlist

The last two songs on 1984 album - do it! You'll be the first, and they are two songs they wrote before they were signed, early stuff, kicks ass! No one else has reacted to them yet. All the VH heads will dig it! Girl Gone Bad and House of Pain. P.S, They perform I Can't Drive 55 in this live concert video. Oh, and you have to get Adblock, stops all these commercials!

Dont do live performances for reaction videos. You have to listen to the studio recording. When you become familiar with a song, then listen to the live performances for yourself. For people who use this avenue to discover new music, this does not do the song justice.

Why did you guys cut out the center part? I know it’s some kind of banter with the audience and shoes, however, I think the break on that is kind of a great build up to the end of the song. Just my opinion. Sorry. Huge VH fan. They were my first concert ever. Monsters of Rock 1988 at LA Coliseum. 9 hours of heavy metal. Kingdom Come, Metallica, Dokken, Scorpions and VH. 2 riots that day. One so bad that Metallica stopped playing onstage and sat down on it until the riot subsided. 2nd one was a entire stadium food fight just before VH came on. 🤘🏼

Just my opinion so take it anyway you want but Sammy Hagar is good but not as good as David Lee Roth. David had something that can’t be duplicated. His swag was legendary. It became their identity. And that’s with Eddie Van Halen being maybe the best example of what a 1980s Big Haired power rock band lead guitar player should be like and play like or look like.

hi twins!! I'm your 🧚‍♀️fairy godmother. 🤭 don't know if you are hoping to bring your viewership up slowly or quickly, but I can recommend a few videos that are extremely popular if you're ready for it. I'll give you just a few and you should get enough traffic to get wonderful suggestions.
These are some different genres, but all are amazing. There are so many others, too, so if you need more help, I'll come back.
Nightwish - Ghost Love Score (specifically the "Live from Wacken" performance.) Gabriel will post so many things you can learn about them - I'm jealous of you being able to hear all of this glorious music for the first time!!
    Dimash - S.O.S. - Slavic Bazaar performance
    AURORA - Runaway
Home Free (they're an a capella group, but so much more than that) - Ring of Fire is one of my favorites
and just for fun (don't do any research, go in blind!!) Jinjer - Pisces live session.
ok, that's the first 5. totally different, but all great. REALLY hard to narrow it down to five. hope you see this message!! good luck!! 🥰
Sending love to everyone reading this, from Baton Rouge, Louisiana 💙💙

van hagar is weak. Hagar turned Van Halen into Journey. VAN HALEN 1978-1984 is the CLASSIC stuff.
