    As someone that will soon follow the same treatment, I just want to say how encouraging it is to see you doing so well without all the side effects.
    Everyone is different but just to know it is possible is very uplifting. Thank you for reporting your experience.

    You're my go-to prostate cancer man! Mark! Just finished watching. You mentioned you go four or five times p at night because of the radiation. My problem is that I am 70 years old I reply to you many times but IP at least five times per night ..... BEFORE ANY radiation!!! So my question Mark is are you saying that I might have to pee 15 times per night! Cuz the stories I see it looks like peeing at night usually doubles at LEAST doubles for men. Boy I'm going to be in trouble, no? Pretty soon I plan on starting proton therapy in Delray Florida. Thoughts?

      No. If you already get up a few times at night to pee that could continue. The frequency should not increase.

    SBRT? How many individual sessions, and did they insert a balloon and or use Spaceoar gel?

    My catheter was removed Wednesday. Not as lucky to have immediate control back. I understand that everyone is different on this. I'll be patient, do the Keigels and maybe buy a clamp. One diaper used up overnight, a couple shields in the day. An app on my phone announces "Go Pee" every two hours.

      Keep at it. I’m not sure of your circumstances, but did you practice Kegels before surgery?

      @@prostatecancerexperience Oh, yes! Regularly. Actually, I've done them for decades to maintain my ability to "perform".

    Hi Mark, thank you so much for sharing all this info! I had surgery 1.5 years ago, my psa dropped to 0.004, but it keeps rising very slowly since then. I currently am at 0.03. If my psa reached 0.1 my doctor recommends pelvic bed radiation, but he said that erectile disfunction is almost a certainty. Could you please share your opinion? Thanks!

    • @prostatecancerexperience
      @prostatecancerexperience  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Any PSA score below 0.1 should be considered undetectable. If you try to monitor and track changes in PSA below 0.1 it is NOT meaningful. Erectile disfunction is not always the case. I am 7 weeks into radiation, and my erectile function is the same as it was pre-radiation. Let's see if that changes.

    Nice your insurance covered Orgavyx. Mine denied. I'll have Eligard shots every 3 mo.

      Jeffrey, if your doctor fights with insurance they will approve Orgovyx. They have to be coaxed. It’s best to use a Medical Oncologist to do this for you.

      The human mind always wants to be chewing away at solving problems. Mindfulness works wonders. I was told to think of a couple safe places or people in your life past and present while you’re lying in bed. At first your mind will keep jumping back to work on your problems but with time you’ll find that you’ll eventually go to sleep in just a few minutes.

    This is the other video that was quite interesting regarding prostate cancer and diet. This prostate doctor is adamant that a plant based diet is key. Let me know your thoughts Mark. th-cam.com/video/6BOxZN1YKo4/w-d-xo.html

      This is interesting info, but just remember this is his opinion, which is not yet supported by research. Plant based diets have certain benefits, but also many drawbacks especially with modern farming processes and pesticides.

    Hi Mark. Glad you are doing well. You mentioned you were going to do Keto. I don't know if that's such a good idea. I did keto for a few years and I'm in a bad predicament right now with my prostate. High psa and low free psa ratio. I came across a couple of videos you may want to have a look at. The one I chanced upon that I'm going to link here (I hope you toob doesn't delete this link) has nothing to do with prostate cancer. I was just watching it out of curiosity. If you jump to 17:50 in the video, this surgeon talks about plant based diets and his observations. Please have a look if you have time.
