      That's why I use the Itaki Pro as much as I do now! Safety! I don't care that it may take longer than something on the stove or in the oven because it's safe...and lets me rest after I've prepped the meal.

    Hi Andrea! I love how convenient this is, perfect for vacation for sure. Thanks for all the tips and ways to use this. Definitely a must if you have kids travelling with u. Bonus was yum! 👌🏼❤️

      We did find it very helpful for our current life situation! If we were younger or our kids were older probably not quite the same but at this stage it definitely feels like a must, even if it’s a backup for rice and veggies it’s so small!

    Aw, I miss traveling to BC so much. Such a singularly beautiful landscape. Thank you for this great video and all these excellent tips! They're all great ideas, but for me the big winner is the idea of being able to always prepare a meal at a hotel... there's so many times when either there's no restaurant or your hours don't match up with their service, and this would be such a great, time-saving, money-saving convenient option. Love this! Thank you Andrea!

      Yeah! A couple years when it was just hubs and I, I think we’d just go find a place to go eat. But with kids sometimes I’m either too exhausted to go out again or just don’t want to get them all changed and stuff… so DoorDash it is.. again.. and we can easily save money and supplement with the Pro!

      I WAS CURIOUS I HAVE A 200 WATT SOLAR GENERATER BY FLASH FISH ..DO YOU THINK THATS ENOUGH POWER NOT SURE HOW MUCH POWER THESE LITTLE LUNCH BOXES ARE...CURIOUS

    • @krisshruti9000
      @krisshruti9000 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@cherylhunt5652 think the wattage would be written on the unit itself or on the box or manual. My 3.5 L slow cooker uses just 100w so it's quite likely this tiny thing would use even less.

    Oh so good that you could use thar for vacation! Great tips! I haven’t travelled much but I can imagine you would get fed up of eating food from outside, plus it would get expensive! And yes do a video using the tool with eggs please! I’d love to see!

    I bought a set of Itaki but I'm sorry I didn't realize you have an affiliate link :( Thank you for the ideas. I'm taking the units on a trip as I cannot stand having to eat takeout/restaurant food everyday and feel miserable while traveling!

    • @AndreaCooksatHome

    Just got Pro & Shabuki. Glad I stayed for the Bonus round as wanted an egg & oats recipe. Are those reg old fashioned oats ( not instant) and could it work with steel cut?

    • @AndreaCooksatHome
      @AndreaCooksatHome  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I’m using quick oats in this recipe, not instant. I haven’t tried using steel cut oats, but I don’t see why it wouldn’t work, just may need more cooking time. You could also soak the oats the night before. Play around with the cooking time until you reach your preferred texture!

    Has anyone tried to fly with the itaki? Any issues?

    • @AndreaCooksatHome
      @AndreaCooksatHome  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have not, but not because of anything other than Covid. I don’t see an issue with flying with it particularly since there’s no battery and in checked in luggage. We’ve flown with small rice cookers before :) but I would check with the airline if you have any concerns.
