As unpopular as unity was, how cool would it have been if they continued Arno's story in sequel to unity where he finds discovers Shay killed his father and he gets his revenge
Revenge. Revenge. Revenge, honestly that's what destroyed Connor's character, he never grew up and had no change him since he was a kid. There's a reason why people hate him, dead king dlc was perfect for Arno to develop. He's good the way he is
That little detail with Shay's voice when he is making this monologue. You can hear his voice being sad or perhaps more sceptical. Also a bit regret in his voice.
@@Iemonzinger no, In the cutscene, it shows his hidden blade lodged in the front, cos his hand is in the front.... Also, he stabs him in the lower back, and the guy was bleeding from the upper part of his chest... This was a scripted cutscene, like all of them. So it doesn't matter where you stab him, the cutscene shows the same stuff...
Life moves forward: children hold with the assassins, the ideals of freedom and peace without control. Adults, who know the way the world works, hold with the Templars.
Agreed. I wish we'd get a sequel game to continue his story, maybe with him leading the Templars in America and hunting down Connor for killing Haytham and undoing all his hard work for the Templar's in AC: Rogue.
@@JJJJ-lk8wjThat's debatable, the only thing stopping Shay back would be his age but Ezio was in his 50s during Revelations and Altair was killing people in his 90 so I think it wouldn't hold Shay back too much. Connor is probably the strongest character in the series but he makes bad choices and is too hot headed, he also isn't that great at stealth. Shay is very well balanced plus he has training as not only an Assassin but as a Templar, and he has deadly weapons and gear like the airsoft rifle that also doubles as a grenade launcher. If a game like that ever did happen (which I doubt it ever will) then it would be cool if they let you choose who wins, you could either play as Shay and kill Connor or vise versa. Since we don't know anything about how either one died it could just be up to the player to make the choice.
@Patrix Sumac00l if you watch Arno's speech at the end of unity, you would understand that it's not permission to do anything you want. It's a warning. Everything is within reach of people and in their desire to get these things, they turn to fanaticism which results in death and chaos.
This ending makes me realize we still need an assassins creed game that shows how abstergo came into power, they are the modern day Templar’s and it seems like the assassins are almost completely extinct , we deserve to know how all that played out
i might be crazy but when i think about assassin's creed from 3 to Rogue. I get a weird Star Wars feeling. Conor is Luke Skywalker, Haytham is Vader, Shay is Anakin. I mean its not a copy and paste. The similarities are minor. But Shay did betray his friends like Anakin did. Haytham and Conor did resemble that kind of relationship like Vader and Luke had sometimes. Just a thought
+alienhowitzer54 That is the dumbest shit i've heard today. Anakin Skywalker fell to the dark side because he was manipulated and emotionally devestated and lost. Haytham became a Templar because he believed Peace and Freedom can not coexist, Shay became a Templar partially for the same reason, but mostly because he saw that the Assassin's in his era were careless and power hungry and would recklessly search for those precursor sites without heeding his warning.
+LionofDawn actually you didn't hear it. you read it. so yeah. and plus if you don't like it whatever. it's ur opinion. I could give a shit. I only got it because Shay kills his former friends and mentor (almost like Anakin) I know it's dumb. but who cares?
+Park sjin he's like anakin in the way he is twisted into thinking his friends are the enemy. that is the comparison i am making. anakin is vader. vader is anakin. shay is shay but has a similar story trait.
People who hate this game should know that Rogue was never planned to be released until Ubisoft decided it just 6 months before Unity's launch and in just 6 months they gave us this masterpiece, what an story and I can say for me this is one of the most underrated AC Game 😍
@@Vayne_Solidor Kenway/Colonial era saga are underrated, Ezio trilogy is a cinematic masterpiece but the Colonial Saga told us more that these 2 faction are equally bad which is more interesting
I highly doubt connor would get his ass kicked considering he put up a fight against haytham while being injured, just imagine though if edward was alive to teach connor his sword skills like he did haytham
I just finished this game after a gaming hiatus After Revelations, I guess Ubisoft isn’t looking to expand upon characters for more than one game but Shay’s character to me was interesting. It would be cool if we had a game playing as his son or grandson and find out what happened to him (same with Connor). I like how the studios leaned toward showing more of the Templar’s side and not just the Assassins good/Templars bad formula. My hope is they can at least maintain innovative, unique storylines and create or renew characters.
I like how in assassins creed that Good vs Bad formular literally don't exist, Assassins and templars are equally terrible, Templars have a decent goal but definitely the wrong methods, assassins have the "better" Methods but a weird believe on freedom and peace.

I also want to add something, isn't it kind of hypocritical that the Assassins have sets of Rules (The Assassin's Creed) like staying your blades away from the innocents even though their motto allows them to do anything and that nothing is true (basically that Creed is a lie)?

Thats exactly what happened to me today. I was close to finishing rogue in switch, i started up unity on my xbox to see the leap in graohics and played the first sequence, put it down to finish rogue and had my fucking mind blown how closely they tied the ending of rogue to the beginning of Unity. I was not expecting that and it was so cool how it connected.
It was released for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on October 30, 2012, for Wii U on November 18, 2012, and for Microsoft Windows on November 20, 2012. The game takes place in the 1770s and is about the American War of Independence. The main characters of the game are Templar Haytham Kenway and his son Assassin Connor Kenway.
I finished the game just now... Its an amazing game that i have ever played... Such detailing in the buildings, structures and other environmental textures. I felt like i was there. But it ended soon. 😭
For those who don't know this saga : The story begins in ac 4 with Edward kenway he fought for peace his way against the Templars and proctected the laboratory , now the story going in ac 3 haytham kenway the son of Edward kenway, was trained by his father to become an assassin , but he became a Templars and after the the main character of ac 3 Connor kenway the grandson of Edward kenway, kills his father in ac 3, now the story of Shay Patrick The story of rogue is settled between ac 3 and 4. Better you play ac 4 first then rogue and then 3 to get a better experience
You need to infiltrate the palace of Versailles without being detected Shae: proceeds to sprint around the courtyard of the most powerful man in mainland Europe like an idiot
I like, how they did this game, no matter what others say. Revelations and 3 closed the first part of the series, while 3 also started another being 3, BF, Unity and Rogue. With Adewalé, Haytham, Charles and Connor mention, they made Shay a missing piece in these series, and they did great job with this game, also closing second part of the series. Now I think, they will leave Syndicate stand alone, becuase there has to be something done with modern day story and also they are going waay back to the Ancient Egypt, so no more things abiut the Frye twins, whatsoever. But I hope the Origins reboot, and "The start of the new era" can make things right, because this is just great franchise thrown to the wrong direction. But I think Origins can set things right, and that Assassin's Creed will return. If they will mess it up again, than I will come here and write a comment, saying that this game, and particularly this moment was the moment, where the series should have ended. Have a nice day, and never forget. We are assassins.

People who wanted Shay to be killed by Arno and/or Cornor doesn't understand the story of AC Rogue. He sided whichever did good deeds. It just happened in his time Templar did a good thing and Assassins didn't. So if Arno and/or Conor meet Shay, he just gonna train them and told them his story instead. Even Achilles realized and understood that Shay was right all along and Shay didn't kill him bcuz he realized his mistakes. Thats why Shay kept him alive to make a better Assassins Brotherhood again. To teach next assassin generation to the right path again.

The templars and assassins in unity were both trying to start and guide the french revolution to their own ends.
@@tristanriffle5288 right! that's is what "unity" means! XD

Eric N but no shay didn't, "hostory" stayed the same.

I really think they should've worked on Rogue, not Unity..
I think they did.
Just realized I wrote rouge 11 month ago xD what a embarassment
RPG Is Life I believe this game was just to content the then previous gen since they were just releasing Unity for the next one. Therefore, I understand their choice of focusing more in one game than the other
I feel like this game was just an afterthought. Similar mechanics to Black Flag, but has 3's inferior, but decent graphics. It would've done better if it had the production value of a "main" Assassin's Creed Game.
You realise that Unity and Rogue were not made by one developer but 2 different? Rogue was made by Ubisoft Sofia while Unity by Ubisoft Montreal so they didn't interfere into each other's projects.
AC III, Black Flag, Freedom Cry and Unity ,all connected in one game
"Then perhaps we shall start a revolution of our own"
A statement equally vicious, wise and weary.
“Uphold the principles of our order, and all that for which we stand. Never share our secrets, nor divulge the true nature of our work. Do so until death, whatever the cost. This is my new creed. I am Shay Patrick Cormac, Templar of the Colonial....of the American rite. I am an older man now, and perhaps wiser. A war and a revolution have ended, and another is about to begin. May the Father of Understanding guide us all.”
- Shay Cormac, 1776
TheGamingAsian I cry everytime i hear this
As unpopular as unity was, how cool would it have been if they continued Arno's story in sequel to unity where he finds discovers Shay killed his father and he gets his revenge
clutch3000, Too predictable and revenge once again. There has been enough of revenge in this series.
Jake Michael Arno wouldn’t stand a chance
No point hunting shay because shay is old in arnos timeline when he become assassin and he had a lot to do
Revenge. Revenge. Revenge, honestly that's what destroyed Connor's character, he never grew up and had no change him since he was a kid. There's a reason why people hate him, dead king dlc was perfect for Arno to develop. He's good the way he is
Nope revenge did not destroy Connor's character.
1:54 - 2:07 Assassins Creed 2 theme song. Nice easter egg Ubisoft.
Rogue's main theme is a version of the AC2 theme anyway.
Nice self-plagiarism Ubisoft. You don't need to write new catchy music when you can do some covers.

That little detail with Shay's voice when he is making this monologue. You can hear his voice being sad or perhaps more sceptical. Also a bit regret in his voice.
Logic: Stabbed him on the back, but bleeding from the front
Really nigga
That blade could have pierced through
It could've gone through his chest lmao
The same way you shoot someone in the head and somehow talk to them while they bleed out from a stab wound in these games
Shay is very skilled as a former Assassin and as a Templar. even Bellec said that the man who killed Arno's father had no witnesses.
Yup we could see that after he assassinated Charles, nobody even knew until Charles reached up to them which was too late
Probably one of the few games the series has offered exceptionally in terms of story and thematics.
Charles Dorian: I'll protect this with my very life
Shay: I'm about to end this man's whole career
Did they... turn me into a chicken at the end of this game?

Who is the Father of understanding ??? God ? Someone other out from this planet ??

Well the only father I know is Jupiter, since he was one of the first civilization other than Juno or Minerva

Eddie Yettie I use to be a templar I'm an.assassin now
Whoever wrote the story for this game is a fucking genius, especially the ending.
Life moves forward: children hold with the assassins, the ideals of freedom and peace without control.
Adults, who know the way the world works, hold with the Templars.
so this comes before unity
now if only i could get unity to work
oh snap ^_^
Yes, why? O.o
if you do get it to work you'll be disappointed.
+insertusername I wasn't... Though it wasn't the best AC game...
F yes and so does AC 3
shay was easily the best protagonist in the franchise. he had a goal, a vision and he was determined about it
Agreed. I wish we'd get a sequel game to continue his story, maybe with him leading the Templars in America and hunting down Connor for killing Haytham and undoing all his hard work for the Templar's in AC: Rogue.
I agree
@@darthnowlan connor would win tbh
@@vengeance1450 it would make no sense for shay to win, he's washed. icl it doesn't matter what u say, Altair solos 😈😈
Templar: May the father of understanding guide us.Assassin: Yours in brotherhood.
@Patrix Sumac00l if you watch Arno's speech at the end of unity, you would understand that it's not permission to do anything you want. It's a warning.
Everything is within reach of people and in their desire to get these things, they turn to fanaticism which results in death and chaos.
when shay is talking at end it makes me cry
It is definitely a great trilogy games I'd say that
+alienhowitzer54 That is the dumbest shit i've heard today.
+alienhowitzer54 anakin is vader so how is shay anakin
+Park sjin he's like anakin in the way he is twisted into thinking his friends are the enemy. that is the comparison i am making. anakin is vader. vader is anakin. shay is shay but has a similar story trait.
I love how Shay pulls up like Anakin did to the jedi temple then just completely fucks everything up
People who hate this game should know that Rogue was never planned to be released until Ubisoft decided it just 6 months before Unity's launch and in just 6 months they gave us this masterpiece, what an story and I can say for me this is one of the most underrated AC Game 😍
The whole Kenway era trilogue, 3,4 and Rogue, is the best in the series.
@@Vayne_Solidor Kenway/Colonial era saga are underrated, Ezio trilogy is a cinematic masterpiece but the Colonial Saga told us more that these 2 faction are equally bad which is more interesting
Shay is honestly my second favorite protagonist in the series. This game is so underrated
And that is how Assassin's Creed: Unity started. Yet, Arno did not hunt Shay down, did he?
Jacob Frye Feel like Connor did though
Jacob Frye he didn't know the killer's face, that's why
Conor and his wife died a horrible death.
When unity came out connor was supposed to go to the french creed and help arno with his revolution and hunt down any other templars
I highly doubt connor would get his ass kicked considering he put up a fight against haytham while being injured, just imagine though if edward was alive to teach connor his sword skills like he did haytham
I love how this game links straight up to unity
I love how when you wear the Versailles robes afterward shay keeps his gray hairs. Reminds me of ezio being a silver fox in revelations
“Then perhaps we shall start a revolution of our own”
French Revolution?
Yep
Shay was probably part in the conspiracy against De la Serre
I just finished this game after a gaming hiatus
After Revelations, I guess Ubisoft isn’t looking to expand upon characters for more than one game but Shay’s character to me was interesting.
The end of Assassin’s Creed Rogue is the beginning of Assassin’s Creed Unity.
That final speech...gives me goosebumps!
I love the ending song for Shay. Also Shay character was really good and perfect for this game.
this had so much potential as a story. i really wanted a second AC with Shay
"Uphold the principles of our order and all that for which we stand. Never share our secrets nor divulge the true nature of our work. Do so until death--whatever the cost. This is my new creed. @@adamcameron1575 Damn my boy edward nailed it we assassins will rise in reality once more we shall bring peace to this treachours world and its laws
I also want to add something, isn't it kind of hypocritical that the Assassins have sets of Rules (The Assassin's Creed) like staying your blades away from the innocents even though their motto allows them to do anything and that nothing is true (basically that Creed is a lie)?

One of the best game endings ever. Still gives me chills!
I love just how close Shay got to Arno
The fact that this game ties 3 other AC games together really is cool.
Imagine playing Rouge first knowing nothing about Unity, then buying Unity and slowly realising what was happening and then seeing Charles dead.
@@ericg1100 I envy you, that sounds awesome.
“Enter Versailles and Change History”
The music in Rogue is so fucking great!
They should keep following up with these stories making slightly more modern ac games
That would be Assassins Creed Black Ops 9
It would lose all the sense since a hidden blade to a shotgun now is nothing.
Also AC is based in history not in modern times.

Gotta love how Shay walked out as a complete badass after recovering the box.
For those who don't know this saga :
The story begins in ac 4 with Edward kenway he fought for peace his way against the Templars and proctected the laboratory , now the story going in ac 3 haytham kenway the son of Edward kenway, was trained by his father to become an assassin , but he became a Templars and after the the main character of ac 3 Connor kenway the grandson of Edward kenway, kills his father in ac 3, now the story of Shay Patrick
The story of rogue is settled between ac 3 and 4.
Better you play ac 4 first then rogue and then 3 to get a better experience
You need to infiltrate the palace of Versailles without being detected
Shae: proceeds to sprint around the courtyard of the most powerful man in mainland Europe like an idiot
i just realize that scene from Assassin Creed Unity where Arno still child. Good work Ubisoft. You really did a good job.
To bad Ubisoft rarely does stuff this great for the series
