    Be One with the bike. Feel the force. The power flows through the rider. You control the machine, it does not control you. 😉

    How was the wind blast on the highway? I saw the speeds you were traveling and once in a while you had just one hand on the handle bar which leads me to believe that there’s fairly decent wind. coverage…for a naked bike?? I like some wind coverage for proper operation of the motorcycle on the highway and just find it more enjoyable. I had a Honda CB 650 F and the wind blast was absolutely horrendous at highway speeds. It felt like I was going to be peeled off the motorcycle when I was going 70 to 80. This Z 900 seems to have some big shoulders and tank and radiator that block your waist and legs. Like you, I like naked bikes but some block wind better than the others. Please let me know your experience with the wind blast at highway speeds. Thanks

    I recognize the route you took from Kawasaki. I used to work about two miles away from there and took that toll road daily! Too bad you didn’t go north to Santiago Canyon you would have really enjoyed that detour and still been able to take freeways to Torrance where American Honda is.

    I am a pretty simple person myself, I bought a 2023 Z900 a few months ago and do not care for traction control or rider modes. I want all the power all the time with no intervention. I always compare my Z900 to my old 2015 Honda CB1000R and that thing was a best. The CB did 25 mph more in 1st gear also.

    Im think Im going to have my 2012 Z1000 scrapped in the junkyard, an get one of these. oh, the '12 Z is in perfect condition, 8k miles, babied an customized, slip-ons, carbon fiber everything, custom sargent seat, all new everything- brakes, cables, plugs, oil, K&N air, upgraded to 525 chain & sprockets, grips levers mirrors, everything has been gone thru making sure its gtg, 10 years old so I went thru everything of course. it lives in garage, babied, battery tender, an polished far more than ridden.
    I thought about selling it, or trading it in, but nowadays if that no nannys 1043cc 140Hp beast ends up in the hands of any riders nowadays less than 40 or 50 years old who grew up like I did w/out fully nannied bikes (or a very experienced rider/racer familar w no nannys riding) would be negligent on my part cos of the no ABS or TC and -- know it or not-- new or young riders have no understanding of controlling a bike like this nowadays. no offense. they of course ask, but I let noone ride it.
    its a crude monster dinosaur death machine if u didnt growup/learn on stuff like this back then. even though its a "modern" aluminum trellis frame, liquid-cooled an 300mm front rotors- pretty good for 2012. to me at least. I learned on 50cc in the 60's at 6years old, kick started everything. after turning on the petcock, and pulling the choke ofc. riding offroad only until my late teens.
    #1 would be throttle modulation. again, NO traction control. I see all kinds a videos theyre cranking that throttle and TC is saving they ass tbh, although they dont know it cos its been around for so long they dont know a liter bike w/out it u better be careful with that throttle.
    especially pulling out an while still leaned giving it whiskey throttle. nono, not on this. I have to putt putt out get straight get into second and up to some good speed before alot of input... or else., an still then u gotta lean fwd to keep the front wheel down. no., no wheelie control. sorry. no nannys. at all. no led. no tft. no rider modes. not even a gear indicator ONO! IK!. I can hardly read the old orange lensed digital dash anyways. day or night lol.
    so its either scrap it, or interview and choose the buyer making them sign some sort of release of responsibility. I just cant in good conscience sell/trade it in and walk away thinking about who might end up with it.

    I really gravitate towards the Z900, I love an inline 4. Ended up going with the XSR900 though, because of better suspension, IMU and and less toy-like looks.
    Kawasaki really needs to overhaul the Z900. The plasticky 2010s-design needs to go and it needs adjustable suspension and an IMU.

    • @catalin1588
      @catalin1588 ปีที่แล้ว

      But Kawasaki already has a more classic looking Z900. It's the Z900 RS and Z900 RS Cafe. This is just a bike for someone who likes the more modern and futuristic look.. I own one and love the way it looks. As for the suspension is not great but for street use is plenty, far better than the 1st and 2nd gen MT09. I guess the 3rd gen MT09/XSR900 are far better suspension wise, I haven't had the chance to ride one yet..

    • @dsofe4879
      @dsofe4879 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@catalin1588 I'm not saying they need to go retro, I'm aware that they have the RS. The design of the regular Z900 just kinda needs an update... it's been unchanged since 2016, or since 2013, if you count the Z800, which didn't look much different either.
