CV-- The three GIBB brothers are Barry (oldest bearded, great hair) // Maurice ("Mo" Bearded, but losing his hair)// Robin (no beard, Mo's fraternal twin) Mo and Robin have passed too young-- Mo was 53 died 2003. Robin passed in 2012 at 62. Only big brother Barry is alive , 77, but still active . They are Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Songwriters Hall of Fame. Wrote over 1000 songs. RARELY did covers. Wrote songs for other singers. They were generous and HUMBLE geniuses.

BeeGees wrote and sang over a thousand songs and never had a bad song ever. The twins have passed away but Barry the eldest is still alive. Gibb is their last name. They wrote Islands in the stream for Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers, Heartbreaker for Dionne Warrick, Chain Reaction album for Diana Ross, Guilty album for Barbara Streisand, Immortality for Celine Dion and so many more. Some of their songs aee also the most covered by other bands for example To love somebody. I've lost count of the different versions of that song. They were writing and performing for over 5 decades with their last album coming out in 2001 not long before Mo passed away.

So far you’re getting into lots of the singers I love. I had no idea your life started off so hard. You speak English so perfect your diction is perfect. You’re a credit to yourself. The seventies Beegees, whom you are just being introduced to, were their reinvention as a disco group. They started, I think in the late 50s, but in the sixties they had great pop songs like "I started a joke" and "Hold on" (gotta get a message to you). These gentlemen, Pink Floyd, and Olivia Newton John are Australia' s gift to the music world.

They are the sound of my teens and early twenties. Their catalog is absolutely huge. They were singing as young boys and had hits in the 60s 70s 80s and I believe some in the 90s as well. There is one song, "Fanny be Tender with my Love' I think you would love it! Also, try "NIghts on Broadway". Absolutely wonderful!

I'm so pleased you discovered the Bee Gees. I grew up with their music and it was nearly always played as the last dance at the end of the evening and there was nothing better than slow dancing to this holding my girlfriend tight and just being in love. It's so sad the generations after never got to experience this music in their youth, maybe if they had there wouldn't be so much angst. They're singing/rapping about violence, gangstas and guns and it's so sad they missed so much.

The songs go on and on and on. At one time 5 of the top 10 were Bee Gee’s songs either sung by them or other artists. They have written for many artists including Barbara Streisand who had her highest selling album that they penned. Barry also does a couple of duets on that album. They were/are incredible talents both vocally and as song writers. Six decades of hits. Remember back in the day there was no auto tune. Robin sings the lead at times and he too has an amazing and unique voice.

Bee Gees stands for the Brothers Gibb. 3 brothers - Barry, the tall one with the voice that got you - Robin, has the longer hair of the two twins - Maurice, slightly balding here, is the other twin. There is also another musical brother name Andy Gibb who was very big with the ladies in the 70's. The only one left alive is Barry, who is the oldest, ironically. Very good idea to make a playlist now. ✌

Don't let the haters get to you. Too many Americans think we are the center of the universe and the whole world should bow down and worship what we think is popular. It pisses me off. There are plenty of other things going on in the rest of the world that have nothing to do with our pop culture. We wouldn't have your wonderful reactions to this great music if you were already familiar with them. The best part of reaction videos is when someone really discovers something new to them.

The career basically was three phases early almost folks, stuff and more mainstream pop, and then kind of the disco era, they did an entire album with Barbra Streisand that is amazing, called guilty, did an album with Dionne Warwick called Heartbreaker great song, did an album with Diana Ross great song, called Chain Reaction, did an album with Kenny Rogers called Isaac seeing the dark fantastic album You gotta listen to the early stuff in the 60s and then do their stuff in the 70s before the disco. My favorite album is Main Course every song is the delight on that you have got a long journey ahead of you probably 30 songs that are amazing at least, love your discovering this I always worry that when my generation is gone, their music will be gone but when new generations like you discover it, it’s so inspiring

Bee Gees are legendary. All are Brothers. Barry Gibb, the tallest and oldest, Robin and Maurice (pronounced Morris), Gibb are twins and 3 years younger than Barry. And they had a younger brother: Andy Gibb who had a great solo career. He was too young at the time to join The Bee Gees. Other songs you can react to:
    Stayin Alive
    You should be dancing
    Fanny be tender
    Love you inside out
    Tragedy
    To love somebody
    Jive Talkin
    Nights on Broadway
    Love So Right
… this is just a start.
They WROTE ALL THEIR SONGS and wrote for:
Kenny Rogers/Dolly Partons “Islands in the Stream”
Barbra Streisand’s entire “Guilty” album, including 2 duets with Barry
    Celine Dion “Immortality “
    Deion Warwick’s “Heartbreaker”
    Diana Ross’ “Chain Reaction
Destiny’s Child Or Samantha Sangs “Emotions”
    And many many more!
They’ve written over 1,000 songs and is in the Songwriters Hall-a-fame and more! They started singing in the 1950’s all the way through the 2,000s. Sadly, only Barry remains alive..but their music will last forever!

I know or have known two personal friends of their's. My brother-in-law and a friend of my mum's. Their originally from England, where they got themselves into trouble with the police as teenagers. It was suggested that they leave the country at least for a while, so they moved to Australia. So the people who knew them when got to know them in Redcliffe just outside of Brisbane, Queensland. My brother-in-law lived around the block from them. He was a good friend of their's and played in a band with them. A couple of years ago, Barry was visiting the area. He spotted my brother-in-law and called out to him by name. Mum's friend's son Andrew was a childhood best friend of Andy's. Andy would come over to play, and his brothers would pick him up. You'd be hard pressed to find a bigger Bee Gees fan. Although Andy was understandably her favourite.

He died at 30 years old of myocarditis, an inflammation of the heart muscle most likely caused by a virus. He had a few really good songs. I Just Want To Be Your Everything, Shadow Dancing, Love Is Thicker Than Water, Starlight, Let It Be Me to name a few. Andy Gibb and The Bee Gees were my teen years in the 70's.

Funny you should mention Dolly and Kenny, because the Bee Gees wrote "Islands in the stream", sung by, Dolly and Kenny.
Welcome to your Bee Gees experience, one of the greatest bands/songwriters ever!

Smooth is the word. Love seeing first reactions, it brings the music alive once again. You'll love Dolly and Kenny doing their Bee Gees composed duet Islands in the Stream. Best country song by miles.

A cfew more great Bee Gees songs for you to check out! " Fanny (be te😮nder with my love)", "More than a woman ", and " Love you inside and out". They wrote, performed and/or produced over 1000 songs with over 100 of them ending up in the top 10. " Guilty "and " What kind of fool" are Barry's duets with the legendary Barbra Streisand., both are 🔥 I'm certain you won't be disappointed with any of the songs I've recommended. Enjoy!

They wrote over 1000 songs, with many number ones. They wrote top songs for other artists too. They wrote "Islsnds In the Stream for Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton. You would like that.

Blood Harmony... from Manchester England. And Yes, the biggest one is the falsetto... Man could always sing higher than me!! Yes they moved to Australia early in life.. they have amazing voices, and their harmonies are Scary good. Gibbs is the surname. Barry is the tall Falsetto, Robin is the one with the thin face and Maurice was the final brother. Barry is the only one still living.

Play FANNY BE TENDER with the video from the 70's. Pure R&B gold! The three talents are on full display. All FOUR brothers were amazing. RIP Robin, Maurice, and Andy. Only Barry is left. They wrote Islands in the Stream for Dolly and Kenny.

Yes...at about 4.25, you sang "Ghetto Superstar" by Pras in 1998 : the chorus of this song is a cover of the Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton "Islands In The Stream" song, written by the Bee Gees in 1983

Just subscribed to your channel. There's a lot of real ignorant people in the world who make ridiculous remarks ect about things they know nothing about! Forget them! You shouldn't have to explain "squat"... I love your reactions to the Bee Gees... Try For Whom the Bell Tolls! ❤

Another deep rabbit hole....gonna be a looonngg playlist boss. A lesser known, yet very good, selection of theirs is "Closer Than Close" with Maurice on lead vocal. He didn't get featured on many tracks. (Some of his solo work leaned toward country music i.e. "Hold Her In Your Hand")
Bee Gees are a deep dive....
    MEANWHILE
    Over in Dolly land.....
    Me and Little Andy
    .....let me repeat
    Me and Little Andy
(....and don't forget your box of tissues)

No one can mess with sibling harmonies.. the Bee Gee's had it.. the Jackson's' had it.. the Carter's had it.. The Bee Gee's excelled because they were also amazing songwriters. Disco era.. Barry was always lead.. my Uncle, old school.. didn't like Bee Gee's disco era. Robin did a song back in the 60's.. Massachusetts .. it's beautiful. Check it out to see the differences.. They are great. Bee Gee's' wrote their songs.. Dolly wrote her songs.. Talent is talent and cannot be denied.
