I didn't realize how tinny and awful the sound output on the original Echo was until we replaced it with the Studio. It was a sonic upgrade far beyond what I was expecting. Just wow. I love it because it's like having speakers IN the shower. My friend likes it because the music is so loud that she can no longer hear me singing. So that's a win-win.
What it actually does it turns off stock eq and limiter made to balance out the sound (bc small speakers are not as bassy on their own) and protect the speakers from overloading and blowing out. So you shouldn’t use this mode if you don’t want blown out speakers.

What you have shown in the video (in this order) is DSP on then DSP off. The JBL Charge 3 *_DOES NOT_* come from the factory with DSP off. DSP can only be turned off by button press, as shown in the video. Please stop mixing up DSP ON and DSP OFF, unless you really know what you are talking about.
My charge 3 comes with deeper bass, and when I hold down the buttons like in the video, the bass disappears. When I reset the speaker, it has deep bass again.
What about when i turned on the speaker it sounds like it is on this extra bass mode, and if i press the bottoms i enter in a mode with no such more bass... Why?.... This extra bass mode should be only if i want but my speaker play it in front of the normal mode...

I think it's because of the low frequencies in the song. You can't hear bass under 20 hz. And yeah, I think they come with that mode on.
