Robert, Please make a note when the Juniper Model Y is officially available for buyers in the United States, will those of us that currently own a 2023 Model Y Long Range be able to purchase OEM Suspension parts for our vehicles IF the upgrade in the Juniper has improved enough to change out the 2023 Suspension for the Juniper Suspension parts.

I am so curious what Tesla is doing with Model Y. I noticed on the mobile web when you go to the configurator it does not offer the opportunity to order a Model Y, it only allows you to "shop available" cars in stock.
Very interesting. Tesla seems to be focused on clearing out remaining Model Ys, I believe the Model Y Juniper refresh is coming faster than Tesla has led on.

I'm split on launch date. The minute M3 started hitting other markets, U.S. buyers pulled back and waited. Feels like they'd want a more global-ish launch this time if they could swing it. And they're -already- seeing people hold off on MY (I'm guilty of this) in anticipation of Juniper. They have a pretty big incentive to get it to market ASAP and avoid massively staggered releases.

Yes. If you have unlimited supercharging, you can transfer to a new Tesla before the end of March.
oh....that Quicksilver color is pretty interesting. I guess I've missed things, I haven't seen that before.
When is this supposed to launch? I test drove two model y’s and a model 3 both long range. I’m only interested in longer range tbh. I’m between, Tesla, Bmw, or a Jeep Wrangler…
What’s keeping me from purchasing the model Y is vegan leather; have a friend who went to the beach and sat in her model y only to have the paint rub off the seat… wheels I keep hearing are $800 each, which to me isn’t that big of a deal , but curious if this is true or not, and ground clearance I think it’s a little low for my liking, used to Jeep Wrangler height lol.
What about the suspension?? are they going to make it softer? because right now it's too stiff!!

I did a local Highland test drive, Colorado. I did notice the changes. I agree, first sitting down you do notice the upgraded general feel. Also, the smooth and quieter ride. But, I’m only approximately 6000 miles into my 2023 M3LR. Which we absolutely love! So it’ll be sometime before I’m looking. FYI, your my only video source I use to stay current. Thanks.

Any rumors about bigger battery in new model Y ? I heard about 82kWh useable 86kWh gross
I want to get an old model Y when the refresh comes out. While all the new stuff that comes with it will be nice I’d rather get a heavy discount on a new old stock model Y. I want a red model with 5 white seats. With the tow hitch. We have a 2023 blue 7 seater now in which I love.
I'm looking forward to Model Y Juniper, might need to Wait for another Year and a half !
I have a 2020 model Y. I will wait until drive by wire, 48V and V2G. Mid 2025?

It’s seems like the headlights on the former Model 3 have always been better fit for the Model Y’s design. However, the new Model 3 headlights look great for the car’s design but I fear it will be a mismatch for the Model Y’s style. In the renderings of the Y, the shape and body lines with those headlights don’t seem to go so well. Hopefully the renderings are off a bit and they wont have identical headlights again. Let’s seee 😮
I am waiting for the juniper model y already. Ventilated seats and an improved next Gen CATL battery would be my highlights.
Think I saw one today. It definitely looks bigger and says Tesla on the back including the symbol.
I hope they make that quicksilver I remember when they had the silver on the Model S in fact I had a loaner 2018 Model S that I drove for 3 weeks while they worked on a Model S I used to own it was a 15 I bought it in 18 and sold it in 21 for a LR Y. I am very interested in getting the Juniper to replace my 21.Can't wait until it comes out thanks for the info.

It's an option for you to choose if you wish. Also Enhanced Autopilot features such that auto lane change on highways are very useful already. It is the higher option Full Self Driving that is not fully useful yet.

No new information at all and on top of that, why show the old Model Y when talking the "new" leaks? It's going to confuse a lot of people that are not familiar with the old one.
I completely agree with this point. The postponement of Juniper would only make sense if Tesla was the only EV maker in the world. People see numerous other alternatives. That is why BYD surpassed Tesla in sales. All this speculation about Juniper is nothing else than Tesla buying time or keeping the interest alive until the production line of Juniper is ready. My guess is that Giga Shanghai will launch production soon.
The red is supposed to a “special” red aswell. Interested in what that means. Ferrari perhaps. There’s a rumour of McLaren f1 being bought by Tesla - what would that mean to the shape and look.

The prototype in Europe is a Model 2. Too small for Model Y.
I am really considering now to switch from my ioniq 6 to tesla model y because mainly I feel that that i don’t quite got what i paid for ( there is a-lot of missing features on ioniq 6 in my country….)
I actually drove a model y when i was on vacation in the uk and it was amazing compared to my ioniq 6 ( mainly because that I crippled on my right hand so features like the self driving and control of the sensitivity of the driving wheel was a blessing)

I think I’m going to buy the model 3 highland and trade it in next year. It will be a loss but I want a Tesla this year and I think the model y trade in next year will be a lot worse loss the a model 3.

Electronic improvements aside, I'm not a fan of the exterior. Seems like Tesla is going backwards. The front bumper on the 2024 is 'plain' and have zero character. At least the current Model Y and previous 3 have a sport looking front grill. Same when the refreshed Model X came out, rather than having a unique front bumper and look due to it's premium price point, it basically copied its lower end models... which doesn't make any sense. Usually the top of the line designs gets trickled DOWN to lower and cheaper model... this applies to handbags, shoes, watches, etc... (disclaimer: I've owned the X since 2018, son has the 3, and I took delivery of my YP 12/31).
I want to trade in my model right now 😢 maybe next year

Thanks for keeping us up to date on the Juniper! I would love the new color to come out for the Y exclusively! I'm really looking forward to the launch. I like my 3 very much but entrance/ exit is difficult so another reason to purchase a Y. Keep doing a great job on any updates. Wish Juniper was launching this year but .....
