    lets test the wifi card built in and what Bluetooth it supports, a lot has been said about power draw from gigbytes top card as well so please test with it and what it draws from the board, and if it needs the extra board header for power as default , additionally a number of people still rock the sata connectors so if you populate both m.2 add a 16 lane card will it share bandwidth with a fully populated sata connectors as anyone with an old case will easy rock multipul hd /bluray for legacy disks and movies

    With Threadripper going to 8 channel memory its odd to me that Ryzen4 is only 2 channel I know most people don't need 64+ gig of ram but for value it would have been nice to see 4 channel on the AM5 platform seems cheap for a product that is not.

    Are you able to test if thunderbolt 4 works on the usb4 asus motherboards like the hero? As far as I can tell it's completely unanswered online if the thunderbolt 4 controllers Asus is using for USB4 support in these motherboards has the thunderbolt 4 support disabled in the BIOS, or if they just aren't advertising the support but it works anyway.

    At what frequency and timings on this board with Ryzen 7 7700X will the maximum performance be error-free? Is it worth taking 16 gigabytes of 2 bars at a frequency of 7200? 6400? 6200? 6000?

    It is slightly confusing this time around. I saw the title and thought you were reviewing the E Gaming board. It wasn’t until is spotted there was no q-code LED’s that I realised it was the F 😂. Clearly not paying attention when you were showing the front of the box. Big difference in price between the 2 this time around, so I the the F will be much more popular.

  • @ThorDyrden

    And again - though AMD offers soooo many USB-Connections now - ASUS missed out providing sufficient front-USB connectors for creators 😪
    I want to connect my cases front-ports (1xUSB-C and 2xUSB-A) AND one USB 3 card-reader! So please, please design more boards, with two front USB-A connectors - besides the absolute high-end gaming-boards. Asus is even missing on this feature on the "creator"-boards.
    Luckily MSI seems to have this requirement covered on the mid-range Carbon-series (at least the AMD X670E variant)

  • @DavidHHH99

    You should change the title to include the actual name of the motherboard. This is the X670E-F. There are at least 4 variations of the ROG Strix x670E Gaming boards.: the X670E-A, the X670E-E, the X670E-F and the X670E-I

      @@OC3D Sorry I didn’t mean that to be accusatory towards you, the point I was trying to make is, that no reviewer has had pricing from any manufacturer, like zero, and that’s what is frustrating, I must have watched 10 review / previews of the exact same boards, over the last two days looking for pricing on the them. I am in the Uk and nobody knows the price, it’s mental, I had to go and find out from Scan today, and well, the pricing is bloody awful (they probably put a few quid in the msrp if it exists) and I believe it is wholly down to the pcie 5.0 controllers as buildzoid said they are really really expensive and pointless as 1: pcie 4.0 hasn’t t been nowhere near saturated in x16 slots, and pcie 5.0 products aren’t even available. It’s like you warned us, AMD could turn into Intel on pricing…. And they have.

    • @chill77777
      @chill77777 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@OC3D Love your content and your videos man.
      Just hoping you can stand up for us and say, "no pricing information, no coverage" -- it could be made out of solid gold and magically make all processors run at 30C and 10GHZ, doesn't matter if there's no reasonable pricing.
      Let's be honest: we both know the manufacturers are just trying to gouge price for a couple months prior to having any competition on the market, get as much "early adopter tax" as possible -- and that's why they don't post MSRP with all the rest of the info released.
      Just would be nice if you & other good media coverage would call them out for this.
