I don’t understand why everyone says these pods are expensive, personally one double espresso pod is enough for me for one coffee a day. As I only drink one latte or one caramel macchiato I don’t need multiple shots. Each pod is 1$ whereas I’m spending 7$ at Starbucks for one coffee. So I mean in my opinion it’s inexpensive. Saves a TON of money? So :)
Not everybody wastes money at Starbucks, neither does the majority if us are satisfied with just one espresso shot in the morning. So yes, it is expensive for people with normal practices.

I love my VertuoPlus , had it for almost three years and so far, no issues, though expensive pods but still love the way it taste, other expresso machine - time consuming to making it, that just my opinion

How is the Verturo Plus holding up so far??
I just got my machine today (148.95 including the added 3-year warranty. I agree the pods are expensive; however, a lot cheaper than a coffee shop. Starbucks here gets $3.65 for a 3.0 oz. (quad) shot. That doesn't include toppings, additives, etc. I can get a box of 8 pods for $10.98 or $1.38 each. Overall, it is still cheaper. I may invest in a Different machine as I prefer Cappuccino and this machine doesn't make it.

The machine can make espresso. You just need to use the espresso pod.
Hi Noah. Do you know the height of the Vertuo Plus when the top is open? Don't want it hitting the upper cabinets, if I have it back from the counter's edge. Thanks in advance!
It is 1.2 inches higher than the room you have
Reads a barcode. I can see issues with reusable capsules. Maybe that's why they added it, all their machines will have that in the future.

You can also reuse the same pod with a new foil top
The fact that I pay almost $40 a week on Starbucks (I’m a coffee addict) that I view their “$1.10” per pods extremely cheap in my eyes 😂😂 even to add an extra short of espresso in my Starbucks drink is .50 cents - $1 more I think so I think Starbucks lovers would definitely benefit and save more on these. Bought an Nespresso plus for the purpose of saving money from Starbucks and still drinking good quality coffee / lattes!
With the saved money buy a Starbucks stock and now you will benefit from other coffee addicts who don't want to buy a coffee machine.
Pricey pods ☹️
These are a ridiculously expensive way to make a decent coffee at home. I can make the same on a delonghi dedica for 40c
