      Yup, you’ll find pretty much every arcsys archetype/character from GG and Blaz or at least elements of them in the Persona Arena cast

    Thank you!! I picked up Persona 4 for the first time and decided to learn Narukami. Your guide and this character got me to really enjoy fighting games in general. So thank you.
    Btw. Would I be able request for a guide for Naoto and/or Elizabeth?

      I’m so happy that I could help!

      Naoto and Elizabeth probably sometime in November

    Hello, total fighting game noob here - why exactly is frame data so important? Even at 30 frames/second, 1 frame is so fast that your eye can't even catch it...

    • @JayPhoenix
      @JayPhoenix  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I do plan to make a video discussing this!
      But for a quick summary:
      Fighting games are 60 frames per second
      And you’re totally right, something like 10 frames is visibly imperceivable to the human eye
      BUT, they add up, so once you’re in the 20+ frame range. You have enough time to think and react, and the more knowledge you have, the quicker you can react correctly.
      So quick example. If a move is 25 frames form start, to hit, to recovery. And you know it’s minus 10 if you block it -
      That means that whenever you block that move you can be ready to punish it with any move that is less than 10 frames of startup while your opponent recovers.
      The frame perfect timing of when to press the button to fit within that window is something you naturally get a feel for as you play a specific game.

    what is the right way to block a cross-up like 5:04 if im fighting against a Yu Narukami?

    • @JayPhoenix
      @JayPhoenix  ปีที่แล้ว

      Always block cross-ups the other way. So you’re essentially holding forward to block if that makes sense. Some fighting game characters abuse cross ups by making it look really ambiguous so you don’t know why way to block.

    how do i jump cancel and dash cancel on controllerrer

    • @JayPhoenix
      @JayPhoenix  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Not all moves are jump cancellable but for the ones that are like down+B you just hold jump while the move connects. Same with dashing. Also be mindful that some moves are jump/dasah cancellable on hit but may not be on block

    How do you practice wake up dp in training mode?

    • @JayPhoenix
      @JayPhoenix  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can record the opponent sweeping you with down + a + b and practice your timing that way
      Unless you’re asking how to record the opponent doing wake up DP to practice your safe jump. Which is a bit more complicated and idk if I can adequately explain 😅
      But you essentially start the recording and mash DP as fast as you can. Then to practice, do the combo and as you’re jumping in on the waking opponent, use the button shortcut to activate their recording. I have mine set as L2

    Are there some tips on pressing quarter-circle inputs like 236? I've played only MK and Smash before and it's kinda hard for me. And I'm using Dualshock

    • @JayPhoenix
      @JayPhoenix  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hmm, best advice I'd say is use the D-Pad. Coming from MK, you need to speed up a little. MK is very lenient with their inputs and also let you press down then forward for their motions without the diagonal.
      Build a rhythm with a rubbing motion and the attack button. Just streak from the down direction to the forward direction and press the attack button as soon as the motion comes to a stop.
      Don't rush it either, find the slowest motion that allows you to get the command to work and keep practicing it from there. It'll come naturally eventually. Don't overthink it either

    Great guide man, I have a question, I've seen in clips from previous version that 236 C/D can be hold for pressure, was this removed in this version or you gotta put an special input? thanks for the guide.

    • @JayPhoenix
      @JayPhoenix  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not to my knowledge
      BUT, what you may have seen is that when Izanagi is already summoned from a previous move or even a previous Zio, C version will always fire from where Izanagi is and the D version will always have Izanagi teleport and then fire from where you’re currently positioned.
      You can try tossing a Zio D version on the ground then jump and do a C version while Izanagi is still out there and see if that’s what you might’ve been thinking of.

  • @deiu6909
    @deiu6909 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Great video, though I do have a question that would apply to every character. Is this a good way to get the double quarter circle inputs needed for moves like Ziodyne more consistently? I can do the moves that require only 1 circle input pretty well, but when it comes to ones that require 2, I tend to instead do the move that uses only 1 input, as if the first input I did was just movement and the second was the one used for the input. Is there a good way to pull it off more consistently or does it just take practice?

    • @JayPhoenix
      @JayPhoenix  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Pretty much just practice. If I had to guess, you might be rushing it a little and doing it *too* fast. You wanna make sure you get the attack input after the double quarter circle
      Try doing it very slowly, get the rhythm and then speed it up
