I wouldn't have subverted Billy's sacrifice at the end. You can still have WW come and do her thing, if you want, and maybe have the wizard hint that Billy may return at some other time or in some other world. Just a slight nod at the possibility of him returning in Gunn's DCU.

The one time I genuinely laughed was when Hespera was reading Shazam’s bird letter and later on in the letter she starts reading the background conversations that “Steve” picks up on and wrote down.

I honestly lost interest with this movie after a while and didn’t care if this was as good as The Godfather Part 2 or The Empire Strikes Back, I also found it funny how they showed Wonder Woman’s cameo in the ads, told me that WB was so desperate to get people to see this movie.

My favorite part of the movie was when Gal Gadot as the Script Supervisor showed up to tell everyone that they couldn’t keep Billy dead, and magic out of the world cause they might need that after Flashpoint.
Zachary Levi actually worked out for shazam 2 and they did not use a padded suit for it.

I think only shazam can use any door to go to that place and use the door to leave. If that door is closed in her world, she couldnt just go there and enter shazam world, thats why she had to be taken there by him. Pay attention please, they explain that in the movie. Just remember that they used a bathroom to escape and when calypso opened the door a man was there. Also, i think you also forgot about the DOME, no one could enter the fucking town. The older and the youngest wanted to restore their world and only lucy liu decided to plant it on earth, thats why she killed one and almost killed the other.

Shazam is the British Museum of super powers. If they're using stolen powers - the story arc could've been about offering to give it back and after the arc, prove worthy of keeping it etc.

As someone who's worn glasses all my life and randomly learned how to use contacts one day. Glasses DO fool people into not realizing who you are (if) they're not constantly in your face all the time.
Why are people acting like James Gunn made the movie? The movie finished filming in August of 2021. WB didn't make the deal with Gunn until more than a year later. And this film only had a budget of $125 million, a bit more than half of the budget of Black Adam. This was a low priority project by WB from the beginning.
Everything is a low priority for WB
And yet, I think this was a fantastic movie and should be a smash hit with families and action fans. Deserves to make their money back and more.

Exactly, this is a movie from the old regime. If you follow the timeline of events Gunn would have been working on Guardians 3 at the time, he had nothing to do with this movie or the end credit scenes that is all the old regime. The end credits scene every one is so upset about, she says Justice Society. That is direct connection to the Rock's Black Adam movie which Gunn also had nothing to do with, All the Rock on that one and his attempt at a power grab.
This is a movie I'll wait for to come on HBO

I'm just not watching to be honest lol. At least in Black Adam, The Rock was actually a Chad. Zach Levis muscle suit is so laughably plastic that I can't look at Shazam and co. without squirting milk out of my nose.
This movie was heartfelt and awesome, magical to say the least
Billy wrote a love letter to Diana, that's how she knew about him. She probably looked him up, found out he died and went to his funeral.
I don't know how she got to the realm, but she probably overheard their conversation about the staff.

Actually, there really weren't any more gods in the DCEU. Ares killed them all, as revealed in Wonder Woman (2017). Zeus' dying act after finally defeating and banishing Ares from Olympus was creating the invisible barrier that protected Themyscira. So the Wizard was actually right in that statement.

Exactly bro, no one is looking really close at Clark Kent, much less having extended conversations - not only does he goes out of his way to not draw social attention to himself but he actually acts awkward at so people actively try to avoid him.
