Dear NBS, one request: please be sure the audio is not cut off before the final chord fully decays in the hall, as happened in this posting. I feel almost as bad as if the entire chord was cut off! Thank you for the incredible recordings you bring to us, I can't live without them!
I am a Catholic, but not a practitioner, yet many aspects of the Protestant faith appeal to me very much. Bach's masses have a spiritual depth, which, in my opinion, go beyond the Catholic or Lutheran faith, the passion and love with which this excellent Dutch ensemble performs this music is already something in itself religious; the feeling with which this music is performed, whether believers or not, manages to touch the depths of the soul; it is therefore the religion of inner harmony that this music, written by Bach, manages to touch the deepest chords of our soul and the ensemble is able to create it thanks to the even visual and intuitive harmony that can be seen among the musicians themselves, that's harmony of souls. Thanks so much for your so beautiful performance and for sharing.
I have been awestruck by these little Masses. They were written for the Lutheran liturgy. The great Miss in b-minor was written for use in Catholic circles. As a Catholic priest, I praise God that He has given such skill. Choral singing is one of the best and highest endeavors of humankind. May God grant special blessings to all who hear.
An absolute masterpiece! Thank you Netherlands Bach Society for creating such high quality content. How you guys dont have millions of subscribers is beyond me.
Bach´s Music is like a living river: it can be shorter or longer but it always carries water... There are no words to express so much inexhaustible inspiration... Oh, my Bach, I believe in you... Thank you AoB for this wonderful performance...
A perfect rendition of a less known work by JS Bach. this is a Missa Brevis, apparently written for lutheran liturgical services. Bach often used music from previous works, apparently this was the case with the F major Mass, using pieces from previous cantatas. The interpretation of the Netherlands Bach Society is as usual impeccable. Many thanks.
Best musicianship. Delightful. Thank you for practicing, performing, and recording these pieces so we can watch and listen to these Bach pieces. Stunningly excellent. Bach is smiling down from heaven!
A wonderful and exuberant celebration of the F major mass. Delightful performances by all and special congratulations to the Horn players. This is one of many favourite works of mine by JS Bach. Because of the horns I've secretly always called this the "Hunting" Mass. (My own title). I hope soon that the superb G Minor Mass will come our way from the Netherlands Bach Society. If the officers of the society read this then I offer my thanks for some wonderful performances discovered this year 2019, and I look forward to finding a lot more in the forthcoming year. Greetings from a very happy viewer and listener in Papua New Guinea.
Thank you! The Mass in G minor has not yet been published on TH-cam, but you can already view this work on our All of Bach-website: www.bachvereniging.nl/en/bwv/bwv-235/ Enjoy!
Absolutely beautiful and inspiring, everyone! I needed this today, especially with all of the craziness going on in my country (USA) and around the world of course.
Man, that opening melody the strings play in the Domine … I remember being awestruck the first time I heard it. So light, so sublime. Truly excellent performance!👌
@@henryalexander7325 You do know that Late Baroque winds were designed to play at A415, which is a 1/2 step below A440? Of course, you know that! But maybe you were born with your ears tuned to A440.

Thank you again! Netherlands Bach Society is one of" Las Bienaventuranzas"
Great mass masterpiece! But is in F Major.

In my youth I sang in a Latin catholic choir for 8 years. Bach was never really any thing I knew
Now I am listening to the whole BWV.
Yashua saves. There is only one Church: the marriage of Heaven & Earth. 🙌

It's not about quantity but quality 😎
Rest in Peace, Elsbeth Gerritsen.

Well his name means Brook so there's that
@@saulbenyisrael9045 Certainly, sir. Brook = Bach.🥰🥰
Love this because of the horns - and was there ever such a glorious Gloria?!
The Kyrie is beyond heavenly, I can't even begin to wrap my mind around it.
Conductor, musicians and singers have fun and enjoy themselves by performing Bach... Yes, the perfection exists... Thank you AOB for sharing.

22:02 is such a gorgeous sequence. The baroque master really had an appreciation of when to use the circle of fifths progression. Absolutely beautiful
A really lovely performance, the Gloria is sublime. Well done NBS. And well done JS Bach!
Check out the Flamig recording. It's slower, therefore better.
Quoniam is so beautiful...one of the best counterpoints in vocal music.
One of the greatest musical masterspieces of all Time !!!…
at 25'37" the clarity of that colaratura in the sopranos - good lord that is artistry

So beautifully exalted and honored. Best congratulations
These singers are very lucky to be very talented to sing like this ! As a very amateur bass, I am very envious !
The Gloria is massive!
Magnificent performance I absolutely love it

Excellent! Bach, the greatest
BACH puts every one to work
Grande compagnia per l'anima!
The Quoniam (Aria) is also part of BWV 102. Both are amasing.
Thanks for the amazing job putting out all these Bach works! Absolutely great!
A splendid performance. Thank you for the recording.
I see my friend, Matthew Brook.
Amazing.
Good to see and hear Szuszi Toth, soprano, from Vox Luminis.

Bravissimo!! Magnífico!
Beautiful music 🎶🙏🙏🎶🎵😘😘😘😘😘😘😘
what an incredible performance...one way flight for my soul ♥️thank you!✨💫💫
Très belle interprétation 😊
This is the sound of God's mercy..
Sehr gut, danke.
...That Piece of Bach you always find randomly (although having listened to 100h Bach)
thank you♡♡♡♡♡
;:- ))) Bananen-Joe
super !
Wow
Meravellós!!!
In F Major not in minor
it sounds E Major to me
Henry Alexander might just be baroque tuning
The All of Bach website lists it as F Major

Thank you! It has been corrected: F major is the correct key.

"Oneique" 😇
Wonderful music Like the very charming beautiful blonde violin player woman first row Standing up. Thanks you for such gratifying feelings.
Misa Brevis in Fa Mayor. BWV 233.No "Fa Minor".
I hope the horns sounded more prominent live, because they are recorded too softly here.
The guy behind the double bass sure looks like Kevin Fox from the Swingle Singers.
Why the sound is E Major and not F Major??
Because of the baroque Tuning of the instruments. (a = 415 Hz)
It's actually E major
What a strange oboe part in the Qui Tollis, almost like modern music.
*F major
No doubt the Churches are an appropriate place for this type of works.
All musicians present their skills great. Except the violonist, he's also an exaggerating charlatan. I mean, look at him!
Listen, don't look.
Try to focus on exception skills of everyone performing.
