Hi all: a bunch of rather premium desk setup eye candy for you lot this week: ooooo nice mug! I love them all - what's your fav? 📣+ Get DeltaHub's Carpio 2.0 at deltahub.io/products/carpio-2 - your wrists will thank you!
I love these little detail videos! I bought a beautiful insulated water pitcher for my work studio and now I actually drink water :) Been aeropressing for decades and I can’t imagine anything else.
Looking just on track for end of the month (depending on when a Beta feature I’m testing / including is made public! 😜 …will send out an email update this week 💪 So many exciting new features to add!
Excellent showcase of premium desk accessories for those with an eye for design. Your attention to detail and emphasis on high-quality materials and craftsmanship is impressive. Overall, your video provides valuable insights for anyone looking to create a premium and stylish workspace. Your passion for design and quality shines through in every aspect of the video, and I appreciate the effort you put into creating such an informative and visually stunning guide. Well done!
I have the orbit key desk mat, it's amazing. One complaint is it slides around a tad bit, so if you can find something more grippy, like a cabinet drawer liner to stick underneath it's perfect. For me though it doesn't move enough to bother me, so I love the mat.
My least obvious favorite thing about Ugmonk analog is when you’re done with a card, and you want to file it away on the bottom of the card deck, the wood case has this thoughtfully designed slope like an on-ramp to easily slide the card in. Such a subtle thing that shows how obsessive they were in their design.
Nice - yes - it’s so well made - and it should be! It’s a premium index card product so they have to get it right for the price… and I think they nailed it! :)
Hey for magfloat pro is the material of the middle part still rough and abrasive on the new model compared to old one? I found the old mag float stand middle part rough and abrasive compared to what the iPad back feels like when sliding fingers I also found the edges not rounded and quite sharp and pointy which also digs into skin when holding it or moving it that way I would like the material to feel smoother and less edgy/pointy
Yeah, they have a limited collection of hasami bits - you really just have to search for hasami porcelain and see what stores supply near you. - I got mine from ‘Le gent’
Hey mate! Nice selection of accessories. I also have the orbitkey nest and it is very useful I carry it with me every day. Out of curiosity...which app were you using on you iPad to design your studio?
Thanks pal. Yeah - me too - the nest is fab. Ah yes it’s a surprisingly good find and very advanced but learnable: it’s called Live Home 3D. Very good.
I'm pretty new to the channel, but just wanted to say the quality of your content is outstanding! Your editing is some of the best I've seen with these types of videos and I find really useful, not to mention your great personality! Anyway, you've gained a new subscriber :)
@@BetterCreating when I lived in Seoul I had a habit of wandering into Muji during my lunch break and could never resist buying at least something. I wish they had one in Austin.
Love your enthusiasm Simon! I will be setting up a new desk area soon-ish and will loop back to this video, thanks. Great to see how you combine physical notepads with computer stuff. I do too, and still sometimes wonder why. It just feels good to write it out sometimes, I personally think our brains function differently comparing the on paper method with the on keyboard method. OK on to the other videos you suggested here! p.s. Please use superfluous as much as you possibly can. Sounds sooo good with your accent :)
Haha, thanks! I feel you - completely agree about the combo of digital and analog. Better personal connection when working on ideas particularly with pen to paper. :)
I have the Hasami mugs, but I cant get over the textured porclain. It just bugs me. Dont get me wrong they're stunning - but I cant stand to drink out of them.

I hear you - tricky one - but I personally don’t choose to mention price in the video as it can change over time from manufacturers, if people like things, the links can provide correct info. It’s a tricky one as a creator. Cheers! :)
i want none of those things, the screwdriver 😂 nono wera to go here, i have my small vitra toolbox with all that stuff beside. its on the tiptoe holder with an carpenders box attached. beside my string wall shelf. or over my eiermann 1 table. in front of my vitra studio chair. and im architect and product designer. should i make yt videos for that 😅
Hard to read, but I think you are mocking me? Anyways, yes, definitely don’t waste your hard earned money of stuff you don’t want! That would just be succumbing to capitalism. 👀😝
Yes, it’s a nicely packaged set of index cards and some thing design: so if I always recommend making your own if you are not into it or don’t want to pay the money: for those with the money to spend - the design is super effective and I love using them! :)
These products do seem nice, but I do feel like I'm watching one giant sponsored video. All the links are sponsored ones for the most part and it sort of gives the vibe off
Ah sorry to hear try at my friend - I do these videos occasionally for stuff I really like - so can see how you might find that - my other vids tend to be about solutions and so living problems for people for productivity - maybe you’ll find those more chill on the sponsored link vibes! Thanks for watching. :)
Hi - no products were sponsored in this video: and no money changed hands. I simply received a few to test out, and have used 'affiliate links' in the description - these give me a % of the sale income at no cost to the buyer. Hope that answers your question.
Haha - yep - as I say - definitely premium!! I think they prices mostly reflect smaller independent sized companies and good materials so their margins are not like Amazon… but also that said - there is definately a ‘design’ mark up! :)
All that waste, I was expecting the house to look like a mess but what's inside the camera frame looks fine. All I could think of is "this guy needs an intervention" :D
Ah yeah that’s the worst. Ha - these things definitely aren’t important things (!) but i think they are cool - but I reckon this one wasn’t for you if you found it all pretentious! All the best
Welcome to the channel! Nothing is for everyone I guess - haha. They do glazed version too if you find raw porcelain to look too much like excrement! 😂
Amazing video - i like the way you present things! I wanted to get in touch with CharjenPro regarding a TH-cam collab, do they have a separate email (not support) that I can get in touch with them with?
I just emailed directly to support asking about it - try a DM too. I can’t really share further emails due to GDPR :) but the Char of CharJenPro stands for Charlie. 👍 good luck!

Muji also makes a great fountain pen. Another premium rabbit hole.

Nice one :)
amazing video and channel. Thank you
Thank you too!
Where did you get your eyeglasses? Love the style!
My new ones are from Cubitts. :)
The white keyboard with gray and yellow looks great? What brand is it?
Ah thanks. It’s a Keychron Q series with a set of custom keys from Keychron also + a tape mod for sound. :)
very nice!

No worries. I’m filming on a Fuji XH2S - but think this one was on the XT4 :)
Love the Analog system! Have used it for years.
It’s very good! :)
What is the name of the mounted white bookshelf that is holding g your books and plants at 0:13?

This it’s my Sony WH1000s - think mine are version 3 but there are 4 and 5 possibly now. Great noise cancelling - particularly good for flights
Amazing quality!!
What is the name of the other desk pad in tape material??
No it sure on that - if you mean the black desk mat - it’s the leather desk mat from Orbitkey

Hoto sells a precision screwdriver kit that may be more suited to unscrew keyboards
Yes they do and it it definitely is: but I don’t need two since I only dabble :)
Does the Carpio work with an ergonomic mouse set up?
Works I think with any mouse where your wrist sits palm towards the desk
Great Video! but i was wondering what keycap set you used on the thumbnail and throught the video?
They are Keychron pbt caps - search their website and you’ll find the options :)

What is the bias light cube at 7:48? Its on the back of the monitor.
That’s the back of the BenQ halo … or a small magnetic video light from ULANZI. :)
what desk riser are you using

I’d say the materials feel very similar. Still think it’s a fab stand - definitely the most premium I’ve found. :)
Does anyone know what keyboard is that showing on 8:59?
How come the Ugmonk site doesn't have the matching coaster for the coffee mug? Does anyone know where we can order the matching coaster?
