I have the orbit key desk mat, it's amazing. One complaint is it slides around a tad bit, so if you can find something more grippy, like a cabinet drawer liner to stick underneath it's perfect. For me though it doesn't move enough to bother me, so I love the mat.

My least obvious favorite thing about Ugmonk analog is when you’re done with a card, and you want to file it away on the bottom of the card deck, the wood case has this thoughtfully designed slope like an on-ramp to easily slide the card in. Such a subtle thing that shows how obsessive they were in their design.
Nice - yes - it’s so well made - and it should be! It’s a premium index card product so they have to get it right for the price… and I think they nailed it! :)

Thanks! I have a little magnetic ULANZI battery light on there plugged in to usbc. But also the benq screenbar halo has a back light.

Thanks pal. Yeah - me too - the nest is fab. Ah yes it’s a surprisingly good find and very advanced but learnable: it’s called Live Home 3D. Very good.
Love your enthusiasm Simon! I will be setting up a new desk area soon-ish and will loop back to this video, thanks. Great to see how you combine physical notepads with computer stuff. I do too, and still sometimes wonder why. It just feels good to write it out sometimes, I personally think our brains function differently comparing the on paper method with the on keyboard method. OK on to the other videos you suggested here! p.s. Please use superfluous as much as you possibly can. Sounds sooo good with your accent :)

This it’s my Sony WH1000s - think mine are version 3 but there are 4 and 5 possibly now. Great noise cancelling - particularly good for flights

I create Notion templates that help people organise their lives and feel less overwhelmed with their day to day work, I work in the theatre as a theatre director, and I’m currently directing a musical and a Christmas show. other than watching TH-cam, what about you? :)

Hey for magfloat pro is the material of the middle part still rough and abrasive on the new model compared to old one? I found the old mag float stand middle part rough and abrasive compared to what the iPad back feels like when sliding fingers
I also found the edges not rounded and quite sharp and pointy which also digs into skin when holding it or moving it that way
I would like the material to feel smoother and less edgy/pointy
I’d say the materials feel very similar. Still think it’s a fab stand - definitely the most premium I’ve found. :)

I have the Hasami mugs, but I cant get over the textured porclain. It just bugs me. Dont get me wrong they're stunning - but I cant stand to drink out of them.

Yeah, they have a limited collection of hasami bits - you really just have to search for hasami porcelain and see what stores supply near you. - I got mine from ‘Le gent’

This "analog" system is just paper for god sake. I find it really interesting how marketing can make paper become something bigger than it is.
Yes, it’s a nicely packaged set of index cards and some thing design: so if I always recommend making your own if you are not into it or don’t want to pay the money: for those with the money to spend - the design is super effective and I love using them! :)
